Hoping for captain toad preload when the shop comes back
I noticed in OP that you said miiverse maintenances are now announced and they just update it. To my understanding the miiverse is using a service to connect to an html 5 service and those are rarely taken offline since they generally update fine after the new data is committed, to my knowledge the only time those services go down is when all the data centers are wiped out for what ever reason
err... this might be off topic and i'm sorry if it is, but after the last update my wiimote doesn't work on system menus
the finger/pointer thingie doesn't show up on screen
it works perfectly fine before. i have absolutely no idea why & what to do
i've tried re-syncing it, re-arranging the order, removing the batteries, and nothing seems to work. the pointers seems to be gone for good.
* i still able to use the d-pad and buttons. just the pointers are missing
* they're the old wiimotes, not wiimoteplus
any suggestions would be much appreciated, thanks

Why would they give a free game when online play is unaffected?
And I actually was able to access the eShop just a couple minutes ago... don't really get what's the problem here, ha ha.
Edit: tried again, working flawlessly (even faster to load the eShop than usual).
I guess Nintendo was feeling left out with those PSN/XBL outages, so they decided to fake one

Nintendo really should update their maintenance page faster than 30mn after it happens.

Glad I got my game early afternoon. Zelda OoT on 3ds, ~1pm EST. The download was quick.
No, both DSi Shop and Wii Shop Channel are still up, only the Nintendo Wifi Connection ended.
There's tiny bit of trouble...

When was the last time Lost World had maintenance done, if ever?
In the last Nintendo Direct, they mentioned allowing Amiibo functionality in a February update. I haven't received my N3DSXL yet, but I assume this will added data management options like on Wii U. Also stability.
Also before that there's some minor maintenance for Flipnote Studio 3D.
