So do some lanterns not let you teleport to them? I lit one in H
emwick
C
harnel Lane
but cant awaken there?

I'd suggest hoofing it to that lamp from a nearby one to see of a side quest is happening there. Last time this happened to me was when I couldn't warp to Tomb of Oedon and it was because two hunters were dueling there.

So what's the average playtime shaping up to be? Asked in the last thread but got washed away in the comment deluge.
30+ hours for first time seems like the average. Seen people do it in a bit over 20 hours and some with over 40 hours. Lots of variability in terms of how long it will take someone to beat the game.

Absolutely loving the game, but I can't wait till they fix the loading and some of the frame issues. I don't mind 30fps or 60fps, but I want a stable frame rate.

Ah well, onto beating more bosses!

I feel like I'm dying way to easily. I really don't think I should be getting fucking 2 shot by damn near everything other than the weakest mobs.

I might scrap my progress and start over.

I've yet to run into a covenant in this game, I'm guessing there are none. I'm loving the game, but the multiplayer aspect so far can't touch Dark Souls.

Man, this game is really hard. I cannot pass through those ambush standing around the fire. Although, passed twice but got killed by an other ambush.

Ok, the hunter where
Father G
was is pretty darn tough. It's like th Gatling gun guy all over again. Is he worth killing?

When you see the house on fire, don't go to the next boss unless you want to finish the game.

You actually don't even have to fight him, if you select "accept" when talking to him the game just ends.I didn't know that was a boss fight till i looked it up on the wiki afterwards

can someone confirm if you need PS+ in order to see notes on the floor and other player deaths? i went to play online and it said i needed PS+, and because i didnt want it it forced me to play it offline?

One final question, for the end of the game;
Is there a point of no return, or like Demon's and Dark Souls it's made very clear moving forward at a certain point is the final confrontation? I want to try and at least see and fight everything in my first playthrough, and I'm rather stumped at missing shortcuts. I've apparently skipped at least two boss fights, missed an NPC, and a key item for said boss fight. I hope the time of day doesn't play a role into that, because I may be screwed. ):

There will be a really obvious change when you teleport to the Hunter's Dream after a certain boss fight. That's when you can choose to go talk to the the last boss or not, and finishing that encounter will immediately take you to NG+. As for things that you've skipped, I'm not entirely sure on that just yet. There were some optional areas that I missed out on, as well, but I was still able to access one of them at the end of the game. I'm eventually going to check out the other areas and see if I can still do optional bosses, but my assumption is that you can. As far as I can tell, outside of the visual changes, Old Yarnwhatever is the only place that physically changes.

Finally beat
blood starved
solo. Took like 6 fucking tries.
I had to fight him 5 times. I got him down to 1/5th without getting hit once the last 4 times, then I'd get poisoned and dead over and over in his final form. Annoying. Making him use his right arm swing was the best way to get some hits in.

DAT title :p

Goddamn though my game broke has anyone else had this happen... I was in the forbidden forest and was right before the dude with the cannon and I was about to take a run and go past him and the FPS literally went to like 3-5 FPS and I thought my game was freezing I had 50k echos at the time @____@

ascent ladder

gatling gun dude shoots me down as soon as I get up there
, I fall and die

ok then

About to play some right now. Some of the regular enemies are more terrifying than the bosses. The Catherdal Ward enemy on the stairs made me nope then I beat him.

I want Eileen's set and weapon, but I don't want to kill her for it. Damn it.

I know I must have missed some stuff,
but I only saw her once (just outside the little church town where you send people) -- she told me not to go under the cathedral or something like that. then a bit later in the game I went to the boss room where the big llama girl was and eileen was there, going aggro on me. not sure why.

I figured it out, it was super simple. The headstones next to the one you I was normally using (the first one) are now active and have places to awaken. Doh

Hello :)
Lots of experience here but trying to play blind... was wondering if I should upgrade my saw cleaver or if there is something I should wait for.
Thanks for any response :).

I hear people talk about the "meta" of Bloodborne, is that about PVP? After a certain level
people are saying 125
does it not make sense to continue to level up because you won't be able to find other competitive players who know what they are doing?

I'm thinking of just saying screw it and going 25 in str, skill and bloodtinge now.

So far the saw looks like a very viable weapon. Also, you' ll find lots of upgrade items, so go for it if you like the moveset.

Just found Gatling guy last night. I was expecting a boss I guess because I didn't react fast enough. He carved me up after it took me all that time to get up there. Now, I've totally forgotten who I got up there and I'm running around like an idiot.

Need advice if possible. Late game optional area spoilers.
Whats up with the weird creature in Altar of Despair. I can target it and the area its in looks like a boss room, but it didn't attack me. Not sure if I should fight it or if it has another purpose.
Hit that bitch hard for me.

Got the tomorrow afternoon and weekend off. Going to finally get to put some quality time into this game. Can't fucking wait!
