tips for
Old Reborn
? Ive only tried him once and I got there with 6 vials and on half health, but at this point I rather just have a idea what to do

Hidden Village is getting the better of me...

It was for me too, there's a trick to it though depending on what you're there for...
If you just want to head straight for the boss, you can run past all enemies and hit the 2nd lantern with ease. The only one tricky part is the timing of the first Cthulhu laser

right around the corner, more or less. At the bottom of the windmill, there's an elevator.

edit: I might be misremembering, sorry!

You're a liitle over halfway to the shortcut. There's a bunch of creepy new enemies in the next area with poison attacks. Tread carefully.

Cheers both, thought it'd be around here somewhere. Got wrecked by the creepy dude.

Edit: Lift currently inoperable, hmmmm

I somehow missed the C
leric
B
east
, and found him at level 57.

His attacks barely did damage, and I killed him super quickly. Reading here, I think that might have been for the best though, seeing how hard people find the fight!

when you get
kitnapped
is there a boss in that area?

I'm at the lamp al the way up he round stairs and imo I found everything outside.
but I could only open 1 door a the checkpoint.

and what is with the crying lady in the
basement
?

OK, Loaded up my wallet with enough funds to purchase this baby when i get home after work, only thing that's bugs me is i will be playing it offline, PS+ expired and i don`t know if its worth investing 50$ renewal for this.

Good advice but be aware there is key in that area that lets you access a new area and 2 optional bosses

Yes there is boss in that area. The door at the stairs.Follow it and you'll find prison cells.Follow the end of them and you'll find the boss.

You can just take a 3 month sub too, it's $15 I think.

I've been using the saw cleaver and levelling strength too, I picked up the kirkhammer and levelled it up but it still does less damage then the cleaver per hit. Is there a reason for this? Is there a better strength weapon I should be looking for?

Is there a shortcut near me in the
Forbidden Woods
I've just made it past the canon.

There is
one right after the cannon area, yes
.

It just uses up 10 QS Bullets, so you only get 2 shots unless you can find 5 more from enemies since you can't get more than 5 temporary ones. It's great for groups of enemies though.

It's also great for one shotting people in pvp. Doing that to people who are going to the nightmare for the first time is just troll mode extreme.

Ludwig's Holy Sword is supposed to scale with arcane, right? Increasing it in the level up screen doesn't seem to do anything with it.

Every weapon in the game has an arcane scaling stat, but it will not actually do any extra damage with it unless it has some form of arcane damage already on the weapon. A couple of weapons have that natively on them. The reason it is on other weapons is for when you put gems that change your attack to a different type.

I miss the Estus flask system. Personally I think DkS1 did it best.

I still think it is a good combo of both the previous systems. A limit on the max you can have on you so you can't have too many, and them not being unlimited so you still have to think about their usage/get punished for over use.

god, just beat father g.

die in a bin fire you shapeshifting horse fucker

I'll take a look soon...Just trying to clear this goddamn bridge of these goddamn S
inging
B
rains
..Most frustrating enemies I've come across.

without looking at these spoilers i'm going to assume it's 'shit bitches'

[edit] and of course that would be awesome of you.

I'm trying to explore too much I think. I'll just find the boss and get out of here for the moment.

how hard is the game?

in comparison to Dark Souls, etc?

i love the setting, art, everything about it but it's just the difficulty level that's keeping me away.

hard games are not fun :(

Yeah I just think it's daft that it's a consumable and doesn't refill at the lamps.

If you're in the US, remember to use the 10% off coupon to save some money!

The code is LQ8ERDQH3A. You can put the savings towards a 3 month ps plus sub.

Didn't have any problems with the
Cleric Beast
and actually beat
Father G
on my first try. Just got the tower in
Old Yharnam
with the
sniper guy
on top and he's kicking my ass, which is terribly frustrating. Any tips?

God I hate that little section in the new section after you kill BsB and you have to slowly fall on those wooded planks all the way down, died 3 times now lol...thank god its fast to get back there...

imo way harder.
I can beat dark souls with a character at starting level but this game, especially the beginning was tough as hell.

I just got 2 people in and we gang raped him :)
i had bigger trouble with the guy at the bottom of the ladder.

damn it now the
lady I saved from the jail
is also dead, that
homeless fucker
is going on a rampage isnt he?

Okay so I just got
kidnapped
by a guy with a sack.

This area seems pretty tough compared with Old Yharnam - should I press on or get the hell out?

just use cover!?
reach him with no problem and then beat him first try.

Weapon scaling changes per the weapons level. Eventually the Kirkhammer will do a lot more damage since it winds up with A strength scaling. The best strength weapons are Ludwigs Holy Blade or the Axe, which are probably the games best weapons overall. Try both, I think the Axe is a little better, but most people (more than half the players in the game from what I can tell) use the Holy Blade. The Kirkhammer is a waste of time tbh, its 2h moveset is rubbish.

Old Reborn
? Ive only tried him once and I got there with 6 vials and on half health, but at this point I rather just have a idea what to do

First off, did you open all the shortcuts to him that make the run simple?
The main one is using the teleporter to get to the higher area to then drop down on the elevator that isn't functioning. When you drop down on it it will start working again and take you up to an even higher area that you started the zone at, near the first lantern in the zone. So you can just take that elevator from the first lantern to the teleporter that takes you near the end of the area on top of the overpasses and can just run across them to the ladder down on the other side of all those god damn crazy monsters on the path. The stop with the teleporter isn't where the elevator stops though, it's in the middle of the ride so you will have to walk off it when moving.

Anyway after that
I really have no idea. That boss was the easiest one in the game for me, I just stood at his mid section between two human legs that would kick and smashed over and over with my greatsword. I would take damage from the things above, but would just gain it back from attacking. Backed up to heal and get stamina every so often as well, but just went fast. After the fight I saw that there was ways up to where the things were up top so maybe you are suppose to kill them? IDK.

I don't know your level, but your likely not to tackle this area yet. If you look a little, there will be a lamp nearby.

Love my cane.. like sherlock meets kratos lol

Small hint. Don't click if you want to figure it out yourself.

Use torch to see more if you haven't. The last platform is hidden in dark.

Get the hell out! That's one of the last areas of the game and the enemies will wreck you. There's a lantern up the stairs two rooms over from where you spawn.
