Steam Summer Sale 2015 thread of refunding everything you buy (June 11-21)

Cook, Serve, Delicious only for 0.99€? Now I don't have any excuse ;)

For those who played both, Shadow Returns or Shadowrun Dragonfall DC? From what I understand Dragonfall is a stand alone expansion right?
Yes, Dragonfall DC is stand alone game. And if you have the original, you could import the original campaing into Dragonfall to play it with the improved mechanics (I'm doing it right now).

I'm thinking of buying the BioShock Triple Pack. I really enjoyed/loved all three games on the PS3 so I'd like them on PC now too, but too bad all DLC isn't included. I'd love a Complete BioShock Pack with Minerva's Den and both Burial at Sea episodes, with of course a somewhat higher price.

If I want to buy the DLC separate with the Triple Pack, it'll cost me €8,99 for the Triple Pack + €3,39 for Minerva's Den + €9,99 for both Burial at Sea episodes = € 22.37, which in hindsight may be a little much considering I have a rather substantial backlog until the pack hits sales again.

Hmm.

Buy the Triple Pack now, you can get the DLC for likely quite cheap the next sale.

Not sure why you're limiting yourself to 1 of them, but if you're only going to play one, then Dragonfall should be it.

A Story About My Uncle sorts itself under S in my library and I now hate Steam.

Really, that's a thing? Thanks for that heads up, SR is in my "actually going to play this for real when the mood strikes" backlog. Do I just install and launch the Dragonfall DC and go from there?

So I made this Animal Crossing like game called Castaway Paradise. It's 50% off. Steam will never ever feature it because it's not hardcore enough :/

Looks interesting. I will check it out!

Well, until Horse Lords comes out, which is probably this month or next.

I know, right.

I always have to take a screenshot of the CK2/EU4 front-end menu when I'm all caught up. It's the only time you don't get those little boxes advertising any DLC you don't own. :p

If more people complain about the lack of deeper discount for Trails in the Sky, Valve HAS to put it on sale sooner or later! >:(

I think that's how it works, right?
Also, Grim Dawn, please.

What are the chances of Resident Evil Revelations 2 getting a good discount this sale? Also Technobabylon is $14 right now, chances of it going any lower?

If Resident Evil gets a franchise sale or something, I still don't see it going past 50%. Probably something like 33% off for Revelations 2 if anything, lol.

Nabbed Ethan Carter before it slipped off the sale page.

Also cleaned up on CK2 DLC. 100% caught up now.

Scroll, Aaron. Scroll. It's there. Until 1 PM EST tomorrow, at least. :P

The prices for Xenonauts and Ryse are just disappointing...

Gog is giving it away free when you spend at least $50 on their summer sale. In fact you get three free games(Stalker, Sim City 2000, and Xenonaughts)lol between steam and Gog I have spent well over $250 this sale. Yikes!

No way!!! Looks like I need to get it now. How do you proceed to do that?

lol Nice. I tried to keep my GOG expenditures to a minimum (sticking primarily to stuff that isn't on Steam) & still ended up spending about $65.

So far have only spent about $20 on the Steam sale. That could change fast, but haven't seen a lot that I want that badly...the pricing on a lot of these sales isn't that great...Enhanced Steam is a nice tool to use...I basically won't purchase a game I want until it at least matches it's all-time lowest price. Lots of stuff in this sale is priced higher than recent past sales, particularly the 2014 Winter sale which seems to have had a lot better sales on quite a few games.

Wait, I'm a little confused about the Shadowrun games. Is Shadowrun Returns a different game from Dragonfall? Like if I get those two, content won't overlap?

Am I confused on the shadowrun games? They're the same discounts they've been since the sale started? I mean don't get me wrong, great prices already, just confused.

Hey guys, I'm thinking of springing for the Project Zomboid 4-pack. Two of the copies are spoken for (for myself & my fiance')...but would have 2 left if anyone wants to join in. The 4-pack costs $29.99, so each copy is basically $7.50 (vs. $8.99 if bought individually right now at 40% off).

So, anyone interested?

Also, if anyone has played the game & has opinions I'd love to hear them. The reviews on Steam are uniformly good to great, but GAF input is always appreciated.

Cheers!

Side Note: Normally I don't buy anything on Steam that isn't at least 60% off...but I've wanted to check out this game for a while. I also just read a blog post by the devs saying they're not going to allow the price to ever get below their original launch price which was $8 (at ;east not until they cook up a sequel & the 1st one is old enough to be in bundles, etc...). They said they view $8 as fair price floor for the title since that's what people who first bought in during early alpha days paid & the game is a lot more extensive now. They mentioned that the 4-pack takes you below that $8 floor by a tad & they're OK with that little bit of leeway since buying 4 copies is a "big commitment" to helping them out. So, if these guys are to be believed (& they do sound like cool/trustworthy devs) there's no time like the present to jump in on this game since it doesn't sound like the price will be getting lower any time soon....

Has anyone played Savage Lands or Project Zomboid? They're not really on too high of a discount but they both sound like great games.

Still waiting For Dark Souls 2 SOTFS and Ult SFIV to become daily sales.
I'm on the same boat regarding ds2. If sotfs hits $15 I'll probably put my card cash to use and finally pick it up
Just bought deus ex:HR and I don't care for stealth a whole lot but I've heard great things am I mistaken?
It's a good game but I would recommend dishonored over it if what you're looking for is a stealthy game that isn't about penalizing you when you mess up.

Shadowrun comes with the campaign "Dead Man's Switch," and you can DL usermade scenarios off Steam for it. Dragonfall was originally planned and released as paid DLC, but it was popular enough that they re-released it as a standalone game with engine improvements.

I would personally just get Dragonfall as it's much improved in terms of mechanics, and has a more satisfying plot. If you'e a big Shadowrun/cyberpunk rpg fan, by all means pick up both.

Edit: in terms of overlap they are completely separate. Characters, everything. The first one takes place in Seattle, while Dragonfall is in Berlin.

grabbed etahn carter yesterday

gorgeous...but man, i had no idea what i was doing...half-solved the first few puzzles and didn't realize that there was as olution. now i gotta run back and finish them...my gawd

I didn't look it up before too much buying it but Legend of Korra was really disappointing. I was looking through the achievements and there are only 8 levels? I beat chapter 3 and I was still missing most of my bending abilities so judging by how those first 3 levels went, I can only guess the game only really gets going near the very end. I didn't have high hopes for the game, which is why I waited for this sale but even then it was worse than I expected. Such a shame.

You keep all the abilities for New Game +

Ys VI for $10?

Wait until the Daily or Flash Sale, it will still be $10 by the end of the sale.

Edit: Maybe not if what TheSadRanger says is true.

I hope Shovel Knight and Trails in the Sky become daily deals. Also the Castlevania games would be okay I guess.

Thanks for the explanation.
