I can't wait to have enough money set aside to get that figure. It's beautiful. Hell, I'll even get an extra Lucina amiibo and use it to see if I can mod the figma figure to work like an amiibo just to give me more reason to pull it off the shelf XD

Lol I'm doubting most people here will be able to pre order even one Lucina let alone 2 although that would be a very cool mod if you can get it done.

Do it if you can, then post the pics :D

I'm just imagining you pulling out a 5-6 inch Lucina figure just to put on a wii u to scan in lol

Got to add Sonic today. :)

Waiting on Mega Man And Gold Mario.

Lol and just like a previous poster posted way back I wouldn't be surprised if NoA outright prevented certain amiibos from making it here,on the grounds that they are too obesecure to even be worth marketing.

If they were going to do this, they already would have with figures like Shulk or Little Mac. Super low stock, sure, but this is really just straight unwarranted paranoia.

EDIT: And besides, all of Wave 4 was talked about in the last NA Direct.

Not at all I'm pretty sure we all assumed the Normal sized new sized 3ds will make it here , I'm sure we also assumed Nintendo would produce enough GameCube adapters to go around for the massive Smash player base not only that we assumed the Majoras Mask XL would go around for more than 10 people lol

What I'm trying to get at here is to expect the unexpected with Nintendo, they will do things that seem alien to us if they see fit.

Ha, I could make lots of recommendations of girls I like, but I already have an avatar I can change whenever ;p Yep, of course she'll get the amiibo treatment too!

Pick a character you enjoy and go for it. <3

Thanks for the advice , I'l be putting up a classic character for my avatar then!

  • Fire Emblem figure rarity
  • Awakening's popularity
  • Waifu bullshit
  • Significant Codename STEAM functionality
She hits all the right marks.
Yeah, it's going to be insane trying to pre-order her alone. Trying to fine her after? Yikes. Her figma looks great but too expensive atm for me.

According to Pitu the Amiibo Hunter(what's crack-a-lacking????????), both Charizard and Ness have only 1 month of manufacturing so get them while they is are be hot.

Sounds like the best course of action that won't kill your wallet as quickly lol.

For charizard of all things?! WTF

Charizard is a good canidate for being rare , remember the OG pokemon booster packs? supposedly he was Manufactured the least out of the 3 starters. Nintendo is renacting history by making the Charizard amiibo rare.

I don't see these as in the same category for a variety of reasons, and besides, you missed my edit, all of Wave 4 was featured in the last NA Direct.

If this actually comes to pass...

Your right I wasn't implying it will happen with this wave but that it could be a possibility for the future.

I'l ask you this question with, NoA currently on a hot streak with face palm tier decisions do you think it's too far fetched that they would honestly not bring over certain characters in the future? It know it seems a bit extreme but i still think its a possibiloty.I personally believe they wouldprobably introduce those obsecure characters as card only rather than not bringing them over at all.

Honestly, no, I don't think it's a real possibility. I mean, could it happen? Sure. But as I said, if there were going to do this, they would've done it with other characters already. It's not as if the manufacturing of amiibos are as expensive as say, The New 3DS, or take up as much shelf space (or any, really, with the low amount of figures they make). I expect we'll keep seeing very low manufactoring numbers, but I see no real rationale behind thinking they'll do what you're saying.

Hm, is he known for being accurate. Not familiar

Who is this?

No clue, but his source is likely Nintendo's Certificates of Compliance. Clicking on one will tell you what months that Amiibo was manufactured - http://en-americas-support.nintendo...a_id/11021/~/cpsia-certificates-of-compliance

To give you an idea of how reliable this is...

Villager, Little Mac, Pit, Rosalina, Ike, Lucario, Sonic, Dedede, Meta Knight, Shulk - 1 month
Luigi, Diddy Kong, Captain Falcon, Sheik, Toon Link, Mega Man - 2 months
Fox - 3 months
Yoshi, Pikachu - 4 months

Ah, I see. Hm, well maybe Charizard will surprise then as being super rare (I'm still skeptical). What about the rest of Wave 4? Is there certificates floating around for them as well?

