When you reach the swamp area where you can hear the large pig walking around, there's a side path that leads to a second elevator that arrives back in that mill near the first elevator where you first met a snakehead guy. It's difficult to describe exactly where the shortcut is

I'm not completely sure since I've yet to use them. But I believe you need to consume them and then start the ending.

I just swith to 1H mode for fast annoying enemies or guys that are easy to parry. Bosses and most other enemies I use the greatsword mode on.

Have you played Depth 3 (or higher) Chalice Dungeons yet? The Hunters I've fought in them are pretty insane, perfectly parrying and dodging through attacks.
I was having real problems with one in particular (Cainhurst armor + katana), until I started to use my blades of mercy and learned the usefulness of the sidestep attack.

Edit: Near the last boss soon I think, been a cake walk for the most part. Well I've heard chalice dungeons are pretty challenging though so looking forward to that. I really don't understand why people bash on the cane so much.

Joining a co-op game with my friend is so tedious. Takes an average of 3-5 minutes standing in the same area for us to connect with one another, and we're using a password.
We also got invaded too, our enemy seemed to have a ridiculous amount of health as our attacks barely had any impact (~10 damage per attack). It didn't help that he ambushed us as we were fighting the Hunter firing at us with a gatling gun. Extremely tense scenario.

Non-Aggro Djura:
To get non-aggro Djura you have to approach him without going from Cathedral Ward to Old Yharnam. In other words you need to open the shortcut at the end of Yahar Gul, and you need to be wearing black church clothes.
To get the black church clothes, you can go through the cathedral plaza with the hunter chief emblem and take the first left past the flame thrower guy. In the alleyway that you go into there, in a small branch to the left off the main alley, you can find the black church clothes set hidden behind some debris.

Put on armor with highest poison resistance. (black church or gascgoine both work). Keep ten antidotes out and use them whenever your poison guage is over 2/3. DON'T WAIT UNTIL YOU'RE ALREADY POISONED. Don't bother witj fire bombs unless you have a high arcane stat. Summin two people, and only attack when he's focused on someone else. Dodge two-three times at the beginninh of each of his attack animations. heal whenever you have a chance to.
I just gave up, for now anyway. Surviving the 2nd phase is ridic

Need help? (Assuming we're within a close level range.)
mid 30s and +4. Ive only tried him once, but I struggled to get in. both my weapons have short range, and I couldnt manage to do the old circle straffing. But like I said I only tried once. Any tips?
Goddamn. Just beat BSB. I tried with

but he still massacred me probably like ten times. In the end a simple 1v1 fight with no gimmick items did the trick. When he died I'd even used up every single vial.
That endorphin rush afterwards is why I love this game.

I wasn't really high level when I fought it but I still stomped it once I understood how it worked.
Once you've removed its lightning power by making it fall over you've won basically. You can just keep on stunning it when it tries to put its lightning back on.
