Man I'm having a hard time playing this game.

It's the sort of game that I just need to be fully involved in..playing like 3 hours straight at a time and play everyday alone without any distractions.
Having a hard time accomplishing this due to work and shit....when I come back to the game I just feel a bit loss and not focused and also I don't feel as entangled as when I just have the right amount of time to play..

Anyone else feels like this with Bloodborne ? ( and Souls games in general ).
When I boot up the game I just want to create a new character to be sucked in from the beginning again and don't let that feeling go until I finish the game..

Got any tips for Reiterpallasch? The first form seems great but I'm not sure why I'd ever need to turn it into a gun when I have one in my left hand.

I keep mine handy with rapid poison - it's very, very useful for PvP when you get funneled into a tight space and your opponent has a big weapon. It's very quick so you can usually interrupt someone starting a combo. I rarely switch it to the second (slashing form) - it only fires as a gun when you switch forms mid combo, although that can also be useful for a surprise stun.

Yes both at +7, but cane is missing a third rune cant find those:

Stats

vit 25
end 20
str 13
skill 35
bloodtinge 15
Are you primarily using the cane in whip or cane mode?

Cane mode does more damage and has quicker attacks

Edit: oh, and make sure it is repaired. You only need to repair your gear every other hour or so.

Yeah I noticed the new moves and they are usually reason for my deaths. Ehh 50 really? No way I am gonna grind for 15 levels more. Any good runes for the fight?

I had 50 vit and the 5% health rune AND the 10% health rune lol. No shame. I'm doing it on my second character, first one was getting murdered with 40 so I dunno if 45 will be fine. The other rune I had reduced fire damage and I was wearing the bone ash set.

You can learn to avoid the one shots, I only got hit with 1 one of them over the course of 7 minutes but man it hurts too much letting a good run go because you were off for a second. I'd rather grind. Especially in NG+ it's no big deal to get 1m souls in about 10 minutes.

whip mode, and yes the cane does alot more damage, but after reading past OT's I thought the whip mode was like god mode or something hahaha

Is it worth using Ludwigs blade over my trust Hunter's Axe, which is currently at +4?

I've been using the Axe, mine is +4 too. Awesome weapon, in large part because of the reach and area of damage in two handed mode.

I just got Ludwigs blade and had a load of spare shards so upgraded it to +4 and have been using it alongside the axe. Honestly.....prefer the axe at the moment, Ludwigs doesn't seem to do the damage I expected but perhaps once I've blood gem fortified it.

Also, minor thing, but the physics enabled cape glitches through the scabbard for Ludwigs all the time which looks crap and annoys me.

Good luck! I think BB is the easiest to get into since alot of the stuff that would seem complicated to newcomers is gone.. though i guess it depends on how far you got into the souls games

Got to say, either I'm a way better gamer now or BB is just a little bit easier.

Since Father G I haven't died once,
only when reaching that sniper who shoots at you from a rooftop.

Love the game though, so addicting. I think I've found a good mix of leveling up and not running out of blood vials. Got 99 in stock and 20 on me at all times. After I level up I use the remaining blood to buy vials. That keeps the stock up at all times.

you know that
big spider that grabbed you at grand cathedral and spawned you at Nightmare frontier? You need to go again there and rush it,after that hall a bit further you'll find the yahar'gul unseen village and the lamp.

Huh, went up the cathedral and some crazy hunter killed me and some girl is tslking... guess I need to beat him too? or completely unnecessary.. I have to say I dont even remember where exactly the spide grabbed me.. man I'm bad at this lol

Whip's amazing against enemies with long reach or against groups. Cane is great at stacking damage against a single target or hitting two close by enemies.

Get used to both movesets.

Also, transforming from the cane to the whip mid-combo/roll/dash is a slow attack that I don't really enjoy but the other way around is a great attack (transforming whip-->cane mid-combo/dash/roll).

If you're already in whip mode, the roll --> whip R2 attack is probably the longest range attack in your arsenal and should be practiced.

It's a very versatile moveset.

Nevermind, find a whole new zone ive never seen (right of grand catedral) never saw thos steps going down after beating the 2 dudes...

That's just for Elieen quest. For proceeding, just go where the spider grabbed you and took you to the Nightmare Frontier, but this time the door will be open, so avoid getting grabbed and go inside.

I think in terms of overall difficulty its a little bit harder than demon's souls(the easiest imo) but as with all the souls games they arent really hard if you plan your approach.. Some of them have some really cheap bullshit areas though, DS2 especially.

You might also have run into the bug that makes alot of the bosses skip doing some attacks

Ok thank you all, it was the place where he grabbed me that i couldnt remember (right of catedral)
Thanks for the help :)

starting unseen village now :) shouldnt be too hard :)

I'm at the end of the game and decided I'd like to do some of the optional areas before I beat the last boss. What areas do you guys recommend? I have not done any of the optional stuff.

