i can give you all a concrete example

on the way to father g, those two werewolfing kind of things

i get klled by the one with the spear so much, i try and dodge/evade it but i always get caught by it and it kills you in like three hits

i would say maybe 1/3 of the times i go to that boss, that one guy kills me

am i supposed to be struggling this much with this game?

Pick your fights, you can walk right past them and through the fog to Father G

The road to father g is easy as hell. You can avoid all fight and just run to his area.

Well the 2 werewolves you don't even have to fight right? I'd you want to kill them for viles, sneak up behind the first one and then do a backstab (charge attack then r1). The other guy you can stun lock pretty easily

1) That's not the games fault. You just suck. I parry kill those two easily every time I pass that area.

2) You are not forced to engage them. They just stand by the fire with their backs to you. You can sneak up on them to kill them or just slowly walk on by.

rofl
I just died as I was getting summoned, so I was teleported to their world only to immediately die and get sent back

also a question regarding the clinic or chapel
so I sent the old lady to the chapel and she appeared fine, spoke to the son that gives me the music box and sent him to the chapel as well but hes not appeared yet? does he not go?
also are there any other people in that part of the world to send?

There's a s
hady guy, but can't remember how I got him on my first character..he pretty much tells you to piss off

There's a P
rostitute who'll give you her blood (Healing item that increases Stamina regen)

There's a P
riest lady who also gives her blood (Healing item + Heal over time)

Pretty sure the little girl
/boy that you get the music box from dies no matter what you do..If you tell her to go to the Chapel you can go downstairs and kill the giant pig and get a red ribbon, if you give her the brooch her sister will come to the door saying she's gone apparently.

You can just run by them, you know. Don't have to fight everything. I liked killing them since you can autokill the first guy with a R2 charge to visceral, and then just wail on the second guy right after and they drop shards.

After Amelia the new area I went in feels really easy. I might have overleveled a bit while preparing myself to beat her. Oh well, I'm sure I'll end up in a new roadblock sooner or later. Until that happens, feels good man.

If anyone is intrested, this is how I finally beat Amelia:

I changed tactics from trying to get one or two fast hits into hitting her with two handed charged strikes just after dodging her swing. You have just the time to strike her and she staggers, so you can actually hit twice if you have the endurance.

very true

maybe I shouldnt be walking around with 22 insight >_>

Haha when i realised difficulty scaled with insight i spent my insight at some junk at the insight shop plus using the beckoning bell then immediately using the silencing shot.

but then i realised i liked some of that extra difficulty so i tried getting my insight up again. Lol.

well its the layout and how long it is. both true, but I enjoyed it

OH SHIT theres actually a second lantern here? thats the first time in a zone in bloodborne isnt it? thats how FUCKED this zone is, even miyazaki knew it :p

Wut?
There is a 2nd lantern over there?
I just use the shortcut from the 1st one, and run down to the boss.
It takes like 20 sec.
Where is this 2nd lantern?

BSB down.

I went back to my first strategy of using the transformed Axe for distance and stocked a few antidotes. Beat him on the second try after so many failed attempts yesterday.

Am I the only one who used the elevator shortcut to father g? After that it's just crossing the bridge and avoiding the trap and encounters. It's a very easy route.

A) you can easily run past them
B) walk behind the closest one full R2 on the back. Visceral finish. Then dodge the next. Slash slash slash. It really isnt that hard. Pay attention to attack patterns and wind ups.

I have most of the weapons at this point, and doing a lot of co-operative play confirms pretty much everyone is using the Holy Blade or the Axe. The sword has the better 1h moveset but the axe has the better 2h moveset, so its not clear which is better. A lot of the bosses become a lot easier once you learn to do nothing but charge your 2h axe for stupid amounts of damage. The 2h Axe charge attack is the single best attack in the game. The Holy Blade trivializes a lot of enemies since you can simply poke them to death from a safe distance.

1) i mean, i didn't say that it was the game's fault, i said that i find those two guys ridiculously tough and i was asking if i was supposed to. uncalled for and rude, really.

2) i will skip them then.

'R2 charge to visceral'?

I am not sure if my controller is playing up but sometimes I am having trouble walking forward, it keeps stuttering (not framerate). It's weird!

I wonder if my controller is dying.

By that point you shouldn't be finding them tough at all if you've been taking the time to learn the mechanics.

You see an enemy with its back to you, totally oblivious that's your cue to walk, not run up to it and insta kill it with a visceral attack.

Or like others have said, just walk by. Having those two kill you 30% of the time is just strange.

Where do you get ammo for the cannon? I assumed it would use multiple bullets per shot or something

It just uses up 10 QS Bullets, so you only get 2 shots unless you can find 5 more from enemies since you can't get more than 5 temporary ones. It's great for groups of enemies though.

I mean in the zone Im at,
Yahar'gul Unseen Village
, not the
Forbnden Woods

holy shit I just cheesed my way through the 3 hunters in the worst / best way possible. That was some grade A cheese, the really smelly kind.

Ran down to my jail cell, locked my self in and killed them through the bars lol

edit: oh what the fuck, the old lantern doesnt work anymore :(

Why does Shareplay not work on Bloodborne (netherlands)?

'The host's game screen cannot be viewed because the game has not been released in your country or region'

Huh... I killed the final boss, I think?
Big blob thing, The One Reborn. No cinematic though I guess there's another to slay

I'm now in
Nightmare Menris, good place to start?
The boss there killed me in the 2nd phase and I accidentally lost 70k echoes >.<

'R2 charge to visceral'?

Yeah, Ok.

You say you've played every game in the series and complain how frustrating and broken they are, yet haven't even taken the time to learn some basic mechanics.

Stop bitching and start learning.

Not saying the games are perfect. I'm all for discussing legitimate grievances. But your posts these past few pages are anything but.

Dude when you kill the final boss, you immediately start NG+, so no you didn't...

That not the final boss...like not even close!

it's the one with the spear. the other one is easy. the spear one just fucks me up.

i wish i could show you all how i play this game, then maybe it would be possible for you to tell me what i'm doing wrong :/

i mean i've said that i find them frustrating, that i don't understand the mechanics, that maybe i lack the patience...i don't quite see how any of these things are me saying that the games themselves are 'frustrating and broken' rather than me just finding them frustrating because i don't 'get' them?

In Dark Souls 2 you could level up your healing items. Is there something like that in this game? I just beat blood starved beast and I havent leveled my vials at all.

Use the PS4's inbuilt streaming? I'm sure a couple of GAFers would be more than willing to give some helpful pointers.

there are runes you can equip to your character that increase the usefulness and count of potions you use. Same goes for bullets and you can find runes that help you heal in other ways.

Also dont forget Pebbles...if you have problems with some ennemy type and there's 2 together, especially if they dont see you, even if they are close a pebble only attracts one toward you most of the time...pull him down the steps slowly in the larger area ;)

You can
get a rune that increase health restored by vials

Edit: beaten
Edit 2: fuck
nightmare frontier

I've suddenly got a little pale blue-green box with an up arrow on it underneath my HP bar and to the right of my stamina bar. What's up with that?

welp getting to the
Old Reborn
with just 6 vials wasnt the best idea :P
