Lionhead is still working on Fable Legends, their next project - whatever it is - probably is in a pre-production state from a very small part of the team, and is very unlikely to be shown. Rare last game is barely a year old, and the studio apparently went through a somehow dramatic change of focus and direction. If they are indeed working on a so called AAA game, it's probably in a very early state.

Twisted Pixel, which I somehow didn't consider as a big studio - it's quite small afaik, somewhere around 20-30 devs - probably has something to announce indeed.

True about the Lionhead part. I read up on it and it's an incubation team that has been working on it. The same team behind this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JB_X4OnLTIY
It's obviously a long time away, but they said we might see the new IP sooner rather than later, so who knows. Twisted Pixel is small team, but I wouldn't scoff at it, still. Ori is a great addition to the Xbox platform, and Rime seems to draw much attention as well, so I wouldn't think that just size is what matters.

I just hope for some big new IP, and I'll be burnt by MS again if they think "a focus on new IP" means one new IP.

Seems like Sony is going to just go big on 3rd party partnerships for Q4

Metal Gear Solid 5
Destiny DLC
Battlefront 3
Mad Max
Assassins Creed

They can potentially delay games for Q4

Tearaway Unfolded
Until Dawn - good idea for Halloween

And they can have some exclusive or timed exclusive digital games for Q4

No Mans Sky
The Witness
Shadow of the Beast

I think Sony has the right strategy by leaving the fall for all the big 3rd party multiplatform titles. Not only the games they have marketing deals with but other big games such as COD will also be release in Q4. Then releasing all their big games for the first half of the following year with games like Street Fighter V and Uncharted 4. This has worked in the past with The Last of Us and BloodBorne.

Any chance of seeing Mass Effect 4 gameplay ?

Sony has AC this year too?

Although I agree that Sony's will have a major 3rd party focus, I think we can't dismiss the fact that (1) Many 1st party studios have yet to announce what they are working on and (2) Sony will want to bring at least 1-2 strong exclusive titles to combat Halo this holiday season.

In addition, I get the feeling RiME, The Witness, and Everybody's Gone To The Rapture will be released later this year. All three titles are looking great.

The conference will most probably provide an update on all known exclusives and unveil at least a few more for Q2-Q3 2016 releases.

Because they literally have no first party games.

What a ludicrously idiotic comment.

There are plenty of first party titles coming. Just off the top of my head:

Until Dawn
Ratchet & Clank
Everybody's Gone To The Rapture
Alienation
Wild
Rime
The Tomorrow Children
Uncharted 4
Tearaway Unfolded
God of War 3: Remastered

On top of existing 1st parties:

Infamous: Second Son
Bloodborne
Killzone: Shadow Fall
Driveclub
The Order: 1886
LittleBigPlanet 3
MLB 14/15
Resogun
Last of Us: Remastered

Bruh, you need to get your sarcasm meter checked.

So the game must be delayed until 2016 as well.

:(

Length of time they will talk about each of these games if they have marketing deals.

Star Wars: Battlefront - 8 mins
Assassin's Creed Syndicate - 5 mins
Call of Duty: Black Ops 3? - 6 mins
Mad Max - 4 mins
Batman: Arkham Knight - 4 mins
Metal Gear Solid V - 4 mins
Destiny - DB, HOW, Comet, and going forward long-term. - 3 mins
Sony'd better leave a decent amount of airtime for their first party games. I really don't want their conference to be third party game oriented.

the worst thing is, that we probably get so see the gameplaydebuts (those long gameplayvideos) of those yearly Franchises at Sonys Conference

Assassins Creed
Call of Duty
Finishing the conference with a long Gameplayvideo for Star Wars

Those 3 alone will make 20-30 minutes of the conference (if the star wars part is extra long)

As a comparison: Destiny's part at E3 2013 was over 13 minutes long (gameplayvideo) COD AW last year around 8 minutes, AC Unity around 6 minutes

Well, the judge's week is also for the media to get an early look at a number of the games present and get early preview write ups, etc prepped to go as well. They can still "award" games as they go along the show floor.

True, but it seems like it'll be much easier for games to get lost in the E3 rush without them being in that Judge's Week. Then again, the games that win are always really big name title, so most will probably get around to playing those anyway. It'll be interesting to see what wins this year given the last two winners (Titanfall and Evolve).

At the very minimum, we will know whether the game is coming out in 2015 in North America for sure or not. Regardless of whether Atlus says something about that, or they don't.

We might be able to find that out as soon as someone gets the badge insert for this years E3

AC already had its gameplay debut yesterday. There's also no multiplayer for them to reveal this time around So things will be handled differently. It wouldn't be entirely surprising for it to not popup at any conference other than UBI's.

