This is the part where all the casuals come in here hella mad cuz they didn't get a Rocky IV type fight lol 😂😂😂😂😂😂

Welp, that was boring. Mayweather did what he had to do though and played it smart and safe. Got those points and won those rounds. There seemed to be an excessive amount of holding though :/ . I kind of wish they would have started subtracting points for it or something.

Hey, filthy casual here. What's up? :D

Dudes really mad that a boxer is using his ability to not get hit and pepper in a few punches to his advantage. It is boring as fuck but come on its smart.

The most exciting Boxing is also the technically worse i.e dudes just throwing punches on some YOLO shit.

I really think people's hatred of Mayweather is getting in the way of their thoughts here.

General consensus over Twitter.

Boxing is dead.
Hugs, headlocks and running.
Fuck Mayweather.

This is probably now the start of MMA taking over.

Lol boxing is dead because floyd keeps winning? They say that every year then find another npc to hype up for a big flight.

Same tired arguments from the same salty ass people.

Btw, Vegas is crazy right now!

People said that the last time Mayweather fought.

I doubt the general population knows of the next boxing match after this or who the undercards are. This was a hyped event that failed to live up to that hype so people are disappointed. Sure, Mayweather won with technical skill but it was still boring and people realized after watching that: boxing is boring.

Pac is in no way, shape, or form faster than Floyd. He might have been 5 or 6 years ago but not now. In fact, Floyd kept cutting himself off intentionally just to easily get away from him.
Manny is faster. Whenever Manny was in range to land something he was slipping pbf punches and landing the left. He was beating pbf to the punch when he was in range. The peoblem is that pbf kept him out of that range for most of the night.

Great time for all you disappointed boxing newbies/veterans to get into MMA, we have an exciting king ascending soon, and his name is Rumble.

I've been watching boxing for two decades, trained in a boxing gym for 5 years and I ain't never seen two fighters hug at the beginning of the final round.

They were like fuck everybody we richer now homey!!

They both won.

Boxing fans are arguing over this fight, while both Pac and Floyd are laughing at us dirty poors.

lol

Think people, if this had been a street brawl, who would you say won? The guy coming in throwing punches and missing a lot, or the one who stayed cool and dodged everything and countered and landed? Floyd won it easily. You can't be a fan of the sport coming in only to see the other guy lose.

Lol MMA already had its peak.

There's no one like Brock in the heavyweight, Anderson is a washed up roider, GSP is gone and Jones is lol.

They have Ronda and that's it.

Its at this point I'm proud to wear my casual badge... I can't imagine getting emotionally invested in this sport now.

That looked like a movie scene , those guys were acting thier role. That "fight" deserves an Oscar nomination at least.

The UFC's Q1 of 2015 was the most business its done in a 3 month period in the entire history of the sport

The fuck. Manny is nowhere near Mayweather's speed. It's not even close. Mayweather didn't dodge every punch, in close range and at distance - all the while doubling shots landed on a similar throw count - by being slower.

Manny has never, at any point in his career, ever been faster than Mayweather. Ever.

If you're training an outside fighter how to fight in a defensive style, how to block, how to move your head, how to move within the ring and control the space, how to keep your opponent at distance, how to counterpunch, you show him a Mayweather fight. For all of Pacquiao's aggression he could barely land anything, and Mayweather just continued to tag him over and over again.

I don't know how you want to objectively rank a fight such that Pacquiao wins.

Dudes be firing up bootleg streams 1x per year and get mad there's not a knockout or w for the "underdog"

Love how our resident boxing experts claim casuals being disappointed is laughable when the fight really was just a pile of shit

Mayweather fought in an extremely boring style, which nearly put me to sleep with how late this match ran at night. How the hell are they calling this the "match of the century" when nothing happened the whole fight. Mayweather evaded Pacquaio the entire bout, preferring to fish for counter punches. How is that suppose to be entertaining? I want to see fools get fucked up! MMA has more action than this crappy boxing match.

Honest question? How often do you watch boxing? Because it's fighting doesn't make it a brawl. Unfortunately the Tyson era is long gone you can check out clips on YouTube though. Knocking out someone in boxing is not always easy as it looks especially when they are are a disciplined fighter. There is a reason he goes on 6 miles run at 3am endurance and long legs to EVADE getting hit. Even Manny implied he was not as aggressive.

Unless you get paid for your opinion, I'd say we're all casuals. Different levels of casuals sure.

People said that the last time Mayweather fought.

True, but Floyd vs Manny was always the carrot on the stick for boxing. That last heavily desired match that the public never got. That match is over now, and it was as boring as most of Floyd's other fights. There is no dream fight anymore, and Floyd and Manny are both about done

Exactly. Its not about being "hardcore" or not.

That fight was trash. Especially for $100. Mayweather has the best defense probably ever. He fought Manny smart. There's nothing wrong with that.

It is still boring as all hell to watch.

Manny was very disappointing. How do you throw fewer punches than Floyd and expect to win? I think he only threw substantially more than him in two rounds which are the only two he clearly won. It's so frustrating watching a guy not try hard enough in a boxing match. At the end of either the 9th or 10th Floyd's near the ropes and Manny just stands there. I'm not saying he would've won by any means but he could've pushed things way more. Manny really did look happy just to be there.

I'm glad the judges didn't have it super close so there'd be another one of these
