Can someone point me where the
cave/poison swamp
is in the F
orbidden
W
oods
? I ran into it while exploring the first time through and said NOPE but now I'm further on and can't seem to refind it. I was thinking it was in the first area before the
snakes
, but haven't had any luck, unless I'm just blind.

I miss Estus Flasks. It sucks going to harvest healing items after you lose all of them trying (and failing) to kill a boss.

This is really unfortunate. Only design decision I'm not a fan of so far.

Unless you count "FROM still isn't too hot with the framerates" as a design decision.

so I took the tonsil stone
went to that church, got grabbed, got teleported to some lecture place, killed a bunch of people picked up something called Augur of Erbietas then went through a door and now I dont know where I am

just kill all the spiders, then him, rinse and repeat

"but the spiders wont die!"

ah my friend, they will if you
hit them from the sides
:) someone tipped me off on that, I wasnt getting it either

very good question, I would love to know if they scale or soemthing

Not really, other than the main, central, and lower Pthumeran chalices. Those are the Main ones to do.

nightmare fuel...

So I dropped this thing...where the hell do I kill it?

I just started NG+ and all my chalice stuff carried over, so I'm going to do the boss in my NG+ run.

And
Yes, through the gate. I used the cords just before I went through the gate and got the 'true' ending.
Awesome, thanks. Is there anything about the final boss and
secret boss
I should know?
There's no weird things like "you only get one shot" is there?

Find the Lycan Village with the big pit trap in the middle. Explore the higher elevated areas of the Village, where there's some dogs in cages.

I'd say there's some issues with build variety and stat balance. For 90% of players, 2:1 vitality:damage-stat is by far the best stat investment, with scattered points elsewhere.

anyone else forget to change runes because you need to do it in hunters dream?

I prefered rings :/

Thanks, I'll go back there again. I was just there but must have missed it. Needed to restock on vials anyway, and it's a pretty easy area, just big.

Watching the latest ENB video i just got my mind blown.

When doing a visceral attack,
your hand transform into a beast claw
:O

Any word on alternate or creative builds?

I want to fuck around with bloodtinge and arcane but don't really know what weapons or gameplay styles go with it. Are there many spells? Do guns become more useful later on or with a higher bloodtinge stat?

I'm bored with the class STR and Skill builds I've been playing with, I want something more sinister and creative, like my spotted whip poison build from Dark Souls or my crazy lightning FTH build from DS2.

Is arcane or bloodtinge worth dumping stats into ?

So I engaged the
Crow Master
in the Grand Cathedral, and he's completely destroying me. If I leave and progress further can I come back to him or will I lose the opportunity?

2:1 vitality? How the heck many points are people dumping in there? I feel like 20 is more than enough and I'm around level 90.

Any tips for shadow of yarnam? Seems like it should be easy but I'm struggling to manage the 3 different types of attacks.

Just got past via Coop. Absolutely ridiculous fight. I'd advise dealing with katana first, parry then visceral attack. After that I'm not really sure, they're so deadly. It's a gank squad on a timer.

At
byrgenworth
now and the enemy design and has gone fucking mental.

SO FUCKING STUPID OMG

finally got to Bergenwerth
get the lunarium key
some hyper guy with the whip keeps hounding my ass
open the door, get to master Willem
hyper guy whips him because he can't stop fucking swinging
get hyper guy to fall into the lake, game doesn't give me any souls
Willem wont say anything but "Ahhh.... ahhh"
reload, guy is still standing in the house, game didn't recognize his death
I lure him out again to get him to drop down again
he does a magic shpwer attack,. demolishes Willem

Sure, although it's clear they decided to minimize the importance of Stats in general. Equipment is almost all essentially side-grade city, stat allocation is simple, etc.

I don't mind it at all. Feels more focused on the playing and learning your weapon's moveset rather than feeling underpowered if you didn't play with a guide and grab a bunch of hidden super OP items (I always felt this way with DS2 especially.)

If I were a bigger DS2 fan I'm pretty sure it would absolutely infuriate me.

2:1 vitality? How the heck many points are people dumping in there? I feel like 20 is more than enough and I'm around level 90.

Are you dying to bosses at all? With enough vitality you simply won't, because 20 health potions and immunity to combo deaths solves most problems.

Edit: 2:1 until very late, then smoothen out. But by god does HP fix most problems, default stamina is kind of okay, and the two side-stats are worthless. So it is like a 3 or 4 stat game.

Endurance depends on your weapons choice. A whip user has little use, but Axe or Ludwig's can use more. Still, a distant third stat.

I don't know what to do with
Rom
. I can get it down to 1/3 of its health, but then there are far too many fucking
spiders
to contend with and if I do get close enough to it, it throws a fucking temper tantrum and knocks off a ton of my health. This is DS2 level bullshit.

Clear out all the spiders in the first wave, since he can't hit you at that point. and maybe even try clearing all the ones out in the second wave.

After wave 1, you'll notice that he has two magic attacks: 1) the ground spikes, if you're within about 20 feet of him, and 2) the air spears, if you're over 20 feet away. Try to always stay just within ground spike distance, then dodge away as he does them. And wait until just after he does his freak-out attack to go in and hit him.

remember the
old man
before
Rom
? did anyone try to kill him? wonder if you can... and I wonder if hes still there after you kill
Rom

This, loss of warping from Lantern to Lantern and the passive multiplayer connection using Bells are big regressions in this game. Introducing problems that were solved in previous games.

Question about W
hispering
W
oods
location.
I'm very deep in the woods and have arrived at the lake with floating lights above it, like light bugs flying around. Is this the boss? I was hoping for a shortcut nearby. I opened that gate with the elevator but that was very far back. Is there another shortcut in the woods that I missed? I don't want to have to go through all those mobs if I don pt have to.

Awesome, thanks. Is there anything about the final boss and

Nope, you can take as many shots as you like. If you die you just spawn back in the main Dream area. Shortest run back in the game!

How do I get there?

You get ported there after killing The One Reborn and interacting with the throne in the building behind him.

SHADOW OF
FUCKING
YHARNAM

2 hours of this shit. Boss run makes it even worse.
Level up your Endurance. Focus on katana user first. Then go after spellcaster. Save flamethrower for last. Use Hunter's Axe for crowd control. Break lock-on and run when cornered. Break up group with giant tombstone.

Yeah, I beat her already, but my friend just got to Old Yharnam. We just trying to co-op together for the first time & we're having a difficult time.
