I'm still honestly confused as to how this can go out of stock so quick knowing this is nation wide. Doesn't make sense to me.

I'd be curious at the number of people watching the page nationwide. I'd probably put them at about a few hundred people who refresh or check a ton.

They then order theirs, and go to their community to spread the news- so you have Reddit and GAF and wherever else. Those community people are watching their threads and there's another few hundred or so in each. We're already at 1000. Add in the lurkers reading all of these and not being members, and you can probably sell out of 1500 of something in no time.

Maybe we need to see if there's a way to get everyone who got a Dedede at Target just now as members, and at least know a bare minimum of how many they have. I know I used to be a lot bigger in this thread, but I've become a much bigger lurker recently. Really just waiting on Wave 4 preorders to come out.

The issue with now in stock is that it checks in a certain time interval (I think 5 mins someone said?) so depending on when it goes up, it may not be checking and amiibos go so fast, it may never catch it, depending on the circumstances. Also, from what I understand, this instance was different because it never actually showed as in stock, or if it did, it wasn't for very long. Someone said it was greyed out from pretty much the moment it was linked, and if that was the case, it would have not shown up as in stock for the site.

From what I saw, Dedede never actually was in stock according to the site and button. It was only when clicking on a greyed out button that it added to cart. I have no clue how anyone found out. I mean I do have a clue, but I'm sure it has to do with someone sitting around clicking non stop all day, and I don't want to think about that...

I don't know how or why this is the case, but on this one side there is a clear cut or tear through the packaging:

The entire bottom of the packaging is also not glued onto the cardboard backing (I'm lifting it in this photo and the next to demonstrate this):

And is kind of warped and peeling off on the other side too:

There's also just some general damage to the packaging:

Does anyone have any idea what to make of this? Returning it is probably out of the question. I imagine they wouldn't have any replacements on hand because it's in such limited supply. So I'm likely going to keep it, but I still find this very strange and slightly concerning.

Likely that whoever opened the box containing the shipment of Amiibos used a boxcutter and accidentally damaged your amiibo box.

If I had to guess, I would say that he was meant to go on sale, but they hadn't enabled the in stock button yet, and someone found him just from clicking. That is just my guess though.

So while we wait to inevitably be screwed out of another amiibo, here's a question: why the hell does the Target iOS app keep forgetting my Red Card information? I don't get it, I'm logged into my Target account, which my Red Card is attached to. On Target.com it shows up just fine, and the first few times I used the Target app I didn't have to enter anything but my pin. Now every time a checkout it's like there's no card on file, with only the option to add a new card from scratch. Whenever I add the Red Card it stays for a while until my session inevitably expires.
