Hey Bloodborne GAF, I was wondering if you guys can help me out. I really wanna try Bloodborne, but I'm a serious arachnophobe and I'm wondering if there are a lot of spider enemies in the game? I know there's that
giant one that was on the building in promos and the Rom boss
and I'm cool with that, but if it's more than that I might have to skip. Thanks!! :)

I have a 'mangy dog' fear, so this game is very difficult for me to progress through. :D

I'm assuming you are building more Insight by being summoned/helping?
Getting to 10 is becoming a problem for me at this stage of the game.

How in the world did you get 15 by the end of the second boss? :/
I wasted one because I didn't realize you'd lose it if you went back to the Dream (an hour went by with no co-op partner and I figured it was broken, since things like Specters weren't appearing), but I'm only at 9 Insight after boss 2 and I've found a few of those Madmen Skulls.

I've only gained 1 by helping a friend beat Father G, that's all the co-op I have done so far.

The rest I found myself (so 14). And sorry I mean I have only beaten 2 bosses, I didn't find that much before the 2nd boss. I am a little ways past boss #2 and you find quite a bit of madmans knowledge (I would guess at least 5-6) between that and the next area.

If you hate crows stay the fuck away. If you don't hate crows, you will.

OK what should I do next? Killed
Vicar Amelia
but haven't been in Old Yharnam yet. Should I avoid the notorious gunner until I can get him to ignore me?

I'm at 30 insight right now. It becomes super common once you unlock Chalice dungeons as you're finding a new area every 10-15 minutes at that point.

Should I just start selling my crappy gemstones that give me a fraction of a percentage boost (can i even sell em)?

You can sell them. I've been selling the ones that give only 0.7% boost, since I have a ton of them but have better ones. They only give you 20 echoes, though. Better than nothing.

Is bloodtinge and arcane even worth leveling up? I have no idea what they even do. Are there some cool weapons that require these to be high? or will i be alright sticking with skill and strength?

30+ hours for first time seems like the average. Seen people do it in a bit over 20 hours and some with over 40 hours. Lots of variability in terms of how long it will take someone to beat the game.

im at 12hrs and i just got to
Old Yar
. i dont know its thats super early in the game. i like to check every nook and cranny

Yes. There are some artifacts that need high enough level of arcane to use i.e. the Teleport Dash.

I would leave them as dump stats for (stats you only level when you've reached the soft/hard cap in other stuff). Though Arcane is pretty good for using
Ludwig's Holy Sword
. I have a pretty strong feeling people will start to figure builds out that take advantage of the stats at a later time, though.

his beast mode was easy for me with molotovs, 4-5 good hits should do it. Just try to keep your distance as much as possible to avoid his combos and wait for his brief pause after a heavy attack to pelt him with them

Yeah this seems like the first very real hump for almost everybody. Quoted for great advice. Remember you can parry/interrupt from a distance in this game (and run up for the riposte). Guns where have you been all my life!

Alright, I'm extremely confused now. An enemy
killed me and took me to the unseen village. Should I proceed there, or return to the Cathedral? Or does it not matter?

This game keeps you on your toes like few others.

People who have serious phobias of spiders, crowd, dogs and snakes should probably be advised before playing this game.

I am not scared of either of these but the use of snakes in one particular area was definitely very creepy.

I turned a corner, saw this massive thing come my way and immediatly turned around and said "NOPE" I just wasn't mentally prepared. lol

Later in the game, they become very important, Arcane especially. Saying anything more would spoil some of it so read on by your own volition

Arcane is used to equip items that can cast Bloodborns version of spells. These require a fairly high Arcane stat, but they show up later in the game. Blood Tinge is used to increase effectiveness of Firearms, they can end up doing a decent amount of damage if leveled.

How do I put myself up for summoning? Do I consume any item or just need an unlimited use item? I want to help people at the beginning =3
(Even though I'm a beginner myself; just got to Father G)

I'm stuck at the very start of the game.
I've killed three men and a werewolf, and now I only have locked gates. Am I missing something?
I'd love to die more but I can't find more game.

Run around grabbing items (armor set, etc.) while avoiding enemies. Then get the fuck out of Azkaban.

One thing I'm really disliking is the fact that have to farm potions (and even bullets sometimes), especially with the loading times. I know it's a different game, but I prefer the Estus Flasks a looooooot.

what am I supposed to do when I join the vileblood covenant?
Invade people? What do I get for giving the blood items to the queen?
I'd like to know this before moving on with Alfred's quest.

also the npc from the forest just disappeared, I sent him to the clinic and
when I got there I killed Iosefka, shouldn't he still be alive though? Since I killed her.

Lol, did you kill them all with your bare hands?

You are supposed to die there, friend!

Holy crap! OT 2 already!? Praise the Moon!

When can I expect to find some more weapons that scale well with Skill? I've found two weapons in the world that scale well with strength and am able to buy the Kirkhammer and Greatsword in the Hunter's Dream, but I'm stuck using the damn cane still. Don't get me wrong, it's a great weapon and I've been cleaning up with it but I wouldn't mind a change of pace. I've cleared the Cathedral Ward. Should I be coming up on a new Skill weapon any time soon?
