Ok, didn't think Bloodborne would do this to me, but dang i'm going to start working my ass off on mturk to make up the $150 I need to buy the PS4 bundled with this game ASAP

For the blood chunk it says you can take an elevator at the mergo lift lamp and jump out at the window. Are they talking about the small cage elevator or one of the large elevators? I don't see where I can jump from either, though.
Are you talking about the
blood rock? The cage that goes down right after the Micolash lamp is open and on the way down you can jump into a window. Follow the path and beat the enemies and eventually you will pull a lever causing a cutscene. Go to the site where the enemy falls down and you'll find the blood rock!

I'm level 82.

also unlocked the 3 runes for the covenants! Now I can play as whatever covenant for pvp. yeah, if only pvp wasn't fucking dead.
 
Is there ever an opportunity to respec in this game? I want to change my build for ng+ to take advantage of the gear you get in the late game and don't really feel like playing a build all the way through the game just to use the equipment at the end of it. Guess I could reset ALL my souls in ng+ and just try to level again, but I'm not sure how easy that's going to be.
 
Can anyone explain why Co-op wouldn't be working for me and my friend?

He is level 19, I'm 26, I'm out the front of the boss area, he rings the beckoning bell, I ring the resonant bell.

We wait, nothing happens.

Is it supposed to work?

I can't get summoned by anyone it seems.
 
Gathered up all my NG+ notes, see if this helps anyone at all.

NG+ note #1: The regular Yharnam enemies give around 40 echoes. The same enemies give around 850 echoes in NG+.

NG+ note #2: Blood Vials cost 900 echoes.

NG+ note #3: Insight cost is still the same in the store.

NG+ note #4: Environmental hazards do not scale on you or the enemies. Example: if the enemy stands in fire in NG, it deals 30 damage to him. It'll still be 30 damage on NG+.

NG+ note #5: Crystal Lizards (or whatever they're called in this game) do not scale their loot.

NG+ note #6: All the runes that you've already gotten are replaced with Madman's Knowledge.

NG+ note #8: Having trouble with the frenzy debuff? Sedatives are purchasable in the regular shops in NG+! (5,6k each, so pretty much free at this stage).
Vials scale to your level, it has nothing to do with NG+. I think the regular shop will sell sedatives before NG+ but I'm not at home so I can't confirm.
 
Do you have all trophies?
62% currently. Haven't checked the list yet but will do so when I have the time/can bother with it :)
 
Anyone in the 90s willing to help out with Father Gascoigne on NG+?

I always manage to get his health to about 1/5 but his beast form just has too many chain moves and kills me.
 
supposedly the first change happens when you have 15 at once. HAving 2 occasionally wont matter



I think I got a bell to summon others upon
returning to the lodge after killing the cleric beast
. The bell to offer help is
purchaseable in the lodge but you need 10 insight to see the merchant

Perfect,thanks...currently running around with 9 Insight and finally silenced that annoying guy on the tower shooting at you lol...funny how it happened,but I had tons of souls so I elected to go back and cash them in...he will probably be back but he is easily avoided...
 
Is there illusory walls in this game? I've been slashing at walls but haven't found a single one, wondering if I should continue to waste my time doing this :p

I just realized that I need to activate that 2nd cage first.

Then the vials stop scaling after a certain level because they haven't increased in price since level 90 or something (curently level 147).

I've heard that sedatives shows up in store but you have to do something in order for it to show up. In NG+, they're automatically there in the stores. No pre-req is required for it to exist.

You guys did the unique password thing...? otherwise might be the servers,lots of people had problem yesterday and this is the first weekend for the game.

Must have killed it twice over the last go round before I finally died. It was down to around 10% health left when it finally did me in too. Doesn't matter because it would just healed anyway.

Use Numbing Mist. From the sounds of it, you'll have the boss down easy with that.
 
NG++ note #2: Cleric Beast down. Bosses also seems to give 10% more than NG+.
 
I'm still debating my arcane build.

Ludwig's Sword with elemental gems or a Skill/Arcane build for the weapons that have inherent arcane damage and scale with both?

What do you guys think would be more effective?
 
Cathedral Ward locked door
I ascended the tower of the Healing Church Workshop and there's a locked door. I was under the impression I was supposed to go up there from Gehrman. How do I open this door?
 
What level should I be if I want to be able to do Dungeons with most people? I don't want to get too high and then there are no one to play with.

Numbing mist stops her from healing. You get it
by sending people into the clinic, or by going through the right path from the chapel to get to the cathedral ward.
Though I will say, I did it's possible without it(I didn't use it), it's just a matter of persistence.

Arcane scaling is absolute crap for every single weapon that has it.

Not worth it. Have 40 Arcane, it sucks. Unless they fix it I would highly advise never putting any points into it.

It has to be alive first. Game hasn't been out a week yet. Many are still just playing the game. It'll get there. Need to give peeps time to figure everything out.
