A question about the very beginning:

I encountered the first enemy without any weapons. I think I did an admirable job trying to evade his attacks, and hitting back with ineffective punches for 1-2hp, but I was ultimately killed. Is it possible to win this encounter? How? Or are you meant to die?

So how has co op been GAF. Also do we all need to be friends if we use the GAF code for online, or can u just jump in any game with the code? If so add me guys blunoise1 NA eastcoast. I'm new to "souls" type games

Looks really nice though, tons more details visible

Too little time to play it normal, will watch ENB on youtube so I can play without taking time off work
 
Ok, noob question.

Sometimes by accident when trying to change my equipment, I sometimes hit up on the dpad, and I crush something and there is a red +5 next to my ammo count.

What am I doing? Because I do not know.

If you enter the bridge from the building that's part of the shortcut to the first "lantern", you can lure them back to where you enter the bridge. The archway is too small for them to pass so you can stay behind it and hit them with charged attacks.
 
Man, I cannot get past the second boss. Every time I attempt it, I do really well until
he transforms.
Then I just get destroyed.
 
OMFG. I just got the SHIT scared out of me in the first chalice dungeon holy crap. Was NOT expecting that to happen lmao, Miyazaki you crazy bastard. I haven't jumped like that in a while, this game is too good man.

All you need to do is get to the fountain square where the brick fatty keeps banging the door after the mob. Turn left and take the shortcut next to the house with the laughter. You'll have to face some dogs but all you need to do is look for a house with a closed door, go through said door and the one afterwards and you're already at the shortcut to the lantern. Then you can just run up the stairs on the house and down the bridge to the boss so you can unlock leveling.

Run the other way past the werewolves and
past the big guy and you'll be at the first boss and will then unlock leveling upon death or beating the boss.

Barely played DS1, like maybe an hour or two.

I AM REALLY FEELING BLOODBORNE.

I just need to git gud. Those wolves keep ruining me. But I am having fun. Also need to stop being so clingy to blood echos. I have more than 7000, and I still haven't fought cleric beast yet
 
So am I supposed to not level up if I lose? I am stuck in a constant loop of:

Gather Blood Echoes
Die
Can't recover them
Die again and they are gone forever

Not sure if this is my thing
 
quick question before heading off to work and sob I cant play this:

so the chalice dungeon(s) are NOT just after you finish the game?

It is possible to beat it with no weapons but it's probably easier and smarter to die.

You are sacrificing some health for 5 extra bullets.
