Amy

was an amazing fight.

You simply need to take a different perspective with this fight.Feels very unique and fulfilling.

But man its so good.

Encounter 1: When you are taken by the Amygdala to the Lecture Hall, he is the one who says "Oh Amygdala, have pity.. and subsequently is hidden behind the door.

Encounter 2:In Nightmare Frontier, take the lower tunnel in front of the poison lake, go through that to where the giants are on the rocks. Kill the giants, open the shortcut (by pushing down a stone monolith to make bridge). Then take the bridge and explore the high area about the poison river. He can then be seen clinging to the side of the rocks near where he pushed you down.

Encounter 3: In the Lecture hall 2nd floor, the giant in the corner with fire hands is next to a ladder down. That takes you to the room where he waits behind the door talking to you. Exhaust his dialog to get an item–there is a choice given to you, I chose "I'm not angry at all" and got a good item. Not sure what you get if you do claim to think ill of him."

Amazing.

I got the rune from him and killed him. "That was uncharitably done my friend".

Finally beat Amelia. But I'm still getting owned by the mini boss
hunters
. Wtf am I just supposed to avoid them or am I doing something wrong where I can't do them any damage? Just

Bought this on the weekend, it's brilliant. I'd forgotten how tight and deliberate the combat is in a souls game, what's doing me in at the moment is a lack of patience. I keep rushing in trying to get 'one more hit' and it generally my undoing. When I slow down it all clicks into place, and its just fantastic. I'd also forgotten the heart racing joy of beating a tough enemy.

The environment is also brilliant, love the art style and the visuals and also the ability to get hopelessly lost with no hand holding, to really explore without having a clue if you're going in the right direction.

I'm pretty bad at it mind, I've died a few bazillion times already and I'm only just at the cleric beast. Took me maybe 3hrs to get there, ha ha, so not quite as bad as 12....

Really want to play more, it gets under your skin.

Yeah it is after you have gone up the stairs. Slightly to the left in the snowy area with all these fucking try hard jumping enemies. God those were annoying. I do not look forward to fighting them again in my NG+. And yeah there is no way back from the boss area lamp. Sucks.

Um that latter is not for you though I think? Or will it trigger the stage coach cutscene again?

That one is for
Alfred. You give it to him, go back to Cainhurst, and then go back to where you first met him to complete his quest.

I just finished them.

Instead of taking the stairs, go on a roof earlier. You can see the gun one. Drop down, sneak up, charge attack and visceral attack. If you stay back, you can fight her without aggroing lightning mace. If you can't handle her, spring back up, wait for them to get back and position and repeat. When gunner is dead, sneak up and visceral lightning too. She should be easy to beat with just her.

Congrats. I just can't beat Amelia. Nope. Not alone, not with randoms helping. (Summoning worked as I removed password.) Okay, one more try with different weapon and I'm done.

Oh god...

(continuation of the little girl sidequest)

After fighting Rom, I decided go back to her house... and her older sister answered the window asking if I saw her little sister. D:

Do I give her the red messenger ribbon?

This game man. ;_;

How did you get the messenger ribbon?

That one is for
Alfred. You give it to him, go back to Cainhurst, and then go back to where you first met him to complete his quest.

Well yeah I know that but the Dominator hasn't lit up the lamp when you first enter Cainhurst Castle and he wanted to know if there is a way back. That was what I was replying to.

How do you even sneak up on people in this game seems like they auto Aggro whenever you get within a few feet even if the baddie ain't even looking at you. -_-

Swap out one of your runes for the +200 frenzy resist rune and then run by it.

Thanks man! Turns out the frenzy resist rune, plus the grave guard mask and regular hunter clothes give me enough frenzy resistance to not even get damaged by those guys if I kill then fast. Thankfully they are pretty weak.

Now that I know how to deal with it, I kinda think the concept of frenzy is cool.

Walk, don't run. And judge the distance yourself. You dont have to be right up on them, just close enough that your charged R2 will hit.

BB isn't a Souls game–judging it by the loot system in the Souls games is silly. BB has tons of neat things absent from Souls.

One thing I see with BB so far is that every weapon I've tried is a viable weapon, compared to the souls series where only a handful of weapons are actually good to great.

Very slightly push the stick up. The character will walk very slowly and make the least amount of sound. And keep some distance before the back stab.

Oh. Well he can just teleport to the boss' lamp so he should be fine.

Nothing but rage here and it is all thanks to Amelia.

stay on the attack and hit her from behind if possible...I didnt do it in the video, but if you hit from behind some times you get a riposte opportunity noise and I have seen people get massive damage from hitting her head in that situaion. I upgraded my vitality and endurance a tonne by farjing the pigs in the nightmare place. Also got my axe to plus 5 with good bloodstones on it.

If I use the gaf PvE pw, do I just get preferably matched with otherbgaffers or only matched with other gaffers? In other words, are people still using it and can at be a hurdle to finding other players?

Poll:

How many Insights do you guys have on your first playthrough?

I'm watching a streamer basically 1 try every boss I had a problem with and noticed something. The bosses had fewer moves and less aggressive than when I fought them. I usually run around with 30 Insights and the streamer has less than 15.

Having to farm for vials is dumb, there I said it. It completely halts the pace of the game and is a step backwards from the flask system they had in Dark Souls 1 and 2.

Like, the Cleric Beast for instance??

Yup.

I think I was over 70 by the end. I lost a few and spent a few.

Agreed. Wish they had the estus flask system instead, but this game puts me on edge so much with its boss fights and tougher gauntlets, that farming for vials almost feels like a nice break from the action.

Walk really slow and get up close enough for your weapon range. And have them locked on

What the heck. I swear I've tried this before on other enemies. So yeah I just killed one by dropping behind him from above. Sigh...lol. Thanks guys. Now to try and deal with this stupid thunder dude.

I know how you feel. I spent all night and finally beat her. Best advice I can give is to stay close to her and try and get to her backside. Only back off if you need to use a blood vial.

Thanks. I think I know what I'm supposed to do but still end up dying from her sweeping attacks that often combo up.

Also, need item help. Cathedral Ward.

From Chapel lamp. Go through front door. Kill gravekeeper. Up stairs. 2 gravekeepers. Through gate. There's a pickup in an unreachable doorway. What is it and how do I get it?
