I do that but sometimes they climb all over each other or glitch through the wall and get some hits in. It's just so annoying. What's a good weapon with crazy charge attack range? I can try that.

I use the electric mace with L1 power up. Scales with arcane stat to boot. One-shots the blue-eyed wolves.

So how does
Rom
coop work? Summoned people a couple of times (after burning through about 8 insight as the beckoning bell seems to only work when it feels like it) but they couldn't seem to get through the fog gate. Then one time after I summoned someone, when I was fighting the boss, after getting to the second phase of the fight my guy suddenly dropped from the sky and was in the fight.

Does anyone else have a problem with the amount of damage they are doing vs bosses or am I just super underleveled. Example I'm fighting Amelia at around level 25 with a threaded cane at level 3 and 17 skill, 10 strength, and the lifebar barely moves. The way I beat BSB involved stunning him twice, then using Fire paper to do large amounts of damage. I don't want to have to use Fire paper at every boss though, should I just reroll and go full strength build with a different weapon?

I normally liked in the old games being rewarded later for taking the crappy stats early so later in the game I could get a bad ass weapon, but the threaded cane doesn't really seem that great atm.

Threaded cane improves a lot and its speed is quite an asset later, particularly against some bosses and a lot of regular enemy types. There is no reason to reroll, none of the weapons have huge stat requirements, and almost everything scales pretty evenly with either str or dex. There is just not that much gained by perfectly allocating points towards something. You get like 2% more damage, woopdeedoo.

They cannot enter the encounter until you actually see the bosses lifebar.

I miss that swing and the cloth reacts to the "shockwave"! Gotta love the cloth physics in this game.

I can't wait for the community to piece together all the lore but
in that ending it seems like you've turned into a baby great one that will replace the Moon presence/beast thing that you killed imo. I'm assuming that it's what controls and causes the hunt

I AM MOON MAN!

How do I unlock the room in the
lecture theatre place where the guy talks to you? He said take a leap of faith so I got the cutscene where he throws you in to the poison, now he's saying throw yourself to the wolves. What does this mean/where should i go?
Anybody?

They can't cross the fog until you drop down, they were yelling at you on the other side of it.

Man, this part in
Old Yharmam where you gotta fight through the machine gun fire...
so hard.
When he told you to turn back, you really had that choice. you could have avoided aggroing him by taking another route to old yharnam later in the game.

Does anyone have a list of optional bosses off hand? I'm wondering if I'm missing anything before I try to get through to the end.

Cleric Beast
Darkbeast Paarl
Blood-Starved Beast
Martyr Logarius
Witch of Hemwick
Amygdala
Celestial Emissary
Ebrietas, Daughter of the Cosmos
+Chalice Dungeon bosses (there's like more than 10 bosses exclusive to this part of the game)

Think that's all of them.

Im lost again ive beaten the
witch of hemwick
and
vicar amelia
.

Where do i go now? I checked for gherman but he isnt in the dream.

Go down from the great cathedral in the big round square head right and find a door that requires a password. You must
touch the skull after you beat Amelia
.

Took down the boss in the Unseen Village.
Not really sure what to make of that. Was it supposed to keep toppling over and over? It only did a few attacks and died really fast.

Up to A
melia
on NG+ and i just killed R
om
on my new bloodtinge skill character. Using the C
hikage
and E
velyn
weapons, liking it a lot.

I'm increasingly learning that a lot of the difficulty of these games is just due to the obtuse nature of leveling and weapon scaling. I thought Dark Souls 2 was just easier, but now I'm thinking that it was just the first time that I realized you only need to level VIT, END, and the skill that governs your main weapon. Then you upgrade that weapon as much as you can and you're good to go. I'm following the same formula with Bloodborne and getting very similar results. This may sound like pretty standard RPG fare, and it is, but once you wrap your head around it in these games they become much simpler.

Cool, thanks!

I just took out Amygdala and it looks like I got the rest. Still haven't touched Chalice dungeons yet, though.

Just got to the For
bidden Forest, and got killed by that thing that would teleport you to that prison-like thing. Wtf. Most tensed I've been in any souls games. The place he teleports you to is hella creepy.

Typing, typing, typing, typing, typing...

Not too tough if you dodge liberally. He's slow as fuck and you can pretty much ignore the adds.

You'll probably beat him now. I made a post about him owning me and then I beat him really easy heh.

He's actually really easy once you figure out the trick. What have you tried?

I haven't tried it for myself, did a quick coop run just to see it. The host died but I think if you're patient and carefully dodge the little ones it's an easy fight.

But still the whole concept of the fight, geez. FROM you magnificent bastards.

I defeated the Cleric Beast. Don't see the point of doign so as it is a dead end. I mean, I know there is lots of stuff which I have to explore, but it seem to me like I didn't even need to fight this boss.

Are there times when you die and cannot recover your souls? I know they're typically with the enemy who killed you (or a surrounding one) or on the ground, but I just lost 20k souls and they're nowhere in sight. -.-

Just walking around an area, when suddenly
a horse carriage comes along and I get in. Cainhurst Castle!

Just beat the boss, that area was really cool.

I am getting sick of this Forbidden Woods boss fight.

So close then bam rape.

Here's what I did.
I didn't use any vials for the sake of scouting the boss since you can run to them in about 2 minutes from the spawn point. One by one, I tried to see which of those assholes would pose the greatest threat to me after the 2 are killed. By process of elimination I found the biggest problem to me was the katana guy, so I killed him first. Next was the mage because of how retarded his spells become after they transformed. Leaving the flame thrower guy for last being as he moves slow and doesn't have cheap attacks.

If I'm not mistaken, the majority of the bosses in the game are actually optional. This MIGHT include the following as skippable:
Cleric Beast, Blood-starved Beast, Witch of Hemwick, Darkbeast Paarl, Martyr Logarius, and then there are the 3 great ones - all of which might be optional too? That includes Amygdala, Celestial Emissary and Ebrietas Daughter of the Cosmos. Not sure if that giant brain thing counted as a boss - the one atop the nightmare castle bridge.

Killed
Shadow of Yarnam
on my first go around, used 20 blood vials and profuse sweating from my hands. Really fun fight and game so far

I finished Alfred's questline. This game is so dark. He also gave me
two radiance runes. Was that supposed to happen? Is one better than the other?

In my game
I never found the nun in time, so the whore lived to give birth. But I've heard reports of the nun killing the whore when you take a vial of whore blood instead of a vial of nun blood.

That's weird because
I found both and took the whore's blood multiple times and the nun never killed her.

I love the subtle progression in Forbidden Woods and how it gets more and more fucked up the deeper you travel into it.

First
snake possessed people, then little snake mobs, then HUGE FUCKING snake mobs and suddenly... weird creepy... alien? creatures?

Man. This game. It's always keeping me on my toes if I ever start to feel just a LITTLE bit confident haha.
