So, we're calling that 5K huh? I wish we could have stuck to some kind of standard...

2K = 1920x1080
4K = 3840x2160

So... 1K must be 960. Therefor 5K is..... 4800x2700. Nope, 5120x2880. Fuck consistency!

8K will still be 7680x4320 when that day comes....

Yeah well I had no idea when EVGA would have them in so I decided to take the plunge. The transferable warranty IS pretty slick though. I gave my old 580 to a friend of mine a while after I bought it.... but he still had some of the warranty left over. After a while he started experiencing some problems with it, and they actually sent him a 760 to replace it.

I'll sell my EVGA 980 though. Good bit of warranty left on that still.

Seems about right. I have read every titan x review i could find and 200 is what most of them hit on core. Some lucky ones 250 to 300 and some unlucky ones 100 to 150. Memory seemed more variable

Yup. I can do +250 and hit close to 1480 depending on what is going on during benchmarking, but it does become unstable. At +200 and +400 on memory it has been rocked solid in bench and gaming. I actually have not tried pushing farther on memory as of yet.

I should have my water blocks installed sometime tomorrow, which will allow me to test much further both bench and gaming. I figure using precision, I can max out voltage and see what I can push the core too since cooling will be a non-issue.
 
Installed new PSU. Tested with one titan x. Worked ok. Then installed another one. Still worked ok. Gonna let it cool off for 4 hours before trying again. Hoping for the best!
 
Picked up my Titan X right as the computer store was about to close. They only had two sent in, and I manged to grab the last one.

Can't decide what game I want to try out first.
 
After a whole bunch of testing, benching, and gaming, my EVGA card seems to be perfectly stable at +220 core and +400 memory on stock BIOS and voltage. Not bad at all.

I love this card. I can finally play Dragon Age Inquisition smoothly at 2560x1440 maxed out with MSAA!

Highest VRAM usage so far was 5,100MB in Dying Light. Gonna try AC: Unity now to see if I can beat that. :D
 
Tested 2xSLI after 3.5 hour cool off. No issues so far. Will run final test in the morning. Starting to feel better. But will feel confident again only after an overnight cool down. Looks like my PSU was defective after all. I just didn't know it until a real GPU pushed it to its severely compromised limits.
 
Has someone here tried out Arena Commander with their Titan or Titan X SLI set up yet? I am curious and would like to know what the performance was like!

But isn't that the brilliant part about the chassi? No need to be paranoid about the "bunch of cables" obstructing airflow, because they are in a separate chamber with less sensitive components. In your situation I would be lazy and leave the cables as they are :)

You're right, I just tried ACU last night with all sliders to the right and I got it to drop to 54fps. Hopefully I can get those 6fps with and overclock :'-(

I'm thinking of selling both of my Nvidia Titan X and order x2 EVGA Titan X.

Prolly sell them for $900 each. It's weird not having the transferable warranty.

Weird, I just got a confirmation from the online retailer that my EVGA SC Titan X is being packed to be shipped to me (usually means that they would send it today or tomorrow), but the card does not appear to be available according to their website. It is not available from any other local online retailer either. I am holding my thumbs that this is real.

Just a factory overclock with the same cooler as the reference cards, I believe. So if you overclock the ordinary EVGA Titan X yourself, it would be the same thing. With the factory OC you get full warranty despite overclocking, I guess.
 
YESSSSSSSSSS!!!!! It works! For the first time in a week, I've been able to start my PC in the morning without screaming in frustration. Man! I can finally get back to doing what I built it for in the first place! Games!

Thanks for all the support and kind words! So happy right now! I can't imagine what I'd have done if I needed to rewire the apartment. I might have quit PC gaming all over again. Phew! :D

Just got a confirmation that my ASUS will be shipped tomorrow. I'll believe it when I see it! If it's true: awesome!

Hey sk3tch, I am Stateless over at overclock.net and if you have not read, I have NEVER done a bios flash and I am pretty scared shitless about doing it. But, my cards are constantly hitting the 110% power limit, even going to 113% which is causing some throttling.

When I do a flash for cards in SLI, do I disable SLI and remove the sli bridge or does that matter?

I may PM you some more questions as this is something I never done before. Oh, how do I save the original bios from my cards in-case I need to revert back to them?

Hey man - sorry - I am not the guy to assist, lol. Would love to help you - but I'm on biz travel and intend to start (possibly) flashing this weekend. I made some attempts using old TITAN directions and had freezes - so that freaked me out. Going to give it another try this weekend. Definitely NOT a pro in terms of flashing. :)

I see that you're seeking advice on OCN - good call. Take it slow, be careful, and good luck. :)

Agree. Just call Nvidia and say you want to return them. I had to RMA one and I just wanted to get another one and they said they are just going to refund and I can order another one because it was within 30 days. It basically is a no hassle 30 day refund policy, so save yourself $200 instead of selling them at $900 a piece. All you have to do is pay the shipping to send them back.

I'm curious. Why did you have to RMA it?
 
Still waiting on Nvidia to ship my card. Ordered yestereday (got my order confirmation) with next-day delivery. Turns out that was a waste....