Are they just winding down production on everything? Don't tell me they're just trying to transition to all amiibo cards by wave 5 :[

I traded my Little Mac for a WFT on reddit so now I am 26/29. I am just missing Marth (Should get him when Codename Steam comes around), Meta Knight (I have a feeling he will pop up) and Villager (only God can help me with this one)

Are scalpers really buying them all? I can easily find them at any store I go to that sells them, and if you look on eBay you can get it for pretty much store cost plus shipping. I can't imagine someone who scalps Amiibos would even bother selling one online since the return is probably literally pennies after fees.
Likewise. I've seen Sheik at Target, GameStop, and Best Buy around me. I think people are jumping on this "blame the scalper for everything" train a little too hard at this point.

Yeah. They are still trying to control her stock since it's only recently that shes been around in numbers. Saw a guy buying all the available ones at a store I went to earlier this week.

Was the same situation with Toon Link till the stock surged big time. Then you had stories of scalpers just returning the ones they bought.

That comparison makes no sense though. Charizard was rare because of how trading card games work. You don't want to make a card that is not only very powerful but also of a very popular character anything other than rare, because you want people buying shit-tons of packs in order to get it. None of that applies here.

Exactly, the situations really don't equate to each other. It just doesn't make much sense here. All of the characters who were popular and well known have been relatively common. I guess you can say Lucario is an exception, but I really don't think he's in the same league as Charizard or Pikachu in the GP's awareness of Pokemon

But... But that was a trading card. The whole point is that there was only one rare per pack. This is a toy; tons of people are going to want them. Seriously, what's wrong with Nintendo here?!

I thought Anime was joking...I guess not?

That's based off of the CPSIA certificates on Nintendo.com, which really aren't a good measure for Wave 4 rarity just yet. All we know is what production runs have received CPSIA certification so far. The known runs for Charizard and Ness were both and January, and were only just certified on February 24th. It's entirely possible there was also a production run for either/both in February as well (and furthermore there could also be more runs this month as well), but it'll be weeks before certification, so obviously they're not listed there.

A better assessment is how long they lasted in amazon.com by regin.

In Europe, Lucina went out first, followed closely by Robin and Ness (In that order), then Pac-Man, then Charizard and finally Wario.

In Japan Ness, Lucina and Robin went out first, and Pac-Man, Charizard and Wario are still popping up every now and then.

With this we can get an idea how rare they will be.

So what will the reaction be if the Marth reprint for Codename Steam has a different packaging (like the Codename Steam logo instead of the Smash Bros logo)?

Same for ANZ.

Probably a lot of anger, but it it's part of, say, a Fire Emblem set, with more characters beyond the 4-7 in Smash (Counting Roy, Lyn, & Chrom), some people might get excited on top of angry.

I recently moved and just realized I have a shulk shipping to me from GS in may to my old address. I looked on the site, but couldnt figure out how to change the ship to address on that particular order.

Im guessing I just give them a call?

I don't think they'd realistically do that if they weren't planning to do a Codename Steam amiibo line. I don't see them going through the trouble of creating a new box and logo for a single amiibo that's a reprint.

Dad grabbed it from my dorm while packing for the move, he forgot where he packed it.
wow

I'm pretty sure he's not. If he is, it went over my head, too lol
They might be serious idk haha

Wouldn't care. If it looks good, I might actually buy it.

I feel you should also add that Lucina, Robin amd Ness were gone in about 30 mins on Amazon UK. Pac Man wasn't that long after if I'm remembering correctly but Charizard and Wario lasted a real long time. They were up for days.

Dunno how quick it was for Amazon JP, all I know is that I missed Ness and Lucina ;_;

Amazon.jp was less than an hour, I remember I bounced out of bed as soon as I heard the notification, and by the time I was done and enjoying my victory they were gone.

What are the odds of them coming back? It seems like this happened with the Super Mario line where they sold out of preorders almost instantly but came back and stayed up for a decent while, with the exception of Toad who went down pretty quickly

I'm currently searching the house for Shulk. I called my roommate & he confirmed that we took the Amiibo with us (he's unaware of Shulk's true worth).
