Dating sucks. Finding the right person is great but it's such a pain in the ass to get that far. And even then they could drop you at any second. Forget that.

Also your gf sounds insane. If she hadn't seen that convo, something equally irrelevant would have made her flip out eventually. Edit: Just saw the joke.... I dunno anymore, lol

I mean, he's not talking about giving up on life. He's going to take a break from dating. And honestly, that's probably the best thing he can do. From what he's posted here, it's pretty obvious he should mature a bit before trying to get in a serious relationship again.

People fuck up. He'll get over it. Best thing he could do would be to recognize his mistakes, realize he was an idiot, and chalk it up as a learning experience.

It depends. But if you say you two spoke of marriage and the like. I honestly think this is something you two could have talked about any worked out.

But you say she was insecure. If she wouldn't let you have a lock on your phone then yea....There is just no trust and lack of respect from both sides.

I was with a group of guys once, where at you know 2 am ish, one announced he was going home to "fuck his ugly girlfriend", "She needs to go to the gym" blah blah.
Now this is a bunch of guys who would not wince at the most out there insensitive remarks. Whether directed at themselves or others outside the group.
The guy's bravado was annoying for sure, but the reaction of everyone just shuffling there feet waiting for him to leave was telling.

Whatever you think yourself, you don't insult your girlfriend like that. Its so disloyal.

She flipped out because you basically implied you don't find her attractive. That kind of comment is like a bulldozer for one's self-esteem. She probably thinks you don't/didn't really like her, and if so, it's understandable that she'd end it.

Rereading OP's last relationship thread, it appears that his tag was in reference to breaking up with his last cheating GF. So I can understand why he'd be so jaded, this relationship started just after that one ended if the timeline's are correct.

This may sound kind of fucked OP, but maybe you should start seeking women without so much...baggage? Having kids isn't an automatic red flag, but you seem to have a type and keep running after them. If having kids is important to you, maybe you should start a family fresh? You're 29, not 40, no need to dive in head first into these emasculating situations one after another.
