So I went into Best Buy today and uhh...

They also had Yoshi. Didn't try to buy any.

I compared Peach side by side though, and holy cow the size difference is huge. Mario Peach looks a lot better too.

I wasn't being serious, just hopeful thinking. They haven't said JACK about another store, sadly. I'm sorry, I was just messing around! I didn't mean to misinform.
 
After all those bad Mario Party reviews I just cancelled my Amazon preorder w/the Mario amiibo. I decided I'd rather track down Mario on his own rather than spend $50 on him and a bad game.
 
Mario is definitely not worth getting the bundle for unless you need him immediately. He'll be shelf warming next to Smash Mario soon enough.

I'm glad I didn't bother preordering that trash. I've never enjoyed the Mario Party games.

Mario Party has never scored particularly well.
 
Just got my email for Toad, looks like I'll be getting it on the 26th-27th. Hmm. Not a big deal though.

So, uh...everyone getting Mario Part amiibos; are you buying them to one day use them in MP10, or do you like the style of the figure, or are you buying them for fear they'll disappear sometime and you'll never get a chance to get them.

Would be nice if these guys "replace" the Smash versions of the characters and they start to phase those ones out. Cue people rushing to the store to buy extras of Smash Mario and such.

Mario Party usually gets mediocre reviews right? I am still getting it but it sounds like they could have done better

I would have gotten them anyway but I am looking forward to using them in the game

I love the Toad character. Plus I think it'll be uncommon.

For gold mario? AFAIK they never said there would be plenty.

All Nintendo said was this and Walmart has the item described as limited on their website.

Remember preorders are just a part of the Mario #amiibo Gold Edition story. Pick one up at a Walmart store on 3/20.

I have one more pre order from the first day gold Mario was available.
The ETA is March 30th though. That seems like far off compared to when everyone else will be getting theirs

Oh, Horizon won't be that bad. He'll definitely help his amiibros but... if you want, imagine there's a bubble that says "Wait! What is this white stuff?!?! and then another that says "Um... nothing! Just ignore it!"
Then it should be accurate enough.

Is it bad if I read that at first as virtual laugh party? I pictured Nintendo doing a stream where they're showing us the new amiibos and laughing at how much money they're making and how we still can't pre-order...

Unfortunately not. I think most were delayed until then. The two orders of mine both were.
 
Was considering picking up the Kongs because of how much I love Tropical Freeze, but saw their faces in person. Those eyes did not make for good figures.

Nice, thanks. Def going to NWS and lining up at like 2AM (got stuff to take care of in uptown till 2-3AM Thursday).

Regardless, MK is the main objective. I hope I get him, though I'd love GM as well, I had given up due to all these reports of stores only getting 8 (NYC has no Walmarts, so LI is competing with probably the largest concentration of humans in the US)
 
Can't wait to get Toad and rip that bad boy open. I just finished Captain Toad the other day and the game was awe-some!!!
