So how do you fight that big thing? One complaint I have is the frame rate on ps4. The game is pushing the system to the limit, how on earth will they manage to add AA
So I'm just walking through the verdant meadows and Gladio puts his arm around my shoulder teasingly and says something which isn't subtitled for whatever reason, Noctis pushes him away and playfully tries to hit him, then I see a "Link-Synced" notification at the top of my party list. It's a filled yellow circle with a bolt through it, and it's pulsing. What exactly does this mean? It happened once before.
It had VA for me, but what essentially happened is Glad gave you advice before a fight presumably in regards to nearby enemies. This gave you the sync status, which makes cross link attacks much more likely.

my best was 12 hit, which resulted in a Level IV finisher at over 5000 Damage each finisher hit.how many cross-link can you do? I did 9 and executed lvl.3 finisher.
The link QTE timing gets really brutal.
No one answered my first question tho and yeah I hope they fix the frame rate
Woops!
Haven't done it myself but people say when you camp, go on tours/quests with Prompto and events happen, big thing wades into shallow water/out of lake and you can go toe to...toe.
Yup, he's always on land subsequently, and if you defeat him a new one comes right out of the water. Are there opportunities to fight the Catoblepas again after the first Prompto tour?
Why no cross link when fighting
the huge Dinosauror behemoth?(Cathelopeas???)
As multiple people have speculated in the past few pages, the two boss fights probably might as well have had "UNDER CONSTRUCTION" hung around their necks. I'm inclined to agree, they don't seem like finished content as much as a proof of concept right now.
Like "see those big things in the lake? Yeah you can pull and fight those. But we're not exactly finished yet so please be excited in the meantime".
Double/Triple jump is a must through level advancement in the full game. Along with chainable aerial combos.
That is making the game a lot more KH, but that's what it needs to make the player control feel much more satisfying and exciting.
It's lacking that massively at the moment.
I'm reserving judgment. I see potential in the systems they have in place right now, but I'm keeping in mind that this is early-game stuff and entire aspects of combat are missing/unfinished. TBH, giving us a combination of passive and equippable (a la KH 1/2) perks as we level up, along with the different active and passives associated with each weapon, would really liven things up.Well Versus was whole sale KH2 combat in a Final Fantasy game, and now they are trying some weird middle ground that nobody hates, but nobody loves
Question, is there a way to prevent being poisoned every 5 seconds in the cave without buying Antidotes?
There's a food buff that makes you immune. You need to kill the buffalo things I think and then rest.
I'm growing weary of this whole "camp" system. How are things going to work when you're not out in an open field and you're in Accordo, for instance?
Curious what the control inputs are for this. They should definitely have some aerial combos outside of Armiger as well.

I've only played for about 30 minutes so far, went out with some dude to learn link attacks and thats it. I kept hearing how good this game looks, but so far it looks pretty blocky and bad. Does it look a lot better when I leave this desertforest area?
That decision alone is so baffling to me. Just why?
I saw 4 tour quests (1 prompto, 1 Ignis, 2 Gladio) is there more?
Damn, mate. I only got Gladio who taught me band attacks and then Prompto with whom I was gathering mushrooms. Since then I must have camped about 10 times and I haven't even gotten the Ignis one yet. Any idea how to make them trigger ? I even went out and killed the behemoth without summon (took me 19 minutes), explored the whole cave again and got about 5 levels and still no Ignis tour((((
Is there really second Gladio tour ?
I think they are mostly random. The second Gladio tour requires you to beat Behemoth (story mode) but you already seemed to have done that. For Ignis I heard you have to beat the game but not sure.
I did the Ignis quest before completing the demo (unless it keeps track of me doing it on an older save), I assumed it depended on which camp you camp at. I was at the one furthest to the top right, which began his stargazing quest. Doing that unlocks a subsequent quest which I think might be glitched, I definitely recall doing it but it's still on the map.
Lol i just noticed i thing i never did since D1: doesn't the menu screen change with the real time of the day? Then why mine is always at night?
It always start at night, and it's not according to real time of the day. You have to wait until it turns to morning. It's same time as the actual game's day/night cycle.

So, are we expecting another round of feedback for 2.0? Don't want to start writing if it all goes to waste.
A few weeks ago they said they'd like to release a small, free demo for all later this year or so, with only a small battle ground (in the city area from the TGS tech demo) to get a taste of the battle system.Thought I could ask here:
what is likelihood of SE releasing this demo to everyone during E3 (or after)? Are they still making money out of the FF-0 exclusivity?

Watched the whole video. In combat, the frame rate remains the same for the most part. There is not much of an advantage. Outside from the combat, general traversal does see an improvement and there are no longer major frame drops.
