I also don't get why ppl say BB is the easiest of them all.

Sure, ppl who played DeS,DaS,DaS II are going to be more trained in souls games even if the mechanics changed a bit. But i think that people who play BB for the first time have it harder compared to the other games.

Other games have shields where you can hide behind and survive a lot of encounters with doing little offensive action. Can't do this in BB

Other games had magic and bows to cheese 50 % of the enemies from far away. Starting DeS with Royal and the harry potter soul arrow made the game and bosses incredible more easy (Flamelurker is a joke with soul arrow).

Good players played the souls games only two-handed, rolling and doging a lot - no wonder that they breeze through BB, because the mechanics empower exactly this.

Edit: gah, my english is even worse than usual. 01:36 am here and i should go to sleep. This game -_-

Nah, you made a good point. I typically played magic and ranged in DeS & DaS and there was definitely an adjustment period for me. I'm finally getting comfortable with melee, watching the enemies and bosses and rolling and countering at the right time. I was getting pretty frustrated but I pounded on BSB and VC just now. Feeling like my skill levels are creeping their way up.

Whoa I just went back where the little girl asks about her mom. Now her sibling is there asking if I've seen the sister and that she wears a big white ribbon. Whoaaaa

Also has it been discovered why we are hunting? Like what is the main lore.

Ludwig's Holy Blade worth buying? Does it scale better with strength or skill?

In my opinion it is the best weapon in the game. It scales best with str or arcane (go figure). Amazing, it made me forget that I had a threaded cane.

I've killed 10 bosses, but I still don't know how to open the gate next to the Clinic, at the very beginning of the game.

Anyone help me out?

There is a cave in I think the first area of forbidden woods. You should find a cavern with a lake of poison with three giants roaming. Dangerous place. On the opposite side of the cavern from where you entered, there is a path that should lead you to a very long ladder. This leads to the cemetary next to the clinic. You can unlock the gate from there. Its also where you can fi d the rear entrance to the clinic. Good luck!

Think I just messed up a quest again.
So I talked to crow lady, and got the event to spawn in Tomb of Odeon. I did a few charge attacks to help crow lady fight the hunter, but she died. She was supposed to live if I wanted to get another gesture right?

This game can be as hard or easy as you make it. I've cooped the last few bosses then went back and help others beat them to gain insight and grind levels. Good for guys like me that don't like getting wrecked constantly.

Is there anything in the
Lecture Hall/Academy
area I should look for? Can I get to this second floor?. I found the key and opened that door but it didn't seem to take me up there.

IIRC The hunt was formed to cull those infected with the beast plague but it's clear that many lose the way and it's certainly more complicated by the time we become a hunter.

This game is soooo much larger then I ever expected. When I feel like I'm hitting the end point it just expands out into another vast area. Such a satisfying game.

Just killed Rom the spider. Discovered there was a back area into the clinic. My mind is being blown.

There's 2 closed door that has been bothering me for some time now.
1 is on the top of the Medical Church Workshop. The 2nd is with the room full of jars next to the Giant with the Ball and Chains.

Man, just beat the
Blood-starved Beast
. So I have an issue with this one. He has that one attack that basically
offs you in one hit, the jump maul + poison
. Took me way too many tries due to just this one attack. I probably got him down to 10% health only to get
one shotted
about 4 times. Silly. So I farmed some to bring my vitality up to survive long enough after the attack so I can use an antidote + two potions. Then he went down.

It's the only negative I have had so far in Bloodborne aside from technical issues and some odd design choices. I really shouldn't have to grind for
one attack
, it hadn't been an integral operation up to that point. And I beat the hell out of him aside for it. Maybe I'm missing some shake off tip, not sure. I also know the concept of "don't get hit" but I would prefer a little more balance here. I shouldn't lose a pretty good chunk of time for
one attack
, strategies against it or not. Also beat him straight up, cane + counters only, which is what I try to do unless the boss is ridic.

Still waiting for the lore thread to show up :(

I need this thread to pop up fast. Such good lore in this game.

Also I want to know if there is any ending or anything where you can just have a new day after the hunt rather than just starting all over. Meh, maybe the last plus in NG could do this. Would be amazing.

Wow, V
icar Amelia
is destroying me. I got close to beating her earlier with a co-op summon but we both got taken out when she was at 25% health. Any tips on beating this boss?

Okay so how do I get up to the Gatling Guy?
After you go over the first bridge (still out of range of the gatling) keep right. There is a way down which goes through a broken building. Go from cover to cover and be carful, there are some ambushes. This way will lead you to a ladder, up the tower to the gatling gun.
And then .... youarealreadydead.jpg.

as you approach the area where he first sees you, once you get to the bottom of those stairs (before he initially sees you) head immediately to the right, work your way towards where he's at staying behind cover, then just run until you're at the bottom of the building he's at. climb the ladder and be prepared for a fight

It shakes its head a bit before that one-shot attack. Generally it always does it once it jumps away from you when it's weak.

Fire/lightning paper. What weapon are you using and what level is it? She went down pretty fast to my level 5 threaded cane.

You need a key from a later area for the 1st. No idea for the second. Been wondering about that one as it's pretty much the only thing I haven't done yet, besides chalice dungeons.

Number 1 needs a key found in the second half of the game. 2 can't be opened as far as I know

Is the key for the door in the healing church workshop in that area? If not I'll just keep exploring the three areas I have open to me right now.

The key is in
the unseen village when you have to go to it later in the game. It's in a hidden area that you get to from a drop between some railing near the spot with the laser.

Yup.
One of the easiest platinum game ever.
You can get 90% of the trophies in one game, and 10% in NG mode.

One of the reasons why npc quest were never a huge thing for me since there was no need to do them much other than getting certain items. But seeing that there are a variety of outcomes that will never be remarked on by a reward of some kind of reward but an emotional outcome is really quite something for me, so i am not done with this game until i understand what is going on in the world in greater detail.

So, Endurance.
I'm using the large hammer quite a bit, and even with that weapon I don't feel like I run into many stamina problems. I mean, you don't have a shield and that's mostly what used to make stamina so important. So I haven't been putting many points into it, but having played so much Dark Souls I feel like I should be putting points into it, it's like a reflex.

You mean The Cathedral Ward?
beat BSB.

Ah. I was hoping you weren't going to say that. He's the guy giving me hassle right now and he's already cost me an R2 trigger. Almost scared to fight him in case I accidentally wreck the other one. Guess I need to look up a strategy or something cause I'm getting manhandled at stage 2.
