I wonder if 360 Kinect games will work with the new Kinect, heh.
Games that require an extra accesory are out.

I don't understand backwards compatibility hype. There is a already a console for that.
I have already played the games, I still have the console.

nope.
anything that requires an accessory including kinect... will not work.

Other's are not you?
My hype for this has diminished pretty severely. From what I gather the following situation would occur. Twenty years from now, the Xbox One servers are down. I hold, theoretically, a USB stick or a disc to update the XB1 to the latest firmware. Following that I plop in Perfect Dark Zero for the first time, because I have no taste. The game simply can't play because the servers are gone and I never downloaded the new version. This is correct right?
No shit. i still don't understand it.
There is smoke and mirrors at work here.
Even after he announced it, he walked it back a fair bit.
If PSNow was made free, for games you own, would that be backwards compatibility? Not really.
This is access to some back catalogue games, via downloads and/or streaming.
Imo, the term 'Backwards compatibility' should be reserved for actual native support of previous gen disks.
Still, could be cool, but my initial pleasant surprise has been tamed a bit by reality.
I think I heard ps now breathe it's last breath
All games work on one box. What's there to not understand?
You don't have a VCR hooked up still do you? If you could all of a sudden shove your VHS tapes into a DVD player you already have and it worked what is your reaction then?
I think I heard ps now breathe it's last breath
I still have VCR hooked up. I never use it though, the quality of blu rays and dvds makes watching an old VHS tape a less that stellar experience.
Like i said, I have played my 360 games, now I play on next gen for new experiences. I don't have the desire to go back and play games I have played 100s of times already. Obviously there are plenty of people who would prefer to play the old stuff over the new. But I still don't understand it.
Its a cool feature I guess, but for me it is no way a megaton. A megaton would be a new and different way to play. The fabled next gen experience.
Sorry if its been asked..
Can I play XBLA games that I have on my 360 with this?
Because people actually value their games and don't qualify old games as "they are old so I won't play it"
If it can be played on newer hardware that extends the life of products they put money into and have kept.
"New and different ways to play" are overrated, but that's neither here nor there.
Soul Calibur not showing up. Scott Pilgrim was delisted wasn't it?

I'm sure it's been mentioned already, but how are people excited when we all saw what MS did with BC back *on* the 360?
I just installed Viva Piñata and gave it a go. Holy shit it works and loads quicker than ever. Love it.
Absolutely EVERY Xbox One owner has a Xbox 360. Yes.I don't understand backwards compatibility hype. There is a already a console for that.

Probably been asked, but I ask anyway:
Will it get improved resolution and frame-rate?
Is it a emulation approach, or are they "reprogamming" the "executables" so to speak.
PS3 had something like 70-80% emulation and it wasn't a big deal.
if its recompiled then expect better framerates (on average upto the framerate the game was locked at) and same framerate, they won't go out of their way to change the games programming to apply improvements
They didn't specifically say that there would be enhancements besides using some of the features of the One like taking a screenshot. Any other difference we'll have to wait to hear about unless more was revealed after the conference.Probably been asked, but I ask anyway:

Nearly every third party game was better on 360 though. For people who enjoyed last gen in general, this is huge.what a fucking megaton. I wish the PS3 didn't use the cell now, argghhhh.
I think the PS3 exclusive library is significantly better than the Xbox 360's (for me personally). For those prefer Xbox exclusives and won't mind playing with the older graphics, this is hugeeee.
How do you get XBLA games?