I think they'll be Moneyhats this Holiday . Now that Sony's Videogame division is a primary focus for the company and that they're in a fairly comfortable lead worldwide, I think they will shift their focus to a similar strategy to Microsoft during the 360 era. Work on a few AAA titles a year, but get the 3rd parties to do most of the work for them while Sony only has to pay some Marketing dollars to associate those games with their console.
I realize it's not a very popular opinion, but it's very cost-effective and it allows Sony to bank some money and bring their company into a healthy position.

It's very interesting as Phil Spencer said it's time to focus on it's first party offerings.

I think both companies are going to switch philosophies this generation.

So, is it confirmed that Sony is the one getting marketing rights for Syndicate? I tried to look it up but didn't find any answer.

People are assuming that it is because it's the lead case at the end of the trailer, and because there's a PSblog post about it. But there's no official confirmation for it just like there's no confirmation about Sony having BO3.

I think Sony will adopt a mixture of their own 1st party focused attitude from last gen, and Microsoft's 3rd party focus from last gen.

It's not like they will keep releasing iterations of the same IP in a 2 year cycle - they have too many studios in their own 1st party network for that to happen, a huge vault of valuable IP, and lots of 2nd party deals (like co-development with Capcom on Street Fighter V).

I still think they will show a proper gameplaytrailer (maybe the trainfight from the kotaku screenshots) to impress the people (especially after the debut gameplayvideo was so underwhelming)

I think all that's happening is that Sony is backing off of announcing games so early. Delays like Uncharted or The Order are obviously unavoidable, but I think they want to do more stuff like Bloodborne and LBP3. Both of those were announced and released in less than a year. They took a lot of heat early last gen because they had a habit of announcing games that were far away. They have a lot of internal games in development, but they just aren't announcing them in huge waves. We know Polyphony has Gran Turismo 7, Sony Japan has Gravity Rush HD/2 and TLG, Media Molecule, Bend and Guerrilla all have new IP's, and they have games from third party devs that they're publishing like with Quantic Dream. But it doesn't seem like they want to show them until they're actually ready.

So they're switching philosophies, but not in the sense that they're switching away from a big emphasis on first party software. That's still there but they're giving devs the time they need to make the games they want while attempting to get them out quickly after they're announced.

From the PlayStation Blog
Insomniac Games is also hard at work at Ratchet & Clank for the PS4, a re-imagination of the original game that started it all 13 years ago. The game, out Spring 2016, re-tells the origin story that ties in closely and expands upon the movie’s narrative. It also features several new levels along with reimagined classic locales like Metropolis, brand new weapons and completely redone visuals made possible by the power of the PlayStation 4. We’ll be sharing more on the game soon!

If you asked me what titles I was looking forward to playing this Christmas, I would have said Ratchet, Uncharted and Zelda. It defies belief all 3 were delayed.

what a shame...i was looking forward to this title and Persona 5 among Sonys exclusive Games......

I don't know if i feel the same in 2016 with all those other exclusives coming out

I think Sony might do what Microsoft did last year and have some CG trailers of some games not ready to be shown till 2016. I'm thinking about Guerilla's game and Media Molecule.

I think this might be the presentation:

Uncharted 4 (closes the conference)
Guerilla's game
Media Molecule's game
Destiny DLC
MGS V
Battlefront (opens the conference)
Indies
Old IP reboot (like they did with Double Fine)
Street Fighter 5
Entertainment
Maybe something Blops 3 and AC Syndicate
Japanese games trailer

New Vanillaware game! *crosses fingers*

I think this might be the presentation:

That Guerilla Game is in development since 5 years and according to shinobi set for an 2016 Release. They even planned to show it at last years E3....They will definetely have more to show, than just a simple GC Trailer

Media Molecule is also working since 2010 on their new ip...And if it really turns out to be a Morpheus Game, then also here a CG Trailer doesn't make sense (especially because Sony will present Morpheus at the E3 Show)

I'm starting to think GG's Horizon is a Fall title.
First half of 2016 is already packed with Sony exclusives, and later that year for a game so long in developement seems too much (although all 1st party games are getting delayed heh...)

Nintendo announces FZERO-U and releases and FZEROX remake WITH 64DD track editor addon or FZERO GX remaster, Waverace-U, Pilotwings-U, Metroid-U 3D and 2D, Metroid Prime HD Trilogy releases in August with Metroid U demo included.

Capcom anounces new Ghouls and Ghosts (2D), REmake2 (RE2 not Zero), HD remaster of Dragons Dogma, and Vanquish sequel.

I die from excitement.

So now that Ratchet and Clank has been delayed, it seems to me that a Price drop for the PS4 is coming, get either $50 to $100 price drop by this year and get ready for 2016 rampage of games

I can see a price drop along with bundling some games this holiday.

This looks nice! But it is just a skin for PS4. It can't tell anything.

Fingers crossed Sony is just getting ready to drop the bomb at E3. The Last Guardian November 2015.

Holiday saved.
For the few hundred thousand of us that would actually buy the game.

I think releasing TLG during a busy holiday period isn't good for anyone. It's more of a spring/summer game.
