No, his characterization was terrible. I'm baffled by people raving about it.I must be the only one who thought Vincent D'nofrio was kind of awful as Kingpin. Hated his voice.

Where did Gao go if not China? Hoping S2 brings her back in some form.
Fisk finally realizing he was the bad guy was awesome.
I AM THE ILL INTENT!
Yep, all great scenes. All the church visits had great dialogue imo, with Peter McRobbie killing it as Lantom. And the whole sequence with Fisk "breaking bad" at the end was rad, I got chills when he stepped out of the vehicle. Really enjoyed the courtroom scene too. I hope we get a bit more lawyering next season, with Matt having to intertwine his DD actions with his daily job. It's such a great quote too. In fact, that entire scene is one of my favourites. It's up there with Matt's monologue in court about good and evil and his confession to the priest.
I liked Foggy well enough. What I didn't understood is how he could be dating Karen and being into her and then just suddenly bang his Ex. Now banging his Ex is nothing out of the ordinary, since he was dealing with some heavy stuff. The problem was that we didn't seen him tell Karen anything, even missing the funeral when doing some investigating with the Ex. And Karen didn't gave two shits or even acknowledge anything, and now Karen and Murdock are hinted to be a future love interest? So bizarre.
You should be ashamed.
Daredevil is easily as good as Batman if not better.
Bro fist.
Crazy how much episode 7 "Stick" stands out, and for the wrong reasons.
Absolutely dire episode, and as soon as the next episode begins, the quality is immediately back, it's very noticeable.
Just couldn't get on board with the old mentor thing, they tried way too hard to make him 'badass' and it just didn't work for me.
Nah as stated in my post I'm biased, BB is god tier level he's the best superhero in DC universe and no way is DD his equivalent. DD isn't even close as popular
I hope next season has more Matt Murdock lawyering.
Bruh.
Gao giving DD some good ol' taijutsu was nice to see, though. I cannot wait for Iron Fist.

same the only thing ive ever liked him in is the bug in MIB...
I'm disappointed. I was expecting "We Built This City" with Daredevil being cut in every time they say "this city"
Fisk finally realizing he was the bad guy was awesome.
I AM THE ILL INTENT!
I don't know what exactly Fisk did that made him think he was doing something good. I mean when not kicking people out of their home, ordering and committing hits, he's also people and drug trafficking.
I read a lot of Daredevil comics many years ago, he's one of the only superheros I can say that about. Particularly, I read the Frank Millar issues. I haven't followed the stuff recently at all, but I wanted to see how the show was.
Generally, I liked it quite a bit. There was some very good casting in it, and the fight scenes were well done.
There were some things that didn't make very much sense to me though.
Why did Karen not know that Matt was Daredevil? I mean, she was in his apartment the night she was attacked and out of the bedroom where Matt was comes someone with similar physique and a black mask. I was like, "well at least we don't have to see Matt hide it from his love interest the whole season." Lol.
Also, why did the Kingpin know that killing Elena would bother Daredevil? Elena is tied to Murdock, Nelson, and Page. But where did Daredevil ever provide the Kingpin a reason to believe that he had anything to do with her? Furthermore, assuming that the Kingpin did somehow know that DD knew Elena, why did he make it so difficult for DD to find that warehouse? DD said he hunted the entire city looking for that one crackhead who did it, to tell him what he wanted to know. It seems like anything could have went wrong, DD could have not found the crackhead, and the crackhead might have just not remembered and not told him. Would Nobuo have just been waiting there anyway?
I know, right? If the series ended right there, it would've still been fine. That last stand was fantastic, though.
I think his plan was to control organized crime in the city, then destroy while remaining at the top himself, thus preventing a power vacuum.
Perfect.

I was hesitant to start watching this show because I'm not a big fan of Marvel's films, but I'm glad I did. This show is way better than I expected. So much so that it's hard to believe its from the same company that brought us the Thor movies and the rest of the MCU.
I will say, however, that I don't understand why Matt Murdock was created as a blind person. I mean, I realize that's how it is in the comics, but in the show him being blind hardly affects anything. If he could see, almost nothing would be different. I don't see why he just couldn't be a normal person who trains in those fighting styles. But again, comic adaptation, I get it. I just it was weird how his blindness is almost like an afterthought.
Finished the Season yesterday, so time to catch up on the spoilers.
We were quite shocked to see Wesley killed off. I really liked his character.
Overall a fun Season though. Really looking forward to S2.
So who is the Guy that Stick met up with at the end of the Stick Episode?
So will Vanessa be an evil mastermind in S2 trying to get Kingpin out?
I feel like the only person who likes the Stick episode.
With most of the series focused on Fisk and his origins, it's nice to have an episode dedicated mostly to Matt and show what happened to him after his father died and where he learned to fight.
*just* finished the show.
People didn't like the Stick episode? What the hell? I'm a sucker for the "higher powers" showing up briefly and especially a sucker for pushing a hero into trying to break his personal morals (no killing). Stick was great and the actor did an amazing job.
Venessa and Fisk are the true OTP and Venessa is great. Loved that she ended up supporting Fisk's philosophy.
Holy shit love some of the lines hidden away on first viewing.
"The fact it's red means blood doesn't show up as much" - Matt Murdock about his dad's boxing gear.
Also the comment Leland made about how whenever heroes damage property their profits go up 10% made me realise they are like MCU's Damage Control, except evil.
Just wondering, other than Avengers, what movies had characters fighting in NYC?
Norton's Hulk fucked up Brooklyn.
Marvel put up an article about the design of the costume. Ryan Meinerding designed it, which I'm kind of shocked to learn since it didn't translate that well into live action like his other costumes do (Cap, Iron Man, Thor, Hawkeye, Widow, etc). The concept art is way better than the final real world suit.
