What's with the Coleman logo in the back?

Have there been real-world brands in any other FF games?

Only the Coca-cola FF9 commercials come to mind... and that was not in the game itself.

These graphics are so shit. It's not like the real life I was promised when I bought a PS4. Pre-order cancelled. I demand fucking perfection!

Not a game but FF7AC had that tie in with that one Panasonic phone. The phone was featured fairly frequently in the movie.

Oh yeah and technically FFXV already has clothes designed by ROEN, but those were designed specifically for the game and its not clear if any of it will ever be sold to the public.

In that case there was also the URL for Squaresoft when you change discs in FFVIII.

Not sure I'd really count that... but good point.

I was more or less trying to find product placements for parts in the game where you have full control. This is more of a static image.

But yeah, it's tough to find anything.

Honestly, I didn't find "My Hands" that bad for the game. I just heard it more than enough times that it really felt like it was outside of its element.

did you guys completely forget this area, calm the heck down

Yup, it's why I have a belief (or rather, hope) that Duscae really is just a beginner's area which tends to be more tame in nature, and that as the game progresses, we get to visit more wild and interesting locations.

My Hands is both a shit song and wasn't even written for the game. It was S-E thinking they were on to something by paying to get a Leona Lewis song in the game. It was shitty, didn't fit, didn't make any thematic sense or relation to the story, characters, or ending, and to this day remains one of the most transparent marketing decisions for any videogame out there.

Even more fucking insulting to the game composers who worked their asses off on the entirety of the soundtrack only to have some pop song stand in place for something that they could have did both emotionally and thematically. It's like sticking a random Lada Gaga song at the end of a Lord of the Rings movie instead of letting Howard Shore close out his soundtrack with a meaningful theme.

LOL Bad Romance plays as Frodo destroys the ring

Hell I have nothing against any of these artists, I like some of Leona's and Gaga's shit but that was a really terrible decision in every aspect. It was done only for marketing reasons rather than creative ones. I remember when the endings to these games used to get me legitimately worked up, like
Yuna passing through Tidus' fading body, or Vivi's letter
so just thinking about this pisses me off.

Yep, it was a terrible decision from all involved.

To be fair, "My Hands" replaced a shitty J-Pop song.

I would have been fine with a shitty pop song that was actually written for the game instead of a random song stuck in there for shameless marketing reasons. FFXIII-2 had a shitty Jpop song at the end of it but at least it was made for the game.

Won't disagree with you there. My Hands was woefully out of place.

I'm not saying that an original piece of music would have saved FFXIII's ending, but it would have been better than just plucking out a random popular song in a futile attempt to attract a market that doesn't give a shit about Final Fantasy to their game.
