so far the challice dungeons are disappointing, I've gone through about 20, and some of the later ones have been difficult, I've been very thorough but haven't had anything remotely worth the time I've put into it given to me.

Okay so how do you get the loot from shooting the (Old Yharnam enemy spoiler)
Gatling Gun Hunter
off the edge, again? There was some method people talked about where you let yourself die or turn off the game or something, I forget.

Anyone?

Exit and go back to the title screen, then load it up again. It should be on that platform.

Just sending a new request for those who have cleared the game, I'd like to know how many lanterns I'm missing (if any).

From left to right I have: :

Tombstone 1]
8 respawn points
Tombrstine 2]
7 respawn points
Tombstone 3]
6 respawn points
Tombstone 4]
12 respawn points

For Tombstone 1]
3 respawn points since I just got here
Tombstone 2]
6 respawn points
Tombstone 3]
6 respawn points
Tombstone 4]
11 respawn points
edit: mis read your post and had to reedit mine. Seems like I am missing some lamps still. Right up till the end :P

Die, restart the game or travel to hunters dream and back. Everything that resets enemies.

I beat the (first?)
hunter
in o
ld
y
arnham
on my first go. That was tough, especially with all that gunfire. I had no bullets either. Felt good though.

Have you been to the bottom level of the study hall? If not might be worth trying to get there

I had thought about that. But it was too late because my dumb ass had already gone through the door. It's stupid that you dont get a choice the moment you open it.

One down! (zero cocktails/oil/ammo used, 7 health vials)

Looking at this Level 100 build I might do after I finish this character playthrough. Parenthesis show their starting stat.

Cruel Fate (10): 100
  • Vitality (10): 50
  • Endurance (12): 20
  • Strength (10): 30
  • Skill (9): 30
  • Bloodtinge (5): 5
  • Arcane (14): 15

It will give me some weapon diversity (sorry no Katana though), and allow me to use some arcane spells.

Didn't fight the gatling gun hunter at all in Old Yarnham. After beating a much alter boss and coming into Old Yarnham from the back door...I actually talked to the hunter and he gave me a badge and a gesture.

He looked pretty intimidating.

umbilical cords question:

okay, so I really don't want to screw this up. Apparently, if you kill Iosefka BEFORE rom, you don't get one from her? Well I already did that, so thats one missed. However, I still have the prostitute girl alive as well as I never went to the old abandoned workshop. Lastly, I have to kill that wetnurse to get the other one. So I can still get three right? Do I have to do anything first before they show up, or can I screw those up the same way I did Iosefka?
As long as you don't have the nun with you in the cathedral, or the beggar from Forbidden Woods, your whore is safe. Go to the whore in the sewer right below the Cathedral Ward after you have seen the Wet Nurse.

I did with Dark Souls. Put 300 hours into that game and it took over a year to remove the HUD after I finished playing. That was a Panasonic G20.

Ouch, and yeah, I seriously wish there was an Opacity Slider or an option to just turn off Echoes/Insight. Thankfully, it's not too bad and won't take long to fade. There's not really any IR from HP/Energy, just some minor stuff from Echoes/Insight. Running the Disney WoW Pixel Flipper when ever I'm not using the TV to watch or play something helps a lot when a game like this comes up.

Can anyone give me a nudge in the right direction? With as few spoilers as possible, though, I've been avoiding guides and wikis.

I'm level 30, I just killed
blood-starved beast
but I did not kill
the gatling gun guy, because HOW THE FUCK DO YOU KILL HIM (I can't get him to fall off the roof, and I do piss damage to him), nor did I kill his annoying friend at the bottom of the tower.

Not sure where to go from here. Every path I've explored seems to lead to a dead end or locked door. Do I need to go back to somewhere?

Also, with regards to the Pthumerian Chalice Dungeon, how do I deal with
the glowing red enemies that keep respawning in the room after the pendulum traps?

Holy shit, that's crazy! Hahaha. Makes sense though narratively. He warns you.

Can anyone tell me in the
shadof of yharnam fight
if i kill the
caster
first do the other two do that stupid
big ass snake
spell?

yoooo that hunter in the cathedral is fucking haaard
and that's coming from someone who killed the hunter in lecture hall on the first try

I'm loving to play with the initial Hunter Axe? Should I spent my stones upgrading it, or should I use them to a stronger weapon?? Is there any stronger weapon, or they're all similar power wise?

Also, should I focus on Vit and Res and upgrade my weapon to do more damage, or should I upgrade STR aswell?

Someone please, help me on that!
Also, I have no clue on how can I get summoned by random players!

I'm really struggling with understanding some of the details of weapon stats. I don't know what thrust and blunt actually are, I don't know really what determines a str weapon and a skill weapon, I'm only relying on intuition about somethings but im not sure. I need your help blood gaf!

So... what exactly should I be buying on these e.lvl 4 runs?

I currently have 14k echoes and have no idea...

You know I said
Martyr Logarius
was my favourite boss the other day but I think it might actually be
Gerhnam
. That fight is just incredible; the setting, the music, the difficulty, and it perfectly encapsulates the games beautiful combat system.

Instantly should go only any list of best final bosses ever.
Yeah I know he's not the real final boss, I'm working on that!

Someone please, help me on that!

The Hunter Axe is a great weapon, go ahead and upgrade it - you'll get LOTS of upgrade materials. For Stats - I'd focus on Vitality and Endurance first, Str/Skill later. Weapon Upgrades are pretty cheap, so don't worry about having Echoes for that, you mostly just need the right stones.

To get summoned by other people you need the small bells. You can buy them from the upper vendor in the Dream once you have 10+ insight.

All weapons are viable and you get more than enough stones through the game to upgrade multiple weapons, except for the final upgrade stone. There's only one of those. Play around with weapons and just go with whatever move set you like.

If you go to the menu and quit the game and reload your save the loot will be there.

FYI: the game is made for you to just quit and then reload the save and start right back where you left off without respawning enemies.
Dang, didn't know that.
Did I miss some good loot?

Thanks a lot!! =)

My boss celebration post!

Woke-up this Morning and continued upon my exploration of Yarnham. Stumbled upon a bloodsoaked beast! Used up all my molotovs and fire paper in about 6 attempts on his life. Realized at the end of using all my goodies that he always swings with his right hand first - proceeded to dodge everyone of his attacks and bring him down with my lvl 16 hunter and a +3 hunter's axe. Went online whilst doing my morning business - googled this fella and found out the use of the blood cocktails. It was worth it though to bring him down mono-a-mono!!!

My heart is still pounding!

You mean the one for Eileen's quest? I just had the dude poison himself and I ran out the room and waiting for him to die lol.

how ? I brought him as low as 1 third of his HP but he keeps healing. Never seen him poison himself

Worth a shot though? She comes and helps right?

I don't know. Fight is fun and fast but I still havent beaten her.
If you talk about the other gal, shes half dead outside.

Streaming?
Nope! E.lvl 4 run will not be streamed because I know it'll make me play worse :p

If I speedrun today, I will stream :)
