You should invest in arcane , it is so much fun. Using empty phantasm shell is an awesome buff. Remember when i got invaded in nightmare realm , this buff was so useful but not until i used my old hunters bone and started teleporting around my invader lol he started panicking and run away lol. I know it is not your main build but is the consensus gonna be like with the last one 125 level for pvp?

it's not like there is an arena or something, you invade people with a bell maiden, 2 locations even have them by default when you get there.

Or level ranges, or people are killing the bell maiden because they just don't know any better or they do know and can't be bothered yet, etc.

We have people here in OT2 asking if you can unsocket a gem still. Some people might not even know how to buy the bells yet.

We've seen PvP videos already so I don't think its broken - the entire MP system is more cumbersome than before so give it a few.

My doll was alive prior to encountering any bosses. Don't know what triggers her awakening but it's something else, not this.

is gone. Anyone know what's up with that? I didn't kill him and I've looked everywhere. He's gone. Does he go somewhere besides the dream?

Forbidden Woods is a masterful midpoint for the game.
Up until now you've been fighting pretty standard fare monsters. You've got werewolves, hairy beast-men, ogres, and witches. For the early part of the woods you're still fighting those enemies. Then you enter an old abandoned windmill, which also serves as a checkpoint for the level, and see what appears to be yet another humanoid enemy with an axe. He takes a few steps forward and a bunch of snakes burst out of his skull. Whoah. From that point forward you're fighting snake-men, piles of snakes, and fucking aliens. We're not in Kansas anymore. Then you get to Byrgenwerth and fight a giant celestial centipede thing, creepy bug-men, and a baby Cthulu that can bursts your head open and sucks your body fluids. It's such a bizarre and surprising transition and it's done extremely well.
 
idk but all that Arcane stuff sounds either broken or just badly balanced. I was about to pump echoes into Arcane but I guess I'll quit (I think its about 15 now). Will probably go on with Skill, since it also scales decent with LHS.

You can unequip whenever you want.
 
Any tips on leveling? I am level 24 and mostly been concentrating of vitality and endurance so right now am

Vit : 18
End: 18
Strength: 14
Skill: 10
Bloodtinge: 7
Arcane: 7

Mainly using saw cleaver. Just not sure if I should start putting levels into other stats now.

There's an easy to miss area behind the house where the stump messengers are -- he kicks it back there sometimes.
 
I regret not upgrading my pistol sooner. Currently have it at +3 with a blood gem that increases the atk by 12.6%. The jump from the damage I was doing unupgraded to where it is at now is huge.

sure but there are a lot of people playing, and if you summon someone for co-op or stay in those areas you can be invaded. it's not like people find the bell maiden instantly.

what I'm saying is that the fact that the game just came out is probably not the only reason why pvp ain't working.

Tried again and I completely obliterated her. Used some of the twin blood shards I found from the time
I got taken to sack land
. Going from +3 to +5 on the weapon made a big difference.

You must've used an item that gains insight. Normally entering a boss room gives 1 insight, so people can typically upgrade after being owned by CB.
 
Anyone know of a place where you can find out how a Weapon scales as you power it up? For instance, my Ludwigs Blade has B Strength scaling at +6, but not all weapons increase their scaling as you level up (example saw blade doesn't improve scaling at all even at +5)
 
So yesterday, vials were dropping left and right.
Had almost 50 at one point.

Then I lost them all trying a boss and some tough enemies.
And suddenly, not a single vial would drop.
Took me forever to get 20 back..
 
I found a hunter and he gave me 2 items but i only see one of them in my inventory. What's the second item he gives you? You have to talk to him twice to get both.

Arcane is the stat required for using a set of "Unlimited Use" special effect items that you can equip in your item slots. They're Bloodborne's "magic" basically and using them takes Bullets. They suck.

It's also raises your Item Discovery stat and is a secondary stat for damage scaling on a couple weapons (but is really awful and barely does anything on them).

I can't remember where I found or if it was a lucky drop. Wanted to use it on Ludwig's Holy Blade but it won't let me. Not even on Kirkhammer. Only weapon I could use it on that I have on me was my pistol. Decided to just put it on it. The pistol alone takes more than half of the Central Yharnam enemies health away with a single shot.
 
Not sure what to do now.

Just beat BSB.

I have been using the saw cleaver for the whole time. I have upgraded it far enough that now its asking for me to use the different blood shards to continue upgrading it.

However, I have 20k shards to buy that ludwig sword.

Kinda dont know what to do. Is it "wrong" that I keep using the cleaver? I like its quickness. But is the ludwig just a complete step up that I would be hampering myself if I kept on with the cleaver?

Doesn't it have to do with the shape of the gems if it works or not? And I think guns use unique gems, unless i'm mistaken.

I have nothing good yet. It must be RNG.
