Uncharted 4: A Thief's End Gameplay (E3 2015)

Looks fun, but disappointed it wasn't a more open combat arena like the last demo. Still excited for this after they lost me with the shitty UC3.
It seems like they choose a single level so obviously it'll be a tad bit different. Besides, it seems like we will get a moving level; hopping from vehicle to vehicle.

TLG, FFVII, SIII and ND has STILL been capable of making me drop my jaw once again. This demo was IN-motherfucking-SANE.

That was pretty smart to simulate a bug at the beginning to make us believe that Tintin movie scene was an uncharted demo.

I was thinking about how Rise of the Tomb Raider looked fantastic...but it looked UC2 level fantastic. Absolutely nothing about that demo couldn't have been done exactly the same way in UC2 or 3. Except TR had much better graphics.

UC4 has evolved that Uncharted style gameplay in a meaningful way, and that level of physics and destructibility simply couldn't have been fathomed on the earlier UC games.

Best GAMEPLAY of E3. It takes Uncharted 2/3's train/boat levels and ratchets it up to 1000. The size of the areas are fucking massive and everything looks fantastic, IQ and all. Can't wait for this but I also can't believe they didn't even mention the Uncharted collection.

Really? ROTR looked all scripted linear sequences.

So many threads and so much stuff I wanna talk about!! Ahh!!

This looked incredible. The destruction, the animations, the graphics, just stunningly gorgeous.

I always liked the way the Uncharted games looked. That said, they never seemed to blow my mind the way they did for others. This demo really went beyond my expectations, however. Impressive stuff.

Gameplay is very familiar, which isn't a bad thing but sort of underwhelming. Still looks fantastic regardless.

Damn, keighley just mentioned on the live feed that theres a whole 2nd half to the Uncharted 4 demo that's even better, to be shown in the showfloor later.

so this seems open world, but I am probably just misreading the veritcal slice.

ND is really good at making that illusion. Probably the best at it. Especially creating the environment on different levels, never too linear or flat. Sadly, the moment you fuck up in the world, you are hijacked and put back in your place. :(

Technically speaking that's what the majority of this demo was too. We probably shouldn't turn this thread into ROTR vs UC4. Both look like they're gonna be great next gen entries in existing franchises.

This looked really sweet too. Damn guys! Sony killed.

I hate gunplay tho. I wish I could watch someone else play, like in this trailer.

I think they learned a lot from TLoU. I am seeing a more open ended encounter to a degree previously absent from its predecessors.

I still can't believe that a game attaining these things can look that good.

you are insane if you think rotr has better graphics

edit:ignore this post. it was a mistake its nothing but trash

WOW no it was not it was mainly all gameplay with crazy detail, destruction, animations and open maps.

when the sandbags deformed, I said wow

That was nice.

The look on the 2 guys faces (the one Sully took out and the one Drake uppercut) when they were taken down, had great facial expressions too.

Looked amazing but my god that banter. That's what I'm most looking forward too lol

Yeah I thought it seemed a bit forced at first but on my second watch I realise I just needed to get into it :-)

The gunplay and movement was still far superior in the initial reveal imo and I hope its just the way this level played out. The initial reveal was smooth and more fluid - just hope it wasn't bs like they did with TLOU on that reveal....hmmmmm

Damn, that vehicle chase was really impressive. The paths all seemed refreshingly open-ended that I've never experienced.

Can't wait to see the next half of the demo throughout the week!
