I think I need to take a break and admit I'm not having fun at the moment.

Basically now I'm: grinding for health and molotovs, running to the second boss, if I miss a single parry or get caught in his combo..., grinding for health and molotovs...

Oh and of course I can't summon help yet. I seriously can't believe they took such a huge strip backwards.

one major complaint i have is how hard it is to see your dropped Echoes. i mean seriously, the dropped souls in the previous games were very visible.

Yeah, I still have no idea how I picked up some drops because I sure as shit didn't see them on the floor.

I helped Eileen
win her duel
. As a result, I now own more armor sets and got another cool gesture from her.

I fucking missed her during 2 of the important points so I won't own her armor I guess. Then again I wasn't crazy about its stats and armor sets in this game aren't as 'clearly superior' as in the other one. Currently wearing the tomb armor set because I spent way too much souls on it to not use it.

You know there is a lot of cheapness with your boss design when people are using the "get the boss stuck in the environment and then wail on them" strategy.

And some manage to brave the odds by skill, using cheap tactics to win is the motto of players who see no way to overcome that gap and that is just fine and how it has always been.People were unable to beat Manus and just shot arrows at him for half an hour, would you call that cowardice or a fuck up on Froms part? You could call it both.

No idea if it's been posted yet, but found a decent spot for farming echoes, check the spoiler tag (it's a bit into the game)...

The Lecture Hall lantern loads extremely quickly from the hunter's dream (about 6-8 seconds on average.) Just clear the lecture hall on the right mid-way down from the lantern and run back to the lantern. Good for about 10-12k echoes at a time, makes it very easy to max out your vials/bullets and of course over level yourself.

Won't spoil my favorite weapon so far completely,
but man oh man does that thing make me feel like Thor.

Oh no doubt. However that strategy only works for a little because,
once he goes into his second form, he rips through those graves. If you can't maneuver or riposte properly, you're dead.

yeah. In Souls game they were shiny as shit. This is barely shiny and sometimes gets confused for the spirit mark of another player

I agree. Why wouldn't they just keep it the same.

That or noticing which enemy absorbed them. It's hard to tell.

Yeah, I still have no idea how I picked up some drops because I sure as shit didn't see them on the floor.

yea, not a fan of how it's implemented. sometimes i just give up on the Echoes instead of trying to find them.

Here's what you missed out on

What stat should I level for my axe? I have been lvl vitality, endurance and a bit of skill.
I say strength. Skill and Strength are very similar, so you can choose either of them. But if I recall correctly, building strength stat gives you more points for your axe and damage output of your character than building skill stat.

severe end game questions
I found the third umbilical cord. FROM are some sick dudes..... lol? maybe.

I've killed all the bosses that are associated with trophies, save the chalice one. I'm missing one chalice, which I think you might get in a chalice dungeon?

I've given three vileblood thingies to the queen and I restored her after she got 86d by Alfred (pretty cool that you can revive her)

I got the +10 blood stone. I'm rocking a +10 starting weapon, the cane.

Is there anything else I should do before i eat 3 umbilical cords and go for the win?

Also, is a level 15 gem needed for the achievement? Got a few 14s

I had to get mine up to 18 to use this new pistol and it's boss as hell, so I think it's worth it for that. You don't exactly one shot enemies though.
Interesting. It's things like this I like in from games. The one stat that gives you a powerful item that catches players off guard in pvp. Like necromancy in DS2.

I just noticed that he was 2 handing that axe. Can you do that with all weapons? I have the saw cleaver...

Not 2 hand, but when you extend the blade, the charge attack has good reach.

Killed the machinegunner with the cheapness, now I'm gonna try to get that dandy stepping prick that's below him. He's seriously starting to piss me off. I can't seem to find his parrying move. I'm going to bed win or lose, though.

Got Ludwig's to +10, and it's alright. A scale in Arcane, and with the appropriate gems it's up to 400 atk power right now (28 arcane). Curious to see how it scales up.

Really wish I could have stuck with the Tonitrus, but it's so fragile.

I mean, that's not really true though. The bell system is fine, bworthe multiplayer is fundamentally broken. It would be like in your scenario, you ring the bell, but no one can see your circle to click. It's a networking problem, not a mechanics problem.
It works though! I've helped out a lot of people before. It may not work every time, and it's variable, but that might be unavoidable. At the very least you shouldn't use an insight until after the person shows up.

So I met up
with the hunter hunter at father G place and I kept her alive and beat up the hunter
I can't find out where she is now. I always seem to miss these sub quest. Even the
music box and finding the kids mom. She doesn't reply to me now
So yeah. Lol.

Progressing through the chalice dungeon is the thing to do, there is always something special and unique to encounter including the absolute last thing you would have expected. Go through them

You can summon help even before Cleric Beast.

You just need the bell from the hub

There's a section near
hemwick charnel lane
that is a good place to farm. Normally I go back and kill the red spawning enemy, then kill the villagers, go up the lift and make a circle through the mobs and back down to the lantern.
