Super spoiler about a game mechanic
I'm really surprised NO ONE has figured out how to do beastform yet. Starting to think there might be a world tendancy thing going on ala Demon souls.

So is it actually confirmed that it's in the game?
Turning into a beast I mean?

Id like to say
Vicar Amelia
is one of the best bosses in this series.

That soundtrack
That design
That
healing

Reminds me of the Old King Allant fight in demons.

It wasnt extremely hard but the fight gave me chills.

Use the big pillar to your advantage so you don't get hit by the fireballs. I tried going for the fireball shadow and the katana shadow. For katana shadow try using gun parry. Make sure you are aware of the location of the other two shadows, especially the candle one since it can one shot you in close range.

I cut down both fireball and katana one around half, and went fully for fireball first. After killing fireball shadow I killed katana, and next is one v one against the last shadow.

Thanks.

Is Ludwig's Rifle a good weapon?

Well in the message making "Beastform" is a word option. There's the beasthood stat. There's runes that give you longer transformation time. There's the pellets that give you a bar that fills up as you do damage, but no one has been able to fill it all the way. So ya I'm confident it is, either that or the biggest troll ever. There's also that weird option for the blank firing gun, that references tendancies...

So, I think I'm gonna get captured by SackBoy to get to the
Unseen Village
as well as farm more of those SackBoys for Twin Blood Shards. Gonna get my Holy Blade and Hunter's Axe to +6 at least, then also grab that sexy looking Yahagul armor set.

I said I filled the bar all the way. Zero change.

Maybe I need low insight...

The game had been out for almost a week. I am surprised it hasn't been found yet.

Reposting from last page but has anyone been able to get the rapid poison effect to proc when using their Chikage? I boosted it to mid 40s with blood gems and have tested it on enemies that are able to take a lot of hits before dying, and nothing. I wonder if it just isn't working properly and needs to be patched.

Oh man.

Cathedral Ward, at night, light snowfall. It's so beautiful. I want to live there. Okay, maybe not for obvious reasons.

Repost because I'm curious...

On another note...I'm pretty much at the end of the game (still NG) and was doing a couple quick vial runs before bed. I decided to hit my bell to see if anyone needed help with FG. Of course I'm way overleveled so I really didn't expect it to work. However, I was summoned by someone on NG+ (Dropped almost 19k echoes and caught me off guard because I was expecting faceroll).

Was a bit confused so tried it again, and yup...same thing two more times.

This normal?

I stopped using it, didn't seem to do crap.

Mine too, the whole story around her is :(. Those screams she does are just so pitifully sad and full of grief. Her whole design is awesome too. Ya her mechanics are straight forward, but that's why I love it... classic no-gimmick souls boss.

Maybe they made it so summoning for co op just checks for the same level rules and restrictions as normal but doesn't check for NG / NG+? Ie. You said you are way over leveled, if you are high level in NG you could get matched with people in NG+ who are still within your level range.

Yeah...seems that way.

I'm not overleveled for NG, just for that boss in NG. I guess the system just pairs by zone and level regardless of which play through you're on.

Easy way to farm echoes I guess...

Well I was talking about Old King Allant but she is awesome too.

To the guy that said 'Tower Knight'. I remember being so intimidated when I first saw him. Amazing boss. These games man...

First souls game, it's great so far and a little easier than people made it out to be, but maybe because they hyped it up to be the hardest series ever created i was ready.
Does the spider thing from the beta still exist?
Can someone please answer in spoilers as i was very disappointed it wasn't where i was expecting it to be...

Just got to Old Yharnam and man... that fucker with the gatling gun got me. There are treasures that require falling down to get them but I'm not too sure. I'll try after leveling up a bit so that it doesn't matter if I die.
Edit: I'm playing right after coming back home from the bar... maybe it's not a good idea and I should get some rest but man! The game keeps calling my name!

I'm confused. You post the image freely for everyone to see but you want the answer in a spoiler tag?

Just killed
Rom
, but i have no idea what to do next, any tips?
Well, killing
Rom changes an area you might have already been in before.
But the game should have transported you to a new area after you killed Rom anyways right?

I cheesed that bastard as soon as I got up to the ladder where he was perched. I strafed around him so that when I shot him a few times, he flinched off the ledge and fell to his death. You get a badge for defeating him as well.

This game. I have used around six hours fighting Amelia. Again out of vials and now also out of fire paper. I don't even.

I started fighting this bitch at 8pm and stopped at 5am because my wife got up for work and my ass is starting to drag. I have a save with 20 blood vials and two fire papers on a usb stick plugged into my ps4. When she kills me with less than ten vials I restore the backup to the ps4 hd. I got real tired of farming echoes to buy blood vials every time she handed my ass to me lol.

I have a love-hate relationship with that boss.
It's so awesome how it feels like she is suffering and it makes you wonder what her story is. If only I could beat her.

You have nothing to worry about

I'm a bit confused regarding a couple of lanterns a bit passed the third boss.
I got kidnapped by this one guy outside the Cathedral lantern and got taken to the cell world thingy. I left that place with a lantern I found there. I can't travel back to that place via the Hunter's Dream. The kidnapper also doesn't bring me back to that place. How do I get back there if I'm even supposed to go there?
I also came across the hidden area the A
bandoned Old Workshop
which also had a lantern I can't travel back to. What's up with that?

The game will take you there as you progress but you can still go there. There are three headstones in the hunters dream. I think the one closest to the main door in the dream is the one to get back to the
cell area.

try tombstones next to the one you were using. There are more than one tombstones that lets you travel.

hah i'm not the only one! i think you're just not looking at the second gravestone in hunter's dream?

I'm a bit stuck and can't find a way to go forward, any help/hint would be appreciated.

I've killed
Cleric Beast, Gascoigne, Blood-starved Beast, Vicar Amelia, the Witch, Eileen and Henryk (these probably aren't progression)
. All the places I've visited seem to be dead ends. I've
jumped to the bottom of the Healing Church Workshop where I found a Blood Gem and a shortcut back up and gone past the two hunters near Amelia but there's just a big room with a stupid invisible monster killing me.
I'm probably just missing something stupid but I'd rather not run around for hours trying to find it..

can the
beast claw
be found in the main game or is it a chalice dungeon exclusive weapon?

also, holy fuck (chalice dungeon boss)
abhorrent beast
is destroying me, hardest encounter so far for sure and I've finished the main game.

Finally done with all schoolstuff til the autumn. Time to get down to the real buisness, hate reading this thread and seeing how far everyone progressed. Im just at the gauntlet gun place now, wonder how many hours it will take to kill that beastboss when I accually find the way:/

Go back to the big circular courtyard with the two church giants near cathedral ward and look around.

Edit: To be more clear if you go to the Grand Cathedral lamp post and just keep walking down the stairs you'll reach the circular courtyard.

Yea, I'm stuck as well

currently killed:

- Father
- Vicar Amelia
- Shadow os Yharnam
- Rom
- One Reborn
- Cleric Beast
- Blood Starved Beast
- Witch of Hemwick
- Darkbeast Paarl

Where should I be going to now?

I assume that with higher insight you actually can see the
invisible thing that grabs you in the air and kills you / almost kills you? last time it happened I saw a purple shape, more than the first time it happened

I traveled back to hunters dream and cashed in the blood echoes right away so i didn't see where i was.

its the
circular room with a slab in the middle and a locked door (now open) via the path to the right side of the amelia cathedral, where you fought 2 hunters

any tips on how to get bloodstone chunks from chalice dungeons? I'm already at NG+ but don't want to play up to the point where they start dropping in the main game.
