Well, I just saw a commercial for Amiibo and along with commons like Mario, Peach and Zelda. They had Mega Man, Toon Link, Sheik and Sonic.

Sounds like its safe to call those four commons now. Since if they are advertising them they'll want them well stocked in stores. Of course, not one of the rare ones were shown in the commercial.

I don't think it's that simple.

The four ones appearing in commercials here include Little Mac, and he's been impossible to find since its release day.

Another commercial show usage of Amiibo in Mario Kart and talk about Falcon, which is also really, really hard to find.


I've visited half a dozen shops today just in case (can't find a Shulk and a Dedede), and, without surprise, it's impossible to find:
- Kirby, villager, WFT and Marth from wave 1
- Pit, Little Mac, Falcon from wave 2
- Rosalina, Dedede, Meta Knight and Shulk from wave 3

The others are in stock, including Sheik, Ike and Lucario (Zelda is rare, though).
 
My AmiAmi order of the Super Mario series just arrived. I ordered them all. Peach is opened because I needed to see if she fit on my display.

Why did you import the most common Amiibos made so far?
 
Finally bit the bullet and spent some big bucks on imports of Rosalina, Meta Knight, and Lucario.

Now all I need is Dedede and Ike! Here's to hoping there's a restock in the next week or two, or I'll probably have to spend scalper prices again :/

I'm sorry, but since I'm in the US, I'd rather ship to those in the states, too.

Any Gaffer that can predict the EXACT date that ANY MAJOR RETAILER (i'm talking Amazon, TRU, BB, GS, Target, Walmart, Fry's) will post the FIRST pre-orders of Wave 4 amiibos in the USA will be entered into the raffle to receive my Toon Link!
(Not including Newegg or FYE, sorry..)

To sum it up: if you guess the exact day wave 4 preorders are finally going to be up for grabs in the U.S then you enter the raffle. You don't have to guess the retailer that will do it first, just the date, and that counts towards every retailer.

And if any other Gaffers decide to join in on this that would make this an amazing event.
I'm only shipping domestic but if some Gaffers that want to join in on the Amiiboway (yep, I've just found a name for this) you may ship wherever you like!
So, if you have a spare amiibo, common, uncommon, hell, rare if you're in the mood, than how about you join in?!

Just quote the Gaffer's Amiiboway post and add the prediction date.

My EB Games here in Ontario Canada let me know today that they have the SMB Wave 1 on route for delivery on Monday or Tuesday. So for those with preorders at EB and GameStop you should be able to confirm them early next week.
 
I really like the Mario line more than that I thought I would. Still only getting Toad at the moment, but we'll see when I see them in person next week. (actually, I have Gold Mario pre-ordered as well...)

Yeah there is still LINE. If somebody sees something they put a message in the room and then you get a notification on your phone. Hasn't let me down yet. There is also the LINE chatroom but that's just for fun.
 
So I got my fiancee a Villager and Sonic. As a surprise, she ordered Little Mac and Megaman for me, and now I just snagged this on Ebay.

You've all affected me, Amiibros.

Not a bad price, it would have cost roughly the same to import WFT from Japan when it first released. So not bad!

That price for a NA version would be a steal.

Well, they finally got an exclusive so they've got to take advantage of it and get some extra sells with it. Somewhat surprised they used Luigi but not as much since they're probably worried if they used gold Mario they'll just get a bunch of complaints when it's sold out.

That didn't stop Target from setting up Rosalina cardboard cutouts AFTER she was sold out at every Target store across the nation lol

Well this is a different company. As much as I prefer Target over Walmart, you got to hand it to them. They didn't just put the pre-orders up 4 times (3 times of which were in the middle of the night) and call it a day. They also didn't just put them up with no pre-order limits either and then lowering it to 15? I think that's what happened with Rosalina right? First time no limits. Second time was 15 and then the rest was 2? So yeah...
