What about an inverse castle goal? I'd pay money for that..
The physical copy should be DRM free, no?Also no option for DRM-free. I'll probably not back this.
Disappointed in the kickstarter. They have basically nothing to show, only promises. Also no option for DRM-free. I'll probably not back this.
How is this art style "gothic" anyway? The stained glass?
Shadow Complex NEEDS to be preserved on PC and newer platforms. Don't let that wonderful game fade away with the 360 digital market.Chair guy saying that they want to bring the game to other platforms![]()

Ravi should know that better than anyone after the whole Juju clusterfuck
Seriously fuck that guy for breaking the contract
I can't read this whole thread, but has it been mentioned that the actual budget for the game is about $5M, and the KS is just to show that there's demand to get the rest of the money from their secret publisher?

Says Steam. The physical copy should be DRM free, no?

Blame Sheridan.Main character looks like a Minbari.
I think the danger is without being transparent, people will assume that a game like this could be made for $500k or whatever they end up with. It raises expectations while lowering the cost of doing business.I swear this isn't the first time I've heard about something like this with Kickstarter, but can't recall what else there was.
I would've opted for a Wii U version if it was available just for offscreen play. Kind of sucks they couldn't get it done.
No, that's what the $125 tier is for

I know who it is, but wish they'd been transparent about it.
The only reason they weren't makes me think they think it's a liability.
My main concern, though, is that everyone understands that games cost money to make and have a sense of what the real budget of this game is.
That's in the pitch video, so it's not a secret.
Last time I heard this, it was for a certain game called Star Citizen. Though I don't expect this one to get as much funding.
They mentioned Guilty Gear.
I have nothing to worry about.
...I have to pay for a digital key after buying a $65 physical copy? Yeah fuck that, Iga. I'm not paying $65 MORE for that.
KS legit cancelled.
The whole point of a kickstarster is to prove that the game has an audience so they can get the funds and START to make the game, so of course there's not much to show.
To be honest, this one kinda looks like a Power Rangers villain. And the beasts.
Backed for a digital copy. Really glad Yamane is on board. Her sample theme for the game is great. A bit wary of Inti Creates though. Not a fan of their recent games.
Also happy it won't be held back my last gen hardware or handhelds.

There's such a thing called proof of concept. Do you think developers just take in three sheets of concept art when they are presenting a game to prospective publishers? "Trust us, it's gonna b awesome, give us tons of money now kthx". Hell no.
This should be the same thing, the fans/customers are just the executives sitting in the publisher's seat now. Make a compelling argument why we should fund your game, take a bit of a risk as a developer and pull money out of pocket to create a small prototype that shows the direction you are heading in. I think the game would have gotten actually significantly more funding if it did have something like that.

Bummer I was just about to sign up for the signed box tier and found out Kickstarter dumped the Amazon payment method? I really don't want to put my credit card info into any more systems.
Maybe I'll change my mind later.
To be honest, this one kinda looks like a Power Rangers villain.

It has.
I've gotta ask: they've cited Xrd as an example of a game that shows how cool 2.5D can look, but I get the impression that a) $5m isn't nearly gonna cut it for a game with as much volume as a typical IGA game, and b) Xrd's look wasn't especially technically innovative or groundbreaking, it just required people who were willing to work really fuckin' hard to get it to look the way they wanted. I know you can't speak for ASW and that your game isn't even 2.5D but can you speak to this at all?
If it was EA they'd almost assuredly fund the whole thing like they're doing for the game by the Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons people.
Most major publishers would.
That's why I'm guessing niche Western outfits since they clearly have money, but want some marketing footwork done for them.
