The first and fourth points are oddest to me. Seems very sloppy. But this game feels like it was rushed out. unoptimised, the plain loading screens, weird little quirks like not have stat comparison (which is super annoying). That final 5% kinda thing that feels like it's missing.
Ah, forgot the loading screen. Thanks. There are still enough items in the game to just put in the item descriptions in.The way DeS did it was to spoilery (showing NPC characters and bosses)
I know there's a weapon back there that I'd love to be using but I've no idea how to open it and it just says closed. I think it's the only locked door in that room but it's down the stairs and to the right from the spawn point.
I have a couple of quick questions about chalice dungeons. First, just to confirm, so the way I understand it only the chalices with root in the name are the procedurally generated ones, and the rest are presets and can be played offline?
Also, is it possible to do coop in them outside of using the makeshift alter?
In the Cathedral ward, you go out and there's two guys with lanterns walking around a well. Go left. You'll come across a building with a tomb in the center. Go around the building to the left, up the stairs. Go through the room with the lever. He's on the other side down some stars.
If you go to the Lecturer's Hall 2nd Floor Lamp and look at the corner to the right of the door the wall asset's placement is off by a bit which creates a gap that lets you see into the other room.
You have two options: Forbidden Forest or Hemwick (riflemen area). The forbidden forest door uses the password you are talking about and is accessed by walking down the stairs (from the Amelia lantern) to the circular area with the 2 giants and turning right and down a spiral staircase. Hemwick is easier and recommended as after you kill the boss there (who is relatively easy) you get the Rune Workshop Tool, which allows you to make use of Caryll runes.
I just stumbled on the password door and happened to know it (no idea how), but I'll head back to rifleman area as that feels like the natural place to go. There was an NPC chap near the password door. Actually there was an NPC telling me to not go downstairs to kill a Hunter as she wants to do that. Should I do that too or do as she says and leave him alone?
Well, I think I'm going to have to start the game all over again. I was snatched by a giant hand and I'm in some strange place. The problem is I have to run through poison water to get to what looks like the only way out. That way out is blocked by a huge spider boss and I have 0 health potions and 0 bullets. I can't use hunters mark because it just takes me back to the start of the level and a lift I found at the bottom also only takes me back to the start of the level.
Am I missing something because I've now had about 15 attempts and it's not looking good.

Finally got my hand on this.....fucking AH MAY ZING.... although having a Dark Souls background allowed me to jump right into it and not have to go through the general hour of learning Dark Souls took.... Got surprisingly far, up to the second boss
So it seems that all the boss fight areas will be great for PVPing, just went through videos. Most of them have flat land and wide and open. If people can get their characters together it might be real fun to focus on PVPing in most of these boss areas. I'm still in love with the moon lake.

Oh I've been meaning to ask. Can you have multiple save files? I've been afraid of starting a new game to help out a buddy because I don't want to overwrite my game or something.

It's pretty clear that Sony wanted this out before the end of the fiscal year, while the game still needed some time for a good polish. I hope the patches will correct the biggest problems like the load times and the bugs. Game is amazing and it could be even better.

It's like the only nextgen-exclusive game I give a shit about, I'm actually kind of dreading when I finish it cause I don't think there's anything else on PS4 that will pique my interest until Metal Gear.

Ludwigs blade at +5 together with my STR / Skill lvl is doing serious business now. STR scaling is now at B and Skill at C
Are there charts out which show how the scaling of the weapons change with leveling them up? Want to see how far the saw and ludwig go in terms of STR and Skill > Edit: yeah, fextralife wiki has the charts for the weapons. Ludwigs only goes to B STR, B Skill
50 hours in & I only beat six bosses & the first chalice dungeon, this game is beautiful, I can't stop exploring, so far I've re-visited all the areas after every boss, it was pretty cool, I was also helping out other players, but I think I'm lagging behind everyone else, should I accelerate my playthrough?
I'm having fun either way but I want the scythe sooooooo baaaaad, all the dex weapons suck in this game, everything about the twin blade is awesome except for damage & range, it's awesome to use but so useless functionally.
I guess From's idea is that skill gets possibly the best weapon in the game
the scythe
, but can only be accessed in NG+, while strength gets the early cool weapons, but nothing extra special for NG+ (I think?).
I was avoiding spoilers like a plague, but unfortunately I was possibly spoiled on twitter regarding arcane
that there are pseudo-spells that scale with arcane
I just beat him after dying probably 15 times. Best strategy for the last phase is constantly try to run/dash to the side/back of him and keep swinging. Aggression in close proximity seemed to work best.
I beat the first two bosses of the Chalice Dungeon. My question, though, is that Chalice dungeon the default one? Do I have to make another one to create a randomly generated Chalice Dungeon, and how many floors do they have?
