I really wish you could just port lantern to lantern..Fighting the 3rd boss and finally got the timing right for the counter but ran out of bullets and died..30sec loading screen, nothing in the area drops bullets, 30sec loading screen to the hub, then 30sec loading screen to the area I can farm bullets in.

Standard damage. I think I was..level 14-15? Because I ended up wandering all the way to Father G's area unknowingly, and had to find out where the Cleric was.

I think I will try to upload Cane Kills of all the bosses. Next up is the 3rd one...

That's actually a pretty respectable weapon then. I'm guessing the complaints were mostly from people not liking how much health the Cleric Beast had in general. That cane wrecks it. I noticed you actually damaged his head once or twice with the whip animation, and I'm guessing that means you can riposte him without using a gun, which is nice.
Unfortunately won't watch your other videos because I refuse to spoil anything about the game beyond the Cleric Beast. Still have no idea what Father Gascoigne even looks like.

Ooh! Thanks for this, I was having a blast there even though i'm way too early in the game to be there in the first place haha. Will be trying to:
Draw the attention of those giant Boars with Cocktails of Mature blood, that way I'll make a run for the items they are usually guarding. hehe

hahaha I wound up doing the exact same thing, only place I've had to use the pungent blood cocktail to attract enemies. That place is hell, I just gave up on it for now... good luck!

In the first zone, where the first two bosses are (forgot the name), there are two gates you can't open by hand.

I opened one by coming up on the other side of it and pulling a lever, it's near a huge enemy that protects a pointless dead end. The one I can't open is the one right outside the library building you start the game in. Any tips?

How do you use
Bone Marrow Ash
? It seems like it's supposed to just be a consumable buff, but everytime I try to use it, it's greyed out and I've been carrying around the maximum capacity for very long time now.

edit: Lol, whatever. I guess I kept trying to use it without
my gun drawn...

Don't worry about it.
You won't be opening it for quite some time
.

It's ok I raged quit tonight anyways dying on my way to the 3rd. So it'll be a while. I'm also mostly out of bullets so I've been running on steam for Father G and everything after. I'm very cheap with my blood.

When you say 3rd boss you mean
Blood-Starved Beast
?

I didn't use any bullets at all, just constantly dodging sideways when it was going to attack, then hit it. Rinse and repeat...

The fact that many people unknowingly wander into Father G's area show how interconnected the areas of Yharnam is. Amazing, can't wait for my copy to arrived here.

Guys should I be focusing on only leveling one weapon?

I've already fortified the cleaver, hunters axe, and kirkhammer and also put bloodgems into the axe and hammer as well.

Looks like most of you are just sticking to one weapon and upgrading it, but i like variety :p

That would explain why you couldn't join me yesterday. You were about level 30? I'm only still level 17 or so now...

I hope this isn't true :( Unless it's possible to start multiple characters?

Was reading about this yesterday, I only saw her once to get the shake off cape gesuture, hope I didn't miss her cause she seems to give you some nice things later on.

Yes you can have different characters , about summoning we can try it tonight 7 pm est suits you , i will try to summon you in an uncompleted zone , spoiler free, and then you can disconnect, i have about 30 insight , my hunter is lvl50. In regards to the crow girl i met here somewhere else and i already helped her in the first fight where you fight the 2nd boss.

Yep pick a weapon or two you like and level it.

Bloodgems are reusable so plug away. As for me, I've +3 most of my weapons, but +5 my Hunter's axe, because that's is how a huntsman kill wolves.

So my internet crapped out just as i killed
The hunter in Old Yharnam, not the one with the gatling gun
. It kicked me from the game but when i went back i found 6
Bone Marrow Ash
and the
Spear rifle
was unlocked from the merchant.

Did i get all the items? I'd hate to have lost something.

If I were to have a say, don't abstain from the cane! But It's really up to you. Having a huge arsenal of weapons to rotate around seems fun. Although personally I'm sticking with one so far...trying to find another Skill-oriented weapon.

Yeah but it went nuts with 25% to go and stopped doing it's charge attack and just flailed over and over and over and over.

Alright what the fuck just happened to me in (post 2nd boss fight)
In the cemetery next to the church, the one with the two masked guys. I saw a vortex when I was screwing around the edges of the cemetery near the tree and the stairway up the the ogre and was lifted into the air by an unseen creature, then got "frenzied" and was suddenly at the staircase going down with about a quarter of my health left. What kind of creature did this?

The Spear Saw.But i think Threaded` Crane rules them ALL!!!

Blood gems are very common where i am at , have about 40 of them, then you get twin blood gems which are rearer , but the ones i am looking for are blood gem chunks which are hard to come by at the stage where i am at.
Edit: think i am gonna main 2 weapons as the slots allow for quick change depending on the scenario.

crow NPC spoiler
welp, she's dead, saw her die shortly after I did to the ridiculous NPC hunter she fights where you defeat Gascoigne, at least I went back for her badge meaning her set is buyable at the vendor

Question about Hunter's Dream...

I already talked to Gehrman (old man in chair) once but upon returning, he seems to be gone. Is that right or should he still be there?

Also for those who are far into the game, is there a good variety of skill weapons? I wanted to be a mainly skill build but i'm still using the starting axe. It's got me unsure as to where to put my stats.

game is hard. died at least 15 times from very first enemy. LOL but it never felt cheap. only problem the game has is the loading time. a game where you die lot ,should not have that long loading times.

I don't know if it's because I played Demon's Souls, Dark Souls I and II to death (and got all 3 platinums), but right now I feel that the bosses have been too easy o_o
I killed first boss on second try and second boss on first try without much effort. Hope the next ones will be more challenging
3rd boss starts off as the easiest, but then becomes a bit tricky after its HP is down to almost 50%.

I thought I was gonna beat it on my first attempt, but then shit hit the fan lol. Maybe next time when I get back on my PS4.

7PM should work just fine, I have only 10 insight but I don't mind trying to use 1. Damn I guess I went to far for the crow chick, I beat the second boss and she wasn't there :( This bothers me, since she seems to give you a badge... Never even saw her in any encounter at all.

Thanks for the replies guys. Well I guess hunters axe it is then... and kirkhammer cause it's awesome too. I need both, cane seems sweet, but I've already gone to far to start a new weapon fresh. Maybe later if I have time to spend on leveling.

Who is the first boss in the game? Before I had to go to work yesterday my first boss encounter was Father G. He stomped me out but I had to leave for work. Is the Cleric Beast supposed to be the first one? I'm kind of confused.

You're smart to call it a creature. I thought it was just a weird vortex. If you really want to know what it is, highlight the next spoiler:
It's one of those giant freaky spider creatures with hands from the previews. You'll be able to see them when you obtain an item later.

Is it closer to demons souls or dark souls?

Is this the kind of game you need a wiki open or else you'll miss a bunch of obscure things?

One of two things:

Either have a Wiki open

or

Be prepared to spend a lot of time clearing out and scouring areas multiple times

Depends on how you want to find your obscure things. So far it doesn't seem to be as jam-packed as DaS1 was, but I'm still in the first area so who knows.

I know right? That dude was a pain, especially how much damage he is dealing.

Totally only way I "beat" him was by him falling off the ladder I came up on lol

What's the deal with the thing he drops? Are they Bloodbornes version of boss souls? I have a few and have no idea what to do with them.

I think there is no order. Most ppl are going to fight the cleric beast first because it's easier to find.

I saw a phantom with a Katana that should be skill based I think. I also got a gauntlet type weapon that scales with Skill.
Mind you I've only killed 3 boses.
