Has anyone found a way to farm blood chunks?
If you have your big summoning bell equipped in your item slot you can always tell if a boss is going to trigger. It becomes grayed out and unusable when you get close too close to a boss area.

I've got two characters now.
Main PvE char = lvl 170, maxed out stats with the end-equipment that I want
Low level char = lvl 4, basically I'll be beating the game on the lowest possible level
In the future, I'll have
Main PvP char
Guns only char
would go right to the cathedral first. Boss is easy there and then the door to forest

Cool, I've already cleared the area just before the shallow water (since I fell into the area through a wooden ledge). Time to play it extra safe.
I killed the big dude on lecture hall 2nd floor 3 times and he dropped chunks every time

Jumped back into the game today and decided I'd try and get some echoes to level up a bit. I clear all of the first area, wander back to the guy thumping on the door. I somehow somewhere found a new shortcut and the next thing I know I'm in a sewer somewhere completely new which was awesome. I was starting to feel confident in my abilities and didntt struggle too much but then a man beast jumped me outta nowhere and I lost all my echoes.
Gonna try and find my way back there and reclaim them, wish me luck!

I shoulda figured you'd have already obliterated the game. I've been hella busy with work, and my spare time been going to Borderlands. I'll probably just start over when I get the time to sit down with Bloodborne again.

Wow, what a 180 from RtVS even though the concepts are similar, WoH is hands down the easiest boss in the game, possibly even one of the easiest souls boss ever.

You can drop off a ledge after climbing the first ladder to the gatling gun guy and go inside the church onto some rafters. From there, you can attack a rope holding up oil or something, and it falls down setting this horrifying thing ablaze.

I might have gotten ultra lucky, since I never saw someone point that guy out when anyone asked for enemys which drop chunks.
it's really good if you are somewhat familiar with the game, I wouldn't recommend it for your first playthrough or higher level chalice dungeons. NG and NG+ after your initial playtrough works fine.

There's a red basin in Yarghul, the Unseen Villiage that you can inspect. It will lead to a werewolf that drops one everytime. I can't confirm that it's 100% but it has been for me so far.

I think you can lure the enemies of the area into the fire or scare them, anything like that

make sure the pudding isn't too soggy but that just ruins everything
What I noticed about that part is that the fire kills a bunch of the worshiping enemies down there... making the fight through the area much easier.

Re-read his post. He cut a rope holding some oil. When the oil spilled on the corpse, it caught on fire. That's pretty cool, I have to do that now.

Have you found a cave? It's through there.
Do we know anything about soft caps or diminishing returns on stats yet? My STR is 25, and I'm wondering if i should focus more on VIT and END now.
edit: Also, I put a few points into arcane, and now my item discovery is up to 106. I seem to pick up more vials and bullets now

how do you know about this?
There is a tunnel behind the lycan village (with the big trap hole in the center), go through that tunnel to end up at an underground lake, cross it and enter another tunnel, climb the ladders from there.
