It's because unlike a lot of the other flash in the pop artists around in the last few years the music does the talking for her.
Looking at her run she's had is actually breathtaking. Even going back to her Stock,Aitken,Waterman days those songs still sound so good. Kind of weird to know that 'I should be lucky' came out on 29 December 1987.

I've seen her live two times because of a friend of mine who is a big Kylie-fan. I like her music, but the one track that really stands out to me is the 'Come Into My World'-remix by Fisherspooner.

Still love Kylie, but I think her best work was in her "indie" period, with her "Kylie Minogue" and "Impossible Princess" albums. After that she went back to pure pop, but I still miss Indie Kylie.

The way she moves in that "Can't get you out of my head" video is pure sex. I'm not really a fan of her genre of music but I respect her because she is a good actress (liked her in Holy Motors and Doctor Who) and she won a battle against cancer. Plus she just seems like a nice down-to-earth lady compared to most divas.

I saw it as a kid but didn't even realize it was her until now that a few people have brought it up in this thread. I for one am disappointed that she's not touring in America for her Kiss Me Once tour. Did her last visit flop back in 2011? Did she allow herself to be pigeonholed as a gay act play into her inability to crack the American market? She was hot and talented back in the 2000's, and I always found her to be more talented than Britney Spears ever was during her peak period. Was she record sales poison, because she always seemed a step up in the Euro market.
