When you beat the game, are you forced into NG+? Or can you keep playing in the same world, doing chalice dungeons, etc?

Nope it's exactly like DS1. You are forced into a restart. Also you keep chalice items, so you can dive into chalice dungeons immediately

Yes, so happy to move on from Rom. Feels good.

Darkbeast Paarl
down on first try. It almost had me but some serious rolling saved me when he started doing his lighting charge attack.

Strangely, I had less trouble with the second boss than the first. Just parry that shit. The parry window feels fairly large in this game.

Did anyone do what I did with Rom? Beat it on my second try.
I avoided the little spiders sprinted in and got 2 hits on him with Ludwigs holy sword. Kept repeating the process sprinting in and out, wasn't all that difficult.

You'll know when it's time to finish/enter NG+, for the most part.

I just started up to Central Yharnam lamp in NG+ and back to Refuge. Chalice(s) seem open, but nothing else. You maintain same stats/gear had when finished game (but can't level up at beginning before doing first boss).

Can anyone help me find Eileen?

I found her in the sewers and talked to her, but now I guess she is supposed to be in the Cathedral Ward, except she isn't. There is no event at the tomb either. Is there something I missed or need to do? I killed the Blood Starved Beast, Amelia, and the Witches. Am I screwed? Is she just gone from my game for good?

Also, how is everyone doing the chalice dungeons? I haven't figured that out yet.

Why in the world wouldn't you spoiler tag the shortcuts. I mean, what the fuck.

EDIT: Beware AngryMoth's long post if you want to be surprised how the world connects together.

Anyone know what to do to get the Ashen hunter armor without killing
Djura
? I approached him and agreed with him and got his badge, and was able to buy his weapon. On the wiki it says the unlocks if you get the messenger item from that area, which I did, but the armor isn't on either vendor in the Dream.

For Eileen goto cathedral ward right outside the door straight in an area to the left, chalice dungeons u get a chalice from killing bsb

This game is complete BS. The second boss is just awfully balanced. Whilst I felt like Demon Souls and Dark Souls were really skill-based, it seems Bloodborne is just luck. How the fuck am I supposed to beat that guy?

Just got the boss glitch again with M
ergo
W
et
N
urse
spamming the same attack over and over. Ugh that glitch is the worst.

Learning the timing for Parrying is best and important with that boss.

Edit: wait who are you fighting as the second boss?

As easy as the fight turned out to be, I really liked how they approached the design of the fight for the W
itch of Hemwick. You're drawn to the enemy that you think is the Witch, but moving around the area it spawns at will eventually reveal the Witch, which is your first big hint that you should avoid the mob and focus on the Witch. The red light indicator is strong enough to know where to go when it teleports to the other side of the room, which then teaches you that the mob is slow enough to not be a credible threat unless you go out of your way to engage it. Once you kill the Witch, they throw the next big twist at you: there's two more, and they add more mobs. Since you're having to go back and forth in the room now, this is when you notice that you can really use the environment to your advantage, since the mobs tend to slowly mirror your movements through the room, so you can kite them away from the witches. I even like how the big change the witches' moveset gets reinforces using lighting cues to navigate the fight: it reveals that they now can spawn underneath the broken bridge in the center of the room, and the bright white color sticks out as both easy to read and obviously quite dangerous to be hit by.
It's a fairly uneventful fight, but there's a lot of really great design that went into it. Plus, the area the fight takes place in is pretty rad.

You'll get him and you will feel better about the game. Did you find the
music box
? also, try molotovs.

About to fight the final boss. Do you get any item depending on the ending ? Or should i just pick whichever. Also i'm lvl 80, is that good for NG+?

I think i only missed an optional boss, because of an elevator glitch.

Item/boss endgame spoilers.
So I've heard you need 3 umbilical cords to fight the secret boss, and to see a different ending? I have 2 and don't think I can get the 3rd because I didn't see Iosefka on the operating table. I just fought her normally. Am I screwed out of the 3rd umbilical cord on my first playthrough?

It's still horrible :P

The bad platforming is sometimes the worst enemy in these games
Yeah, I'm almost at the bottom and it seems like I have to do a running jump.

Btw.: guys, check if there are openings during the elevator rides, you maybe can go through. ;)

Thanks, but that's where I checked and I can't find her. Some people say you can break her quest if you progress too far without talking to her, other people say they found her later in the game, so I don't know what to believe.

I've read that quest can get bugged, but she is not inside the ward,
if you spawn at the ward lamp she is actually outside if you move through the doorway that's in front of you and then turn to the left

Same thing happened to me.
I think you are supposed to wait before killing Rom before going to Iosefka or something, it's pretty convoluted. I went there when i found the shortcut in the woods, and killed her and got nothing

After I talked with that homeless dude and sending him to the Cathedral Ward, I found one of the old ladies dead!

What is happening.... I am about to kill that homeless dude.

So what do you do with the items? I've entered NG+ now though, so I may be screwed at checking any of this stuff out off the bat.

Choked that I had them all but didn't see any extra stuff :p

No issues with father G, no issues with any bosses but the Forbidden Woods guys. I give the fuck up.

Time for drink drink revolution and then try again.
I'm stuck here myself. The third phase gets me.

Plus, that blood vial bug where it wipes your storage of blood vials killed me a little inside today.

Fourteen hours in (3 bosses down), and I feel like I'm still playing this game exactly like Dark Souls. I'm using the two-handed axe and dodging attacks. The gameplay feels exactly the same to me. I was under the impression that I would have to learn a new play style, but that has not been the case so far.

Well I got the game yesterday and how dependant on the shield I was has been exposed terribly. I've beaten the 3 previous games and yet I've been destroyed a whole bunch of times now on the first boss. Still haven't beat it, its tougher for me then O&S at the moment. Haven't worked out the timing of the gun parry thing either.
