Ebay has the game going at $150. Seems to be sold out everywhere with people having issues getting their preorders to even arrive. It's not too late for me to uncancel since it was already shipped to arrive tomorrow.
But I cant afford it at $105.00.... I could maybe sell the regular for like $65, which would net me $10 since I paid $50 for it, and I would save a Canadian buyer about $20, since new games are $80 total here.
But then I'd have to cough up another $40.
It's just an artbook and steelcase... I can deal with regular...right?
How do you join other peoples worlds though?

So where is the second lamp? One thing about these games is if you miss the bonfire/lamp it pretty much sucks. After the lamp at the beginning at the top of the ladder I made my way all the way to some bridge with a ton of dog things that killed me. That was like 3000 souls/whatevertheyarecalled from the first lamp and I didn't see another.
Crazy talk, you're fine. I think it's just a messenger skin (a ribbon for the hologram people that show on the messages you can write). Regardless don't worry about your save, you did nothing wrong. These games usually have tons of items and the Wiki isnt complete day 1! You probably just got a rare drop.

Locked 30, not even close. I'd say outta 10 minutes it drops a few framers every 4 mins or so of you are making progress. They aren't severe drops but you can feel them happening for sure.
I believe you can buy co-op items from the 2nd messenger pool at the dream refuge after you have collected at least 10 insight.

Does anyone have pictures of the plastic insert and the spine of the steelbook? Also, do you need a ps4 to redeem and download the soundtrack? Can you download the songs to a pc?
I don't have a ps4 yet but would like to buy the game anyway. I'm thinking of getting a CD printed with artwork and burning the OST to it. I'll change the plastic insert of the steelbook to one that holds 2 discs as well.
Of course this depends on whether I can burn the soundtrack download and what kind of case they used for the steelbook

Yeah, the framerate is assuredly not a solid 30. It's fine though.
It chugged a LOT more when the game was still installing but still let me play, though.

Happened to me with the first boss due to being utterly annoyed with the camera, as well as getting hit by attacks that were not even touching me, but the second boss was killed first real try. On my first actual attempt I ended up rolling and getting stuck inside some geometry and there was no way out.
Also, for those that love the longsword or BSS moveset from Dark Souls...

Digital Foundry showed that the game stays at 30fps the majority of the time. The problem though is the way frame pacing is handled, and it makes the game feel like it's way below 30 the majority of the time, even if it's technically not.

You need the small resonant bell. Very minor spoilers:
I hear you have to have 10 insight to get the bell, but i'm not sure if that's true. I did have 10 when I got it. It's in the Hunter's Refuge. There's one of those bath messenger shops(not the main one) It's located kind of in front of the house where you upgrade your weapons. It's kind of easy to miss, at least it was for me. It does cost 1 insight to buy.
That's all I know at the moment.

Was able to beat the first boss on my first attempt, only needed to use 16 vials to heal myself as I took it down. No big deal.

You're not looking for a lamp right now, but some shortcuts. It's like 30 seconds (including fighting enemies) to the first boss from the Central Yharnam lamp with the right shortcut unlocked.

Love the game. Except for the loading screens.. They are stupidly awful. Really hope the next patch fixes this. You'd think PS4 would handle this much better. :/

From what I understand, you must have 10 insight to access the messenger pool that has those online interactive items. However if you drop below 10 insight, you lose access to it, until you get above that threshold again. It's also where you can get unique armors from bosses.

Vitality and Endurance for sure. You can go with either Strength or Skill, depending on which weapons you like to use.
Bloodtinge if you shoot a lot, Arcane if you throw Molotovs often. But these two should be secondary; go for Vit/End/Str or Skill first.

I was always a Long Sword guy ever since Demons Souls. I'm leaning towards Kirkhammer, but I cant see ever using the hammer transformation. I'm not a fan of the "big/heavy" weapons in the souls games.
Also, it doesnt matter which class you pick, you get to choose your weapons from the start right?
As a sawblader (chose violent past) shd I keep focusing on strength?
