The interpretation of FFVII characters from all the spin-offs is so distant from the idea that the original game gave me that I'd really not welcome a remake.

I'd rather have no voice acting, vague 3d models, and let my imagination fill in the gaps.

And yet I'm sure I'll end up buying wathever monstrosity modern SE will produce...
