Haven't CDPR showcased X1 version few times already? It's PS4 footage that is MIA.
They have shown it once with a blurry stage video. But yeah, the PS4 version has not been publicly shown, only journalists have seen it.

Whoa, that art direction! I really like where theyre going with this style, IMO much better than the reveal trailer that just looked like Witcher 2(.9).![]()
DONE!
Question about this series: are you able to customize your characters face/gender or is it always the white haired dude with the scar on his face?
Come on now.Yeah they need to stop using terrible PS2-era models

Come on now.
I'm sorry to ask this here, couldn't find another more appropriate The Witcher thread.
What are the preorder perks of digital purchase on PS4 ?
i know on the standard physical edition you get the Game, Map, Manual, Soundtrack, Stickers, Witcher Universe Comdendium. so if i decide to go digital, will i miss all that stuff ?
i mean ofcourse i'll miss the physical stuff, just wondering if there are some other digital stuff that will compensate

They're being sarcastic in regard to a previous comment.
Ah, don't mind me lol.He was being sarcastic and poking fun at the guy who claimed the character models look bad. Most of us can see how fantastic the character models are.
Like these? LolYeah they need to stop using terrible PS2-era models

Ah, don't mind me lol.
It was an option in Witcher 2, so I'd imagine the option would still be there for 3.Geralt desperately needs his Witcher 1 haircut back, stat!

Never said they was that bad, but now you mention it that hair is some PS2 era hair.
Sorry but the character models just stand out as cartoony compared to the rest of the game, it's pointless posting screens of them thinking I'm gonna be impressed by textures and details when it's the actual models that are are the problem.
Bloodborne is even worse, like I said the character models are a little disappointing.

Care to give us some examples that *do* impress you.
That way we can tell you that you're wrong with proper examples.
He must just mean faces (if anything). Vesemir body/armor is incredible, only game that has something better is The Order.
Yeah, the order is pretty nice. It is also a 6 hour game, with a limited amount of characters. Either way, what is there to be disappointed about the faces in this game? To be disappointed, you have to be expecting something else...
Pretty much anything released in the past 2 years really.Care to give us some examples that *do* impress you.

You seriously just used GTA3?Playstation 2 hair

Get the fuck out of here.
See he gets it.He must just mean faces (if anything) (Unity has more realistic ones for the main characters). Vesemir body/armor is incredible, only game that has something better is The Order.

Unity's hair is better, but otherwise TW3's models are easily on-par IMO.

True, but there's a lifelessness in the animation compared to Unity to me.
I agree on still, but most of the dialogue of Geralt still seems a bit stiff (for necessity since there is so much dialogue) compared to the high production cutscenes of games like Unity or Ryse. I think the fact that we are comparing a rpg with the cream of the crop of AAA speak volumes of its top noch production design, I'm not disappointed with the game at all.
You can customize his hair style and beard. This is a game about an already set character.
Nope, you can only customize his hair and beard. These games are based on a series of books featuring Geralt (the white haired dude) and Ciri (his "adopted daughter"). You spend 90% of the game as Geralt, and there will be small section when you play as Ciri.
Unity's hair is better, but otherwise TW3's models are easily on-par IMO.

Perhaps, but the conversation wasn't about animation quality.
A good and fair comparison I guess would be DA:I vs TW3, both huge AAA RPG's and TW3 has DA:I completely knocked out of the park by years on that front.
As you said, I think the fact that a studio like CDPR is able to go toe-to-toe with the really huge studios making these more focused, specific action titles (That they can mocap much easier) is a huge testament to the talent at CDPR.
It's just comments like TGO's that irk me, straight up hyperbolic nonsense.
you quoted the wrong person...Look up a few preceding comments.dude.....stop. Just stop.
The character models in unity are very variable in quality. The main characters look great, the others not so much.
From what I've seen the W3 has stuck a really great balance.
Right, but my point was it doesn't matter as much how on par they are if one is inferior to the other in bringing the models to life. To me at least. It just pulls me out of the scenes a little more.
I don't think DA:I to W3 is an apt comparison for animation quality. Animation in DA:I was appaling, partly because Bioware and also because they had last gen contraints.
Well I absolutely and completely respect that.
If that was the point TGO had tried to make, I wouldn't have fought one bit, but he tried to say the models look poor, and that's just nonsense.
You're right to an extent, but even games like FC4 & Crysis 3 were "restricted" by last-gen, and still had decent/great models.
It's probably a little unfair because we all know how awful BioWare's models/animation is in general, but considering there's essentially no other AAA RPG's released this gen (At least not big multiplat blockbusters), it's really the only remotely apt comparison I could think of.
Bioware did state that they had serious RAM budgeting issues and that one of the things that went out of the window was animation.

dude.....stop. Just stop.
Why because of last gen?
Watch the latest interview with Damien Monnier, a few comments towards the end should put you at ease.

One of guys from CD Projekt Red said he would be playing on PS4. I would think someone on their team would have access to a PC that can run the game so that is a good sign.