Nice! GL worst area for me hahaha! I had to create another char cus I didnt know about that.

For people that have cleared all chalice dungeons, what was your level when you finished the last dungeon and how many points did you have in Vitality? In other Souls games I was able to get away with 20-30 points in VIT and currently have 25, but things like defiled chalice dungeons didn't exist in those games so...

It seems like a lot of people are recommending 50 VIT but this would limit my current build quite a bit if I try to stay within a certain level range (e.g. 100-120). Thoughts?

I'm using Saw blade,Rifle Spear and started using Ludwigs Blade, what an awesome weapon !
I switch weapons depending on type of enemies some are killed easier with different move set .

Should have used it earlier in the game .

First all you are dang good so props on that. Overall I haven't been dying nearly as much in BB as the other games but that is mostly cause all the cheap bs from DS2 has been taken out of BB.

I haven't killed Isofeka but I have killed rom but I never met arianna. Am I screwed? Or can it be salvaged.

You should be fine. As long as you haven't entered Iosefka's clinic through the back entrance/forbidden woods shortcut before you have killed
Rom
everything is ok. You can still get a third
umbilical cord
in that case.

I'm disappointed by NG+
It's 100% the same game, no differences. No new weapons, no new armor sets, same enemies...nothing.
I don't think I'm going to finish NG+ because there is no point in that.

I'd argue the point beeing a more challanging game. Then again I pretty much only boss rush during ng+ playthroughs.

Hmmm. Not sure on that one.

Edit: Just got it. Sweet.

Yeah kind of disapointing. They did such a great job at NG+ in Dark Souls 2.

Beat the game last night. Now I'm allowing myself to not be 'blind', anymore. Holy crap. There's just so much to this game. I mean, I knew there were a ton of doors I hadn't opened, but just to see what's going on? I'm a bit flabbergasted. I was really meticulous, but I think I lost a bit of my focus towards the end. I still don't know anything about (Menis spoiler)
that white-dressed woman before the Wet Nurse fight
. I'm frustrated, because I would've gone around a lot more, but I triggered NG+ before I wanted. I felt that that's what would happen, but it didn't really feel like the end of the game.

Beautiful way to tie in NG+, though.

I miss invasions, though. Been invaded once. Killed him very quickly. I mean, I've probably spent more hours PvP'ing in each of the previous Souls games than I have spent beating all of them together, so I felt that familiar rush and had the fight really under control. Been trying to invade, too, to no avail.

So, who is
that woman in white I mentioned earlier?
, and why did I have to
Send Arianna to the clinic?
. And why didn't I find
the back way to the clinic
? I've since read where it is, but I thought I was so meticulous going through the game. Oh well. The game made me really uneasy at some points, so I guess I just wanted to run past it all.

It seems like From ran out of time. Compare to Souls, NG+ has nothing new, being in a covenant gives you no rewards and so on.

It's got an amazing thrust attack, but that's about it, to me.

I just recently bought it because I thought it would look cool to have a standard-looking sword and pistol in the other hand, kind of like the Witch Hunter from Warhammer. I wasn't really feeling the look, either.

I didn't like the R1 spam attack. The damage was too low, with almost no chance to stagger. I didn't like giving up my second-hand weapon to 2-hand it. Maybe I just love my Saw Cleaver too much and should just settle in with it. Everything I've tried switching to, Tonitrus included, just hasn't wowed me.

Basically, Ludwig's is good if you feel like you need a little more distance between you and your enemies.

I think you're supposed to play through NG+ to get all the chalice dungeon shit. They didn't expect you to just grind for that I don't think.

Not even that! You can visit he before that as long as you don't actually kill her.

Doesn't she
aggro you as soon es you enter her room
?

I have a feeling that Japan Studio's biggest contribution to Bloodborne was making sure it hit a Spring 2015 shipping date.

The only game in the series that did something new in NG+ was DS2. Neither demon's nor DS had anything other than harder enemies

With that said it would ofc have been nice with something more:)

What weapons are you lot using? Ludwig's Holyblade has been so good for me that it's all the way to +10. That reminds me that I didn't even find the bloody katana before NG+.

And now I found out about the NPC in the Unseen Village that you can talk to
if you're snatched and wearing the right stuff
. Wow

AND I just understood the
three cord
note in the Lecture Hall. I knew I should've written that stuff down.

The main game has a lot of content when it comes to enemies and environments. It's nuts.

Maybe they could've locked an area or two for NG+, or something like that.

Castle Cainhurts could've easily been DLC...

I think DS had some armors. Like Ornestein and Smough, if you killed them in a different order.

And different weapons/spells because some of them required boss souls.
