I dunno, Cleric Beast (10-15 tries) gave me more trouble than anything in Dark Souls 1. But I didn't beat the game, only got halfway through. Only played 10 hours of Dark Souls 2

Father G and BSB were both pretty easy for me though, I did Father G in 3 tries and BSB in 1.

We must be opposites or something. Did Cleric Beast on first try Father G and BSB both took me a few. Think I need to work on gun/parry skills. Relying on the shield in the souls games is hurting my bloodborne skills but I really like the change in pace to it.

Bloodborne might be my favorite of the games so far.

I finally got the chance to sit down and play Bloodborne. I've played all day and I'm absolutely loving it! It took a couple hours but I feel I have a pretty good grasp on the gameplay.

I've made it to both the first and second boss. I've only attempted to fight them each once but haven't beat either yet. My girlfriend is in love with the art style so I told her I would hold off on beating the bosses until she can watch :). Until then I've been grinding for Blood Echoes and I can now easily clear the areas up until the first two bosses.

I can't wait till my gf comes home so I can progress further!

Yup I was a massive shield turtler in Demons/Dark and it made the learning curve for Bloodborne crazy steep. Spent 4 or 5 hours dying in the first area and at Cleric Beast.

It's kind of clicked for me now though, I fucking love it.

Wooh. Marathon session before a couple days without, complete.

Killed several bosses and learned some things about stats that I'll be remembering for my next playthrough. Really can't wait to see what's next!

I'm so happy, I beat Cleric on first go, tears of joy.

I'm quite a noob at souls games so fist pump central!

But now about to fight the next boss and delaying the pain by coming on GAF.

So far I've put all my stat points into Skill and Arcane, with a few in Endurance...and all the weapons I've found have Strength/Bloodtinge requirements.

Sigh.

Alright so I got killed by this demon that holds a bag and I somehow ended in up in some prison. Not I have no idea how to get out and all the enemies in here are crazy strong and I'm almost out of blood vials. Any help?

Are there any tips to
Nightmare Frontier?
I kind of held back going further after I saw the obligatory
swamp with poison and limited mobility.
I think the limited item use might make this area a hell of a lot harder than it would be in prior games...

Take your time and look for a Lantern. You can warp out from there, as it's not influenced by the people who took you prisoner.

Gotcha. Is that the first ladder?

I believe so. If I'm remembering correctly, you go through
the town, and there's a room that is a bit misty that hid some beastmen that were playing dead. You'll come to a T-junction after that room, and you'll want to go to your right to access the shortcut ladder. That will take you all the way up to where you can get to Gyula.

This game not difficult because of its enemies this game is difficult because it tests your freaking patience with the loading screen. Probably the most annoying thing about this game is its freaking 10 min loading time lol. But other than that solid game 9/10.

Got home from work after thinking about Father G all day and took him out solo on 1st try. Made it all the way through Old Yarnham and then climbed this ladder to a guy with a gun...

Lawd, it never ends with this game. Made serious progress, though, so I can't complain. I have the parry down pat and am rolling monsters. I love From Software.

MG guy spoilers :
if you want an easy way to take out the mg nerd here's how i did it : http://www.twitch.tv/cronzik/c/6403128

Alternatively you can approach him once you find the black church clothes and he won't shoot you

Just
defeated BSB
it wasn't as hard now that I'm getting used to the combat system. Where do I go now?
do I use the 10k BE key to open that gate and progress from there?

Yes. If you unlocked the shortcut, then you can pretty much get to BSB in 30 sec.

Just got to it. The door had a note, "No Hunters Allowed", or something like that.

Is this the one that aggros the
Gatlin Gun hunter
by entering?

I explored around the Cathedral, but only found locked gates and some giant dudes wielding a Scythe and chain ball.

I don't want to gloat but I just beat Blood Starved Beast on my first try solo.

...ok i'm gloating a bit. Feels good though

You know what that's a nice gloat, but beating him first try with no antidotes because you're a moron and forgot to key it like I did is better.. jus saying....

Fought the witch for the first time.
So there's actually two? Killed her and I was confused why I didn't win. There was still a couple creatures left after me, then another health bar showed up for a second witch. I was trying to kill the creatures and avoid getting caught in that bind spell when the witch I killed suddenly ressurected and had 25% health. Eventually, both witches appeared out of nowhere, trapped me in a bind, and started gnawing on me or something until I died. What a confusing boss. No idea whats going on.

ok the
shadow of yharnam
was a epic fight. like fight
snake ninjas that can control fire and summon biggers snakes.

Battle can go a lot of different ways, depending which order you take them out.

I took out
the guy who shoots 3 fireballs first, then the one with the Flametorch, then the ninja sword one

That's exactly what happened to me the first time. The second time I didn't take a single hit. Has to be the easiest boss in the game, when you know what's up.

So is there some special trick to getting 3 people into a game? My friends and I can't connect no matter what we do.

We're in the exact same area. Within 10 levels. Have our network settings matched. No dice.

Same thing happened to me. Had no idea what the fuck was going on or the mechanics really. I just killed a monster, saw a red orb, ran to it, witch popped up, got in some hits, repeat. Did it on my first try, easiest boss by far so far.

Yeah, not sure what you guys are doing on BSB, but if you need any tips, let me know. He's extremely easy once you figure out his pattern, just gotta be patient and play it safe. Didn't even use an antidote, just play it safe at end.

Tip for new players to souls games: Try to survive for the first 2 minutes on bosses and play with their attack zones to find patterns. Then exploit them.

Which shortcut? I've opened a couple but I'm not sure which one you're talking about.

when u being by the lantern, go out, on the right side, jump down to the roof of a house, jump down again, and again. You will arrive at a area you think is a dead end but if you jump on the left side down *make sure you have opened the gate before* and go down the stairs, basically run past wolves you reach the boss.

Yeah same here, first try, most underwhelming boss so far

Wow beat the Cleric Beast on my first try. Little strategy. Roll roll roll.
Was so close to giving up on this game(new to souls) if I had died at a certain point but then I went on a 2.5 hour run where I didn't die before I shut it down for the night. That was fun!

Oh my god so fucking close to beating the witch. Had her down to just maybe 4-5 good strikes and she would of been down. No fire, no nothing just pure melee. SO CLOSE.

I actually had her stun locked for a moment.

I'm broadcasting on twitch if you want to watch my next attempt.

I desperately need help; F. Woods spoilers:
I found a guy on the big wooden house that needed a safe place to stay. However, I went back to the Ward, and someone was murdered. I am pretty certain it was him, because the victim was fine before I invited him. Plus, he looked creepy hovering over the dead bodies like he was munching.

I go back to the woods, and he is not there. Where do I find this pecker so I can protect the rest?
