Steam Summer Sale 2015 thread of refunding everything you buy (June 11-21)

Is the borderlands 2 goty extra content worth it? I never finished the first game, got bored with it half way through.
Yes, some great DLC. Tiny Tina expansion might well be one of the greatest pieces of DLC made yet for any game.
Is Borderlands Presequel + DLC Pass for $25 worth it? I loved BL2.
Presequel DLC is apparently much less substantial than previous games.

Was gonna get Borderlands Pre-Sequel. Then I remembered BL2 is almost dead whenever I'm looking to play with randoms.

Decided to check stats and holy shit, only 2.6k players? Was the game so awful? Is it that dead on the other platforms? :|

Bought all of the OG Rocksmith DLC and still don't have a foil.

Sunless Sea is AWESOME but you have to be patient and like slow gameplay that is rich in lore and requires a lot of reading.. if you like those types of games then Sunless Sea would be a good choice... They are also adding some new updates to it soon I think while workign on the submarine DLC

Personal opinion: These three days have been excellent sales days, while I'm not fond of the meta-game and think it's worse than the gem raffle/teams event from the last two big sales, I think the actual games on sale and the sale discounts themselves is one of the best in years so far. Lots of new entries of fantastic games on sale, many games cheaper than they've ever been, mixture of new and old.

Now if only I had money.

Bought Recettear and I absolutely love it. I don't know if it is still at a sale, got it yesterday but I can strongly recommend it for anyone who doesn't have a problem with anime characters in a cuter style.

I think I have enough games to carry me to the holiday sale now. Must remain strong.

Maybe Massive Chalice as a daily, but it's probably too new for that.

Passing on Tomb Raider. I want to play Dishonored again more and I'd also like to walk away with at least one new game I haven't played. "$4! Oh the humanity!" Yeah yeah... budget buying in effect.

Recettear is great. Nothing else like it.

What's the word on Borderlands Pre Sequel. Worth it at 20 bucks. I've really enjoyed the previous borderlands games, but I do feel like the balance gets out of whack once you get to higher levels (you die too fucking fast).

This year's event seems an exercise in futility. Doesn't matter whether you click or not, you get a badge either way. Whether you get cards and how many also appears to be entirely random, unlike in past years where they were rewards for participation.

Valdis Story and Rouge Legacy could both drop lower, right? I'm guessing they won't, but I was thinking I might buy them and just want to make sure.

Also, how is Kingdoms of Amalur?

SteamGAF hates Borderlands.

I haven't seen them on Daily/Flash yet, so they will likely drop lower.

Kingdoms is a love it or hate it kind of game. You can only really find out if you pick it up and give it a try for a few hours. Don't do side quests.

while I'm not fond of the meta-game and think it's worse than the gem raffle/teams event from the last two big sales,
I dunno man, I think this meta-game is better since it doesn't screw over big chunks of the user base by dividing them into teams to unlock stuff, which is a system that is pretty biased towards the hardcore Steam meta-gamers who already have tons of cards and probably have setups devoted to idling for cards to sell during the sales.

Yeah I absolutely loved Borderlands 2 but have been hesitant for the pre-sequel. Not sure why but part of it is the oxygen mechanic.

I'm really bummed that Mordor isn't 15. I was almost positive it would be, by this sale. Ah well, i've waited a long time, I can continue to wait. It seems like the bigger titles just aren't getting the huge discounts this year. Looks like nothing for me from today's deals, i'll keep an eye on flash stuff.

Picked up the Tomb Raider Legend - Underworld trilogy. Really want Cities but I know I won't be playing it right now and I just got LEGO Jurassic World. I think I'm set for now.

Here's to seeing if any of the Call of Duty games go down (heh, right) or Assassin's Creed Rogue (double heh).

I know for sure I'll still be getting Dark Souls, that price is perfect (but will wait till payday).

I feel this is the first year I'm using the Summer Sale to my advantage.

Blah, 50% off Morder AND you can't get even the non-GOTY anymore?

It's been almost a year... I expected this would be the sale when I'd buy it, but I guess not. :-(

purchased so far Pac Man DX + Rogue legacy + Risk of rain

how about Gods will be watching?

is it really so frustrating and disappointing?

Comp is the core of the game. Without playing competitive you will never be ranked. The other modes are for different play or warmup. Comp is CS:GO.

Competitive is its own mode, traditional 5v5 on official servers. You can still death match, arms race, casual, server browse, whatever.
Kind of sucks for me as I don't enjoy the pressure and anxiety I get from round based objective elimination modes or extra competitive modes. Maybe when I git gud I'll dabble.

Is the Chivalry: Deadliest Warrior DLC worth getting or should I just get the base game?

I own it and can honestly say it doesn't hold a candle to the original content. It feels very awkward and the majority of the population from what I've seen doesn't bother with it.
