Bloodborne |OT2| Praise The Moon

So how does co op work exactly. Can a player jump in with you at any point and fight along side with you, or is it at specific points like a boss fight?

I'm sad because I spend only 20 hours on a game, there was no indication of the ending coming close, no climax, no increase in difficulty, no sign of story progression, no nothing. Basically, I killed a random boss. Went back to the hub world, talked to an NPC, and the game ended. I'm disgusted.

It's not the end of the world. You can do NG+ and explore around. You missed a TON of stuff.

Yep. One of the many optional/hidden places that you can easily pass up. Might actually be the most obscure one in a Souls game so far, although I'd have to think about that. Neat stuff. Not many devs would deign to put in content that most people would pass up, and that's sad.

Just got there (
to the real Yahar'gul) and realized my stroll in the park is over. The game just did a This is Spinal Tap on me and turned to whole thing to 11. No moment to catch a breath.
But it doesn't really seem to be optional.

The venue was to suspicious to not be something else, had you walked in another direction before that you would have more to go on.
But what ending did you get?

you dont get it, every souls game I exlore everything, but I never in a million years expected I was even 20 hours close to the ending. I thought I was barely half way through and just killing bosses. I had plans of grinding, exploring, etc. All of a sudden i'm talking to an NPC and the game ends for me, forever. No option to return... gone forever. I would never, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, end my playthrough this early. I wanted to explore every little thing... but much to be my disgusting surprise, it ended that early....

like... wtf.... I PROMISE, I'm not trying to downplay the game, i'm just blown away and shocked... like... omg. What?!

Basicaly:

I killed Mergo's Wet Nurse at the top of a tower
. After that, I went back to Dreams Refuge, and it was on fire. I talked to an NPC in the back, picked a convo option and the game ended.... like WHAT THE FUCK.
 
So, anyone know why I can't dress up my messengers? And why all the items I found for the messengers seem to have disappeared from my inventory in NG+? Is this why I can't use the stump at the back of the church in the dream?
 
I'm quite pissed that I *MASSIVE SPOILER*
killed the nurse in the clinic and I can no longer get the final ambilical cord.

Guess I'll do it on NG+

Things get ended like awakening from a bad dream but you have the choice to live through the nightmare now.
 
Totally fucked with bsb. No firepaper left and I can't buy it. Zero souls and out of all my consumables. Looks like I'll need at least 3 hours grinding to get back what I need, level up then lose it all again...
 
Every time I enter a new area in this game I'm blown away by how good it all looks and usually have to take a few minutes to look around. Just got to (post 4th boss spoilers)
Hemwick Charnel Lane and this area looks awesome and those dancing...witches(?) look freaky as hell

He did what he always does, with a snarky remark. I can see him
restig on the wall above the ledge where he knocks you down, but I wasn't able to interact with him.

Except for the leveling part, at which you'll just beat him without needing any consumables other than vials.
 
I'm getting my ass kicked in pretty much all the Nightmare areas. Probably best I go explore Cainhurst Castle and level myself up some more before I tackle that.

The end is pretty specific
in the narrative you have ended your journey so the hunter couldn't walk around like that so it would be jarring to see the ending make no impact to what you did
, you need to do the stuff before ending it

Nah man just run the trip to Amelia a couple of times and kill the giants / mobs up the stairs and you will have 20 in a few runs. Plus around 10k echoes.

Takes like 5 mins once you get it down
