I find Linda to be kinda strange because I don't get the scopes. It's oddly fitting however, since she's the sniper and 343i loves to add extra scopes to that too.
Rest are good. Always liked Halo 4's Chief design.

Which is what I'm worried about. They have a chance at finally conveying the teams dynamic relationship and it'll either be done beautifully or poorly. Heck they could also be killing one of them off.
At the very least they do appear blue in this image.

I just wish they didn't give Chief's pals those shabby helmets. I always liked the idea of Spartan IIs having uniform armor so their body language was the main indicator that they're unique soldiers. It would make them more impressive, I think. A faceless team of near superhumans.2153x1217

Best thing about Halo 4 had been the relationship between Cortana and Chief. So I am having hope they won't fuck up the team dynamic. I hope neither of them are bros and no dialogues similar to the Gimli and Legolas' dialogue in RotK.
I agree, there could be some slight variations in the armor but the helmets should be the same. After all Halsey was the only one who could tell them apart.

I know that's more faithful to the lore, but I don't really care. The armor variants will help differentiate them and they all look awesome. It's worth ignoring the cannon a little.

It's not really ignoring the canon if you look at it through their personal journey's perspective. As the armor has upgraded over the years, so have they, personally. The Spartans have come to be their own person, despite their uniform origins. The same helmets and armor makes sense for their induction and the war they were created for, but over time, as they fought together and struggled together, a uniqueness takes shape. And given the upgrades to the armor, the "sameness" was moved away from, basically, and transitioned to being suited and stylized specifically for each Spartan and their abilities, etc.
Could simply just come down to them not wanting to look at the same and be their own soul, despite their predestined lot in life. I dunno. Just spittin into a barrel here haha.

I want to be excited about this game, but I fear it will just be a poor rehash of the Halo shooting mechanics and nothing else.
Nonetheless, I look forward to the Limited Edition SKU of the game. Those have always been ace with the Halo series (unlike the Collector's Editions that usually come with cat helmets and other shit).

Yeah,Halo 4 gameplay wasn't until E3 IIRC. It was crazy seeing it and being completely blown away at the graphics though. I really hope Halo 5's campaign looks amazing.

I think we'll have to wait until E3 to see proper gameplay, as said its only just over a month away. But I'm sure the campaign will have the spotlight since we've already seen and played the multiplayer. as confirmation of 4-player co-op with actual characters who may be around in the game as well rather than just re-skins for the other players (Halo 3) or just being a clone (every other game ever).

I hope that Halo 5 looks amazing not in terms of graphics but in terms of scale and enemy AI. Hopefully 343i puts gameplay over graphics this time around because the increased graphical fidelity of Halo 4 brought some limitations that made the actual game worse.
That being said I can't wait to see campaign gameplay at E3.
