Why do you think Bruce has no love life?
You mean the black T-shirt and pants?
Yeah.
Or upgrade that look and not go with this costume.
Anything but this one, really.
I agree, I like the suit the more I look at it. What's driving people crazy is that the mask doesn't fit Charlie's face correctly. He doesn't have a symmetrical lower face which is throwing the whole thing out of whack. The nose piece is probably too short or too long as well. They should do the full open nose like the comic DD, or cover it like Batman. But the rest of the suit is perfectly fine, it's red and has black armor plates in areas where he'd need it. I kinda wish they'd show us a fully lit promo costume test pic so we can see it in all it's glory.
Ew.
Keep the ninja look. Seriously. Aside from that this is a great show.
Kind of agree. I get that there was a need for rapid traversal to keep up, but there were a lot of random flourishes (swan dive, rolling around for no reason) that just did not seem to have legitimate purpose outside of looking cool.Loved the whole season, but the parkour in the last episode was really jarring for me.
hes not a ninja, hes a super hero. deal with it
I hope he never goes back to that boring ass black ninja look(which Ironfist already will look like) and they keep the red costume with some improvements.
I didn't like the black suit when they first revealed it but it completely won me over.
It's perfect for the tone of the show.
The new suit is just gross and really stands out from the rest of the show in a real goofy and bad way.
Like, just upgrade the black one with the new fabric/material. That would have been perfect.
What tone does the red suit ruin that a guy in a t-shirt with a fucking blindfold (that no one ever comments on) on doesn't?
The body armor is what makes sense, it's the nonsense spent as "The Man in the Mask" that fucks things up for me. The sin isn't the suit design, but that they took so long to get there. DD should have been iterating on armor options the second he caught a knife to the side.
I feel like I'm on Bizzaro Earth where people like D'onofiro's performance and hate DD's costume.

Body armor is a perfectly sensible take on the character, since the alternative is that he's constantly getting cut up and being too stupid to realize he needs it, or he's an invincible super ninja that no one ever manages to touch because something something heightened senses.
The street tone. The home made-dont-give-shit-about-looks-tone.
And the sin is actually the design of the red suit. Make it padded, somwhat, sure. But keep it "home made" so it still has the street tone.
It doesn't mesh well at all, honestly. I enjoyed it as a standalone thing, but so far the TV expansion of the MCU isn't rocking my world.Only on episode 5 so I'm interested to see how this might tie into the greater universe. Tonally it's completely out of place compared to the other Marvel films I've seen that I can't imagine how it'd work.
The Netflix "4K" presentation is disappointing, there are massive compression blocks everywhere. Looks decent at times but compared to a blu-ray it's lacking. Not sure if it's just the show though as Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt looked a lot better at Netflix's normal 1080P bitrate. Definitely is the 4K version though as my TV says it's outputting at the resolution after the first few seconds of the stream.

Oh, and I liked how (I think) they referenced the characterElektra, during the conversation about Matt learning Spanish, to get close to that "Greek girl."

Holy fuck
Yep. Like I said though, I THINK. I would definitely not be surprised ifmade an appearance in season 2, and they had a flashback sequence to theirshedays.college

I'm looking forward to the Hulk slowly ripping off limbs for information in the next Avengers movie. Can you imagine the Huk and the Thor standing next to this Daredevil in this universe?
Granted I've never been a follower of DD, but all other portrayals of Kingpin I'm familiar with portrays him as a sophisticated wealthy socialite. Not reading replies or posts unless they're to me b/c I'm on episode 4 but is Fisk this socially awkward in the comics or just their interpretation?

Really. I did noticed close-ups later on with the gloves but...huh.Here's something most viewers haven't noticed: Throughout the season, DD adds padding and armour to his black outfit. It's very subtle. New combat gloves, arm pads, elbow pads, knee pads etc.

Did I miss something with Vanessa and why she got with Fisk? I kept expecting her to call the Japanese business man and report in.
I forgot they were lawyers for most of the series. Out of 13 hour long episodes they represent two people(the third they completely fuck over) and their argument lasts several episodes so the office isn't even mentioned outside of True Blood crying about how close they used to be.
Presumably Murdoch paying with his trust fund money and the cash from getting Fisk's hitman off the hook.I kept wondering how they kept the lights on.
In the comics Fisk tends to be a pretty straight forward villain. They expand him a bit in Punisher Max and show how intelligent he really is and how he played all of the mobsters against each other to take over and become Kingpin. That said he is downright vile in Punisher Max.
I think for the series they decided to humanize him a bit instead of just being your standard by the number bad guy. He could have been a better person but life shit on him and then in his rise to power he basically had to stay completely invisible which didn't help his social graces and considering he was a fat "loser" as a kid it wasn't likely he had much of a social life then either.
Ben dying was unexpected as hell.
If he ever got a hold of the Infinity Gauntlet...jesus...Fisk's portrayal was incredible. A perfect villain and his last scene makes me excited for another season.
If I have to hear him say "I am trying to save this city" one more time lol
Also the outfit isn't that bad, Could be way better. I don't understand Vanessa or why she is with Fisk.
Just occurred to me that it would be rad if the second season had flashbacks of Wesley meeting with her to talk about Fisk.Potential flashback for her in season 2 or future as to why she stood with him.
