Still having a ton of trouble with the blood starved beast.
Any tips?

Equip armour with high poison resistence (you can find some in the house that's at the bottom of that ledge you jump onto to next to the crows in old yarnham). Stay close to the beast and dodge forward under his main attacking arm whenever he attacks. This gets you behind him for a few hits with short form of weapon. I used the short form of the kirkhammer+3 with 17 endurance. Rinse and repeat. It's possible to avoid getting hit at all this way but if you do get hit in the beast phase and poisoned the armour helps buy you more time to back off and use antidotes and heal. Make sure you back off very far before using them.

Spend those Echoes people and keep those Hunters Mark Papers handy for warping back home without losing the echoes.

There is no reason to BUILD UP echoes unless you are already farming in safe area to achieve a goal of buying something important

Otherwise USE THEM at every oppurtunity

Yeah I have been it's my first big loss I just didn't know that death keeper dude knew kongfu that kick fucked me up... Also I learned the village area is a late game area.... But I've been good at guessing when it's a boss fight so right before I would level once or buy some items with my remaining echos and only go on boss runs with 500 echoes or less the dog boss wasn't even hard with the numbing mists.... I'm not having much problem with the game difficultly wise.. All that time playing.. Ds2 has paid off.. Unless it gets and insane difficulty boast. I still thing ds1 was harder...

Hello guys, I finally got it the Nightmare Edition.

- The box itself got such a horrifying texture. Fits perfectly the theme of the game.
- Each item got its own compartment on the steel book chest.
- The bell works properly, I was able to invade my cats world and give him a few jump scares in the end the cat got the best of me. He was a master using its insight and I lost.
- The little boxes ( the ones containing the bell and the pen) are labeled Bloodborne.
- Fun notice also, the plastic that comes wrapping the pen box contains some interesting notes.
- Haven't open the book and the little guide but will make sure to do it during the weekend (I will focus on playing atm).

Potato version, will take proper pictures during the weekend:

Soooo jealous. That ink set is to die for

I've slept a total of 2 hours and 45 minutes in the past 52h. I have two more days to go without 'much' sleep till I'm satisfied.

I'm fine :p it's kinda interesting to see how the body reacts! The current issues with my body right now:

- irritating coughs every 10-15 minutes. Stops after approx. 5-6 consecutive coughs

- the white socks on the eyes are filled with red veins

- the bottom of my head (under the hair) is scratchy

- my arms, legs and stomach is considerably more sensitive. Touches that would normally be pleasent to the skin is now uncomfortable

- nose is dripping

I'm expecting the above symptoms to multiply within the next two days. I'm also expecting headaches and slight nausea. My eyes should get better in the next 12-24h though.

|OT2| Yoshichan, go to sleep

Do the dashes have any invincibility frames or are they just for making space? Literally every dodge I've done on the first boss hasn't worked if I try to go through a hit.

It's The Zweihander and Astoria's Great sword combined the thrust charge move is pretty clutch has a good range keeps bad guys at a distance.

I don't need it

I've progressed to
old yharnam
and the atmosphere and level design in this game is off the charts good. Haven't played a game in years where the mood and tone of the world is as good as Bloodborne. And I haven't even reached a few of the places people say is even better.

thanks! what do i do with her? there is no option to talk ;(

This is a major spoiler that I'm not even sure about so highlight at your own risk:
Kill her for one of the three "One Third of Umbilical Cord" drops. There may be conditions to this so don't know if you have to wait to a certain time, or complete some other event to get her to drop it. "One Third of Umbilical Cord"s are a very important item to unlock something else in the game.

Anybody? The guy does a hell of a lot more damage than I do. Can kill me in 3-4 hits. Riposting him doesn't do that much damage and that's with a Kirkhammer +4 with 20 points in Strength.

Also, will have to summon from Old Yharnam since it wont let me summon in Cathredal Ward or Central Yharnam.

There should be another hunter you can talk to outside of the chapel place where the people gather. They'll jump in and make the fight a cakewalk when you try it.

Trying to get some sort of direction here, am I going the right way if I'm *after 2nd boss spoils*
in Old Yharnam trying to fight the gattling guy right after beating Father G? The only way I didn't really explore is the one with the huge giant walking past the cathedral. Also, what am I supposed to do with the gattling guy? Just make a run for it? Cuz the hunter there keeps whooping my butt while getting shot at. I tried making a run for it once and ended up killing a bunch of those poison monsters inside some kind of church and picked up a blood ritual item, then I climbed the ladder to fight the gattling guy and died. (

That fucking hunter in the grand cathedral is pissing me off!! That gun of his is crazy powerful and he's got a huge pool of health, plus that asshole heals himself!!. It's not like my character doesn't hit hard, at level 47, my cane is at 235 of damage.

So how does suspend/resume work here?

I resumed back to my online connected Bloodborne game, but wont this clog up servers? Does it kick me offline after a certain period?

Not gonna lie. I think I like my Axe more then the greatsword. In looks and moveset. It just doesn't get as stonk as the greatsword though so I'm had to switch.

I'm at the 4th boss... Which I don't think is the "normal" 4th boss,
it's the giant electric skeleton dog thing
, and it's kicking my ass, any tips?

If you're talking about Darkbeast treat it like Sif from Dark Souls at first. Dodge through attacks underneath him/behind him and get hits on his limbs. The key is when he gets de-electrified. He will run away and re-electrify and is completely vulnerable for you to smash his limbs again, rinse and repeat this for a "stunlock".

For what it's worth he was the 7th boss I killed so you may be underleveled.

In that state I don't think you can. The only thing up there is
Cainhurst summons and killing her for an important item
. Earlier in the game you
can talk to her after going to hunter's dream once. She will give you her blood vile. Exhaust her dialogue by leaving and coming back. After fighting the second boss, she will be acting completely different and tell you to bring survivors to her clinic or you can send them to the Chapel.

good god thanks! i will kill her because i probably already failed her quest line.

lol, yeah I like this.

Hey, I think you asked where I got the katana last night.

Sorry I didn't get a chance to answer, but it's pretty lengthy process and some mid-game spoilers.

So here goes:

You need to get to Cainhurst Castle which is an optional area that you need an invitation. Similar to the Painted World from DS1 in entrance, Once there, go through the area. Beat the boss.

He drops a helmet as a reward.

Equip the helmet immediately in his arena and it clears an illusion that shows you a new area.

In this small area you'll meet a Queen of a covenant. Join her covenant to get the badge. You'll be able to buy the Cainhurst armor set and the katana from the vendor in Hunter's Dream now.

If you want any further details, let me know.

I don't need it

I don't need it

I don't need it

I don't need it

Oh you need it and you need to fully upgrade it and and you need to do that by wasting endless hours just grinding out blood echoes to do it, just do it man it's so cool... SO COOL, So Coool, so Coool... cooooool.

Haha, the werewolves on the bridge in Central Yarnham get stuck in the doorway to the house with the wheelchair fellow. Just lure them to the doorway. They're so free.

I think I fucked up. So in the
Cathedral Ward, I closed the gate blocking off the giant only to get rekt by the other giant with the ball and chain. Going back to the spot is impossible now that I have closed the gate and the switch is on the other side. Is the only thing I can do right now is farm for the 10k echoes and buy the main gate key?

Professional starting class best for a skill build?
Military veteran best for a quality build? I have that right? Also.. Which is the better build?
