finally beat
logarius
after many many rage inducing attempts. I knew all the strategies for the boss but I sucked at executing them. I had no trouble with any other bosses until that jerk came along.

No, it's just bugged out. I had that problem too on my first playthrough. It didn't bug out on NG+ though. My second time around
I went down and killed him with Eileen on my first attempt, then talked to her, clicked on the Lantern right there and went back to the Dream, then I went to the menu and was able to select the Tomb of Oedon and port right back and it didn't break.
Sadly, I don't think it's fixable if it bugged out already.

One of the worst bosses in the series, up there with Royal Rat Authority, and there no real reward for defeating him!

Yeah. I his design but he seems completely pointless.

in the college building I found some sort of basement door held by a chain. Does anybody know how or when does it open.

He became 200% easier for me when I realized that
you can parry him in his final phase. As in when he starts just using physical attacks stay near him to bait his melee chain and parry that shit.

Coming to Old town from his warp lets you
make the machine gun hunter friendly. You get some extra story and an emote for your effort.

Oh okay thanks for clearing that up, was getting paranoid thinking some invisible enemy was out there waiting to attack me.

I got frustrated.... I was pretty low level when I got there... so after a while I said fuck it and leveled to like 30 or 33 or something like that. Beat him straightaway.

Basically you want to stay behind him, watch for his backward arm swings, and be ready to dodge through his 360. If you're in the 30's the 360 shouldn't be a OHK if it connects. It was for me for the longest time, and that was what was getting me. But once I leveled, was no longer a killshot.

So maybe you need to level a bit.
 
Huge Dark Souls fan here, probably my favorite game ever. Had to skip DS2 because I didn't have a 360 anymore.
Feels good to play a Souls game after 2 years. It took some getting used to the new aproach of engaging enemies.. I reaally missed my shield so I died a ton in the beginning at the town square. I did kill the Cleric Beast in one try to my surprise. Im 15 hours in now and just killed the BSB and I still have no clue how to use the Caryll Runes, did I miss anything?

Run back towards the lantern. Two of them should start peeling off while you keep the attention of the third.

Join her, then give the summons that is in the room to Alfred, return to her lair to see what happens, take the item from the chair to the alter of despair. Also make sure to also visit Alfred again at the place he was originally at for another reward.

i have it at 11 lol, i ran past EVERYTHING and made it the shadows killed the fire guy but ran out of vials, is there a faster way to get to them?

, I agree, its by far the worst area in any souls game (in my opinion at least). I already said earlier that it wasnt even rage/frustration anymore, it was just unwillingness to play the game anymore, it was really bumming me out. Thankfully the next one is back to greatness

I would like to know this as well,
there are people saying that the nun can kill Arianna and the nun is covered in blood when you talk to her. There's a theory that it happens because you accepted Arianna's blood but not hers though I'm not sure if that triggers it at some point. If you brought the clever guy to the cathedral ward he'll give you a hint and say there is bad blood between the two of them so that confirms something can happen between them.

I'm just scared that if I kill the nun in front of everybody they may react.

poison lakes with giants and snake things can go fuck themselves.
 
The Old Yarham boss is just destroying me. Again and again. I am using the church set, so my poison resistance is quite high. Should I increase my level from lvl 20? Switch weapon from the +3 cane? I have already wasted 3 insight. My coop partners did a commendable job, but all died in his super aggro phase, leaving me to die soon after that. How do I win over this beast?

Her head is her weak spot. If you have the Hunter's Axe, using the two-handed R2 will deal a lot of damage and set her up for a Visceral Attack.
