While I don't encourage paying scalpers even a penny, if you seriously want it that bad, go ahead and make the jump.
Or take the risk that you can preorder an import when those come up.

I can't believe people are already selling them! What happens if the preorders get canceled? I had to preorder Sonic 3 times just to make sure I got one and my friend got one. It will be a sad day for these scalpers trying to make quick money but don't even have the product in their hand.
Was hoping to keep him in box, so a NA would have been most preferable - living in the US and all.
Could someone post information on this LINE? I missed Gold Mario by a couple of seconds. I still have him 2 in my cart and its telling me to remove them
Yeah, I would really appreciate some kind of guide on how to join LINE - I got the app downloaded and registered an account, but I don't see any kind of group message thing.

I got Rosalina that way. Granted, the weather was awful that day and I got there an hour after they opened but I did, technically, walk in and get one.
Do go on. These sound like "pleasant" people.

Not sure it just did that. I am in colorado and there is a walmart down the road so maybe it shows at their store and then gets shipped to me from there? I know best buy does that kind of thing sometimes.

This is normal. Preorders are sold all the time on ebay and shows just how much of scum scalpers are. Leaches that exist only to prevent others from getting an item just so they can make money with no risk at all.

Nintendo delved thier hands into the variant game , they are well aware of what they are doing , they are pandering to the collector crowd.
Just wait for the Gaming publications to spread the word of Gold Mario being sold out , it will not only increase hype but also hysteria ,this will be the Majoras Mask XL all over again.

Oh i completely understand, But i might not be any better since i bought one only out of the chance that someone would trade figures i actually want for it. and only 1 (i dispise scalping )
This has been happening for Nintendo merchandise for as long as they have been alive don't you understand?They prosper from this publicity as another user mentioned earlier on its better for them to sell out of Stock at low quantities than it is to produce large quantities of stock that may or may not be sold out.
Its true Iwata really does look like a hero to his board of investors.

Had him in my cart and was about ready to finish checking out and it sold and force me to remove it from my cart lol. Oh well I'm not that hungry for him but would have been a cool thing to have sitting on shelf. If I really want him I just have a regular mario painted gold, shouldn't be too hard.

There's plenty of Warlmarts close to Clifton, there's 1 right on 46 (elmwood park) 1 right off it (garfield) and 1 being built right off Teterboro (which might be the best place to get them as it's going to open in April).
There's also one off Route 3 on 1/9 in North Bergen.
That's like a 10-20 minute drive from the western most parts of Clifton, and I'm not including the ones west/south/north of clifton. And the Garfield/North Bergen ones are 24/7 (just can't buy certain items in the Garfield/Clifton ones due to bergen blue laws on Sunday).
People want different things. A shocking and powerful revelation, I know, but not everyone sees the world like you.
Anyway, the way this happened admittedly made me a little nervous for Wave 4. I was pretty convinced that it, like the other waves, would be up for a pre-order for at least a few days but this went up and down in a manner of minutes. It's a bit early, I guess, since it could come up again and all, but a bad foreboding.

I get that they're supposed to post about it but it was sold out by the time they posted it, just like MM3D LE and the MM XL. And all the tweets with meta knight and D3...it just seems so out of line.
I remember when people were excited with the idea this could be club Nintendo stuff. Then NoA went and decided to be NoA instead.
Don't forget silver mario can't shoot fireballs that turn things including living creatures into money.

Trading I have no issue with, as you are not looking to make a profit, you just want another figure.
But people taking away valuable Amiibos (or whatever the item is) from others just to put extra cash in their pockets can go jump off a cliff.
I casually strolled into Target a half hour after they opened on Rosalina's release and got one. They had about five of them and there was no one else there.

Walmart has figures in stock, DK ,mario, luigi and all the peach you can ever want.
It was because of that Tweet that I found it. I even had to update address and billing first. So, it wasn't sold out at the time.
