Steam Summer Sale 2015 thread of refunding everything you buy (June 11-21)

Yes Guardian of Light is fantastic and everybody needs to play it. Osiris was very disappointing though.

Was it really?

And screw it, I got Tomb Raider: The Last Revelations on PC, making the third game in the series that I double dip on lol, but I don't feel like going through the other old games really. Can probably run it on my laptop too.

Jesus fuck, so many Tomb Raider games on sale. Which ones are worth getting?

I'd recommend Guardian of Light, Legend, and Anniversary.

I wouldn't bother with Underworld.

I just didn't have fun with it and the game had performance issues on my pc even though my hardware is far above the recommended specs.

I haven't played any of the others.

I haven't played Osiris. How do you mean, disappointing? Like, how does it compare to Guardian? Just more of the same, but not as good? Or just more of the same, and could have been so much more?

Im confused, it says this War of Mine is a daily deal but i dont see it in any of the main advertisments?

it was a daily yesterday

daily's last for two days but it's not listed in the featured daily's for today because there's new ones

if you scroll down there's a "yesterday's big deals" section and it will be listed in there with all the rest of yesterday's daily's

It was part of yesterday's Daily Deals:

As a note, Daily Deals prices take hold over a 48 hour period: so even after the next 24-hour Daily Deals rotate in, you'll still be able to grab the daily deals from the prior day at the same discount rate, under the "Yesterday's Big Deals" category on the front page.

Yeah i apparently missed it when looking at the yesterday section.

Oh it seems the images are rotating out because there isnt enough space to show them all.

Ok im out been avoiding this sale i dont need any more games but i needed to pick that one up.

How is Chivalry? Apparently the reviews suggest that the game is currently kind of cancerous now with all the hacking. Could be a case of not gitting gud doe.

Played Chivalry over 1200 hours. I've seen actual hackers maybe a handfull of times. The skill ceiling in the game can get pretty high, so a lot of high level moves may look almost like hacking to a newcomer, but actual cheating is a very small problem in the game.

More of the same but not as good sums it up nicely. The puzzles in particular are much worse than Guardian and there's just way less of them in general. I think the game is ok, but it feels like a pretty lazy sequel that's just way worse in most ways and much less fun to play.

Idk how you guys are getting to like level 2000 of this silly monster game.

I'm at 210 now. Record is 310.

I barely got over 100 on the first day. Got to 270 yesterday. Literally just started and my team is at level 80 in about 5 minutes. They keep tweaking it to make it easier or something. I dunno. I'd like it a lot more if the deals that it was linked to were more interesting.

But on the plus side, I just bought the Prison Architect pack with all the other games, none of which I own, and all of which look amazing. I'm pretty happy.

The first 100ish levels go extremely quick now cause everyone's spamming their unlocks from the previous day. I guess some people are keeping that momentum but I loose it.

I also keep crashing Steam with my super clicky macro, lol.

Ah what a shame, especially when it is Egypt.:/

My first real Steam sales and having a blast.

Tomb Raider
Child of Light
Deadlight
Portal 2

I'm only buying games I really want so by the end of the sales, I'll get by for months to come :-).

Can we all agree that the people who use nukes and stuff when there is a bunch of raining golds on the boss are total assholes.
It's ruining my room right now, but whoever is doing it is nuking every lane of every floor, so we're moving up a level every three seconds.

We just went up a couple of hundred levels in a matter of minutes.

UNLIMITED GOOOOOOOOOOOOLD!

It crashes almost every time I do that.

Any 7 days to die impressions here? I love survival but haven't played any types of that game in ages and ages.

I have 90 cents left, any good game for up to that price? Won't have internet for the next two weeks so a last game to dl and play offline would be good.

im at 810 and man gold is like fucking dirt now (and thats with all the good shit bought/leveled up i.e my health is at 713k and needs a ridiculous amount to continue)

$32 bucks left

left to buy:
farycry 3
dishonored
bioshock infinite
vanishing of ethan carter
final fantasy xiii
darksiders ii

gonna be close

and i really regret not buying guild wars 2 for $10 sale, seems its rare to go on sale, sigh

I use my browser to do it, makes it not crash. Steam client breaks when I do it there.

The gold gets glitched when you click way too fast, so even though it showed I have 19,000M when it fixes itself it went down to 15,700M.

I cant get the game to launch in browser at all.

It doesn't get any easier. Every sale puts you deeper and deeper into debt while growing your backlog uncontrollably.

Yes it does, when you already own everything. :D

Someone has mentioned Camera Obscura and Revolution Ace. I have no idea whether they are any good, but they have trading cards so they basically pay for themselves.

Ugh, I have such a backlog I thought that I'd be immune from these sales. Hah. So naive.

Managed to hold off on getting the whole Dreamfall/Longest Journey franchise though. I just don't have the time to play them even though they look really great.

Bought CS:GO, played it for 10 minutes, refunded it. Definitely not my type of game...

It takes a bit getting used to. Especially if you come from CoD of BF.

D:. I suppose that's true, but at that point your SteamLeft would be decades lel.

Are you using Chrome? Chrome works fine for me, but having that game in there sucks up about 21% of my memory.
