Fallout 4 - Multiple E3 Gameplay Demos, Releasing November 10th, 2015

All I could think about was how amazing the game looked in action. The shooting looked adequate. The customization aspects look awesome. IT'S COMING OUT THIS YEAR!!!

It's a big game with a ton of neat stuff but the gameplay demo totally encompassed how I am utterly disinterested in and unstimulated by Bethesda's idea of a "role playing game" and what they've done with the Fallout franchise. It's worlds apart from the series roots to the point where it is now a completely unique entity, for better or (at least for me) worse. It's just not Fallout 4 as I'd see Fallout 4. It's open world RGP-lite with crafting system made by Bethesda. Cool if you're into that. Otherwise *shrug*

I'll give it a look when it comes out but yeah, crafting/town building sealed the deal that this really isn't for me.

I feel the same. All those side stuff just feel overwhelming for me, the times you need to devote for it just too much.

Looks amazing, cannot wait. The town things doesn't really interest me, but if it is fun and easy maybe it will grab me.

You are hitting on what I'm kind of feeling.

The whole "Dead Rising" + "Saints Row" over the top Vibe, seemed crazy/whacky and fun. But yeah, something about all of this felt divorced from what Fallout should be? I mean, Fallout has always been silly. But I agree with you, that this just feels like a very specific RPG world they want to create, with a Fallout skin around it....

I don't know how else to put it. I personally thought it looks fun. But I just hope to hell,t he story/side quests are written well, and this isn't just a sandbox/rpg that is whacky.

Reposting this here too.
Combat looks great, gun customization looks amazing, graphics look really good but the character models look weird, SUPER HYPED ABOUT SETTLEMENTS HYPED MORE THAN YOU COULD BELIEVE..... but the dialogue looks kinda bad. Kinda upset that they Biowared it.

Who remembers this:

Had to have been someone working on the game or family member/friend of a dev.

No fucking way someone would guess all that.

im 33 years old.

Im dancing around my room waving my hands in the air like a 6 year old on christmas....

BEYOND HYPED.

PLEASE let the PIPBOY Collectors Edition be common... i hope its not one of those only 100 made so ill never get to preorder it.

You kiddin me? They're gonna make a shit ton extra on that. I hardly ever download asymmetrical apps like this and I'm gonna get it. They're definitely gonna have it stocked in good numbers. I just hope it isn't just iphone size tailored and has an adjustable frame for my phablet.

The mass effect dialogue system is the biggest insult I've ever seen. I mean, I was pretty offended by the horrible graphics and soulless world in the original trailer, but jesus christ. Scrap the fucking voice acting if you don't have good dialogue. Go the Pillars of Eternity route instead.

The Fallout 4 demo simply is one of my favorite E3 moment. November can't come fast enough. Everything they showed got me excited about the game. This is gonna be a HUGE timesink :)

This is exactly how I feel. When they're talking about AND THEN THE TUNES COME ON AND YOU REMEMBER WHAT MAKES FALLOUT GAMES GREAT! and showing this long montage of concept art like "those emotional Fallout vistas..." and then showing a dialogue system of four options that doesn't tell you what you're actually saying. It's less "this is how much we love Fallout" and more "this is how much we love our own take on RPGs."

I'm super excited. Blew me away. Looks incredible. So glad I won't have to wait long. E3 2015. Remember this. E3 2015.

Maybe some of us like that. Keep your Pillars of Eternity to yourself.

Love how everytime people complain that modern games focus on presentation rather than gameplay.
And then one of the most ambitious ganes ever is presented, which - judging previous bethesda games - gives you a ton of freedom and some new mechanics, and people have nothing else to do than crying over the graphics? Really?

Make that game run solid and polished and give witcher 3 a contest!

I seriously can't see the Town building stuff amounting to anything with significant gameplay benefits....right up until I remember Todd saying the best vendors in the game show up with that sort of thing...

Hopefully it's either as easy as they're saying, or there are other ways to get those weapons/armor.

A mile wide with the depth of a dime.

Still, depending on the mod tools available, it might be worth a look when it hits $10.

Fallout 4 has been probably my most anticipated game ever. Somehow the conference managed to make me even more hyped...shit, I think I might even buy my first Special Edition.

So they 'announce' it 6 months out and make the official reveal 5 months out. FFS I wish more developers would do this. Perfect amount of time to hype like crazy without getting dis-interested before the game is out.

This looks great. I am all about the crafting system.
